What you are

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

What you are

What you are wearing thread!

I am a new Cber, and to get used to what Chatterbox is all about I was looking through some old threads. I stumbled upon a few "What you are wearing" threads and I thought I would make one of my own!

Today I wore black leggings, a long-sleeved black shirt, and a skirt I got recently. The skirt is black with red floral patterns on it, and a line of buttons are down the front. I wore tawny brown shoes that were lined with fur, and neon emoji socks underneath (That's just between us ;)). My hair was half curled in an attempt to style it while rushing out the door, resulting in it coming up just enough to frame my face.

Share your outfits if you'd like :)

@Shhh Wow, your art never fails to impress me! I was wondering if maybe you could draw one of my outfits from this thread? (I know you've drawn me before, but your art is just SO GOOD!)

Ahhh that’s amazing! I love it, Shhh! Thanks so much! Your anatomy is really good, and I love your style!

@Leeli, ahhh thank you! I really admire your work so that's an incredible compliment. :) Anatomy was something I struggled with for a long time-- I'm so glad that you think I'm improving. I've been working with reference pics lately and they really help. (Sorry you kinda look short in my drawing though-- I meant to draw you with more like Leafpool's proportions, but my hand had other ideas.)

@Agent Winter, aww, thanks! I'll draw you soon-- it's currently 1 am where I live and I'm suffering from insomnia and a lack of a sketchbook. I was going to draw you earlier, too, but the whole hair thing got in my way. I'm going to draw everyone who's recently and regularly posted on the thread at least once, and then I'll start doing some repeats. What I'm trying to say is, thanks for the compliments and I'll draw you soon!

(P.S.-- sorry for any weird mistakes or typos. First of all, as previously mentioned, it's one am. Second of all, I'm typing on an ancient iPod which has trouble with pretty much everything. It autocorrects weird stuff and doesn't have a screen big enough to show me all that I'm typing at once, so I can't proofread. Also, whenever I type a key, it randomly grows larger, apparently so that I know which letter I clicked. But it's incredibly laggy, so I'm trying to type though a haze of delayed letter balloons. Anyways, I'm going to stop this post now and let the Admins review it during their regularly schedules office hours in the morning.) (uh, Admins, that is how it works, right? I'm not accidentally disturbing one of you by posting in the middle of the night when I'm in the same time zone?)

You're right. I log off whenever I'm done for the day, then one of us logs on the next morning to review whatever has accumulated while we were sleeping. Late-night and early-morning submissions don't disturb us in the least.

I actually put on nice-ish clothes today! I’m wearing a thick-ish sweatshirt style shirt with thin grey and ivory stripes, and a little triangle of grey coming down from the collar (those things probably have a name, but I don’t know it), and the ends of the sleeves are those wide cuff-thingies that are on sweatshirts (wow I have a lack of vocabulary today). With that I’m wearing dark jeggings and white socks. My hair is in a half-up French braid and I have a simple gold double-ring ear cuff on each ear. But—here comes the kind of crazy part—I also have on a wee bit of blush/cheek tint and some lip gloss/chapstick (it’s clear, more for my chapped lips than for looks—but it somehow makes me look like I’m wearing lipstick even though it’s not tinted? Which is weird...). Yep. Even though I RARELY wear makeup (and by rarely I mean like, once a year at dance recitals when I have to XD). But lately I’ve been wearing the blush and lipstick every now and then, and I kinda like it. It’s simple and looks really natural, but it brightens my face a bit, which is nice. And most importantly it doesn’t drive me crazy with the way it feels. XD

Pictures of my shoes! They didn't turn out exactly how I wanted, and so I was a little like, ehhhh...did I just ruin my shoes? But I guess they're okay. (And the toes got smudged a little! Sharpie isn't supposed to do that!

I couldn't position them in a way that I could get just one or two pictures of them, so I took a whole lot of pictures instead. XP

So, I did the toes with my name, in gold and in this cool font (copying Jay-Z shhhhhhh). The N is backwards on purpose. I really loooove it (but one of them did get a bit smudged when I wore them).

I am going to proceed to unnecessarily this thread with pictures of my shoes. Maybe I can combine a couple?

Alright, these two pictures are of the outside sides of my shoes. Star Wars quotes!

I hope the picture doesn't get resized oddly. We'll just have to wait and see.

These pictures are a little fuzzy for some reason. But the Sharpie on my Converse is also a little fuzzy. (I didn't know that it would bleed a little bit!) Sorry for all these pictures, I just wanted to document pretty much every side of these shoes. XD

And then here's the inside side of my left shoe,

And the right shoe. Thank goodness, finally done with the photos. They also say "These aren't the shoes/you're looking for." On the little reinforced bit that goes down the heel, but I don't need to post a picture of that.

 This art isn't showing, Leafpool.

Ahhh I love those! I really love the gold lettering of your name on the toes especially. Now I’m really tempted to get some converse just so I can doodle on them. XD

It's a lazy Sunday kind of outfit for me. I'm wearing a pale yellow slightly cropped sweater, with my dad's oversized navy blue Patagonia jacket on top. My pajama pants are a dark fuchsia with images of cartoon dogs skiing around little cartoon turquoise trees. My hair, as usual is a mess, especially so given I haven't brushed it. I'm not wearing any socks or slippers or anything. I'm expecting to go shopping with my mom later today, so this could quickly change.

Yesterday was my brother's Bar Mitzvah and I was looking GREAT if I do say so myself. I was wearing this vintage Ann Taylor dress, about mid-calf length and flowy, with a fabric belt to cinch at the waist. It 's black, with a marbled sort of floral pattern, intwining leaves and stems printed in tan, and pink-and-red roses all over it. It's short-sleeved, with a collar and buttons down the front. There's a slit up the front that goes to about mid-thigh. It's sooo pretty, and one of my favorite dresses. (@Admins, would it be okay to post a photo without my face in it?) I also had on pearl earrings, these strappy tan bandage heels with big gold buckles, and more makeup than usual.

Right now I'm supposed to be packing for a school trip. I'm wearing Adidas track pants and a lavendar-colored t-shirt.

How about a photo of the dress on a hangar without a person in it?

Today I’m wearing a black semi-fitted shirt under a sweatshirt, the top half of which is white (including tops of the sleeves) and the bottom half of which is navy blue (also the sleeves too). The top says ‘bien’ in stitched navy lettering and the bottom says ‘fait’ in stitched white lettering. Bien fait is French, and means something to the effect of ‘well done’. The neckline of the sweatshirt is kind of weird—it has some visible stitching and then just raw edges, which looks kinda neat, but it’s also a weird shape and pretty big/low-ish, which is why I don’t like wearing it without something under it. With that I have on my fleece lined grey and black leggings (as anyone who regularly reads this thread will have noticed, I wear them a lot XD) and white socks. My hair is kinda dirty/oily, so until I wash it it’s in a half-up Dutch braid.

I was going to post this under my regular CBer name, but then I saw Abi's post about her dress and wanted to draw it, so I also wanted to ask for a pic so that I can get it right? Because it sounds incredibly gorgeous and I want to get the details right. (And also, you wanted to post a pic and now I'm just curious.)

Today I'm wearing black leggings, a turquoise lacy fitted tank top (really, just lace-patterned), grey knee-high socks with diamondish designs, and a loose mid-thigh cardigan/sweater with a flowery lace back. It looks better than I thought it would?

I’m in NYC for a school trip! And it is WAY colder than my weak LA-native self is used to! I’m wearing striped red-and-white socks, brown boots (about calf length), dark wash jeans, a black belt, a navy blue long sleeved shirt with gold polka dots, and then a cashmere cream turtleneck over that. I also have a grey wool coat.

Oh! What Abi wears when she's in cold weather. Yeah, I find that 90% of the time my outfits have to compensate for the weather. So, shirt over another shirt and a sweatshirt on top of that. Stuff like that.
