You wake up

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

You wake up

You wake up and sluggishly crawl out of bed. Yawning, you pour a cup of hot tea (or coffee, whatever floats your boat). You drain the cup, but when you reach the bottom, you find a surprisingly dry folded piece of paper. It reads:

Dearest CBer,

Greetings! How has your summer been? Good? Wonderful. I'd like to invite you to our all-inclusive summer camp- the Camp of the Arts, or C.O.T.A. We have courses in all different arts, as well as counselors and other staff to help make your camp experience as enjoyable as possible. If you choose to join us, please fill out the enclosed form and return via teakettle. You will be picked up at precisely 7:32 on August 1st. If you would like to bring an AE or CAPTCHA (or both), please just fill out a form for them as well! We hope to see you soon!

Best wishes,

Echo

Camp Director

You watch as the paper splits into two right before your eyes. The second sheet is the form mentioned in the letter.

Alrighty, guys, here's the next part! Thank you so much for your patience (I feel like I say that a lot XD). This part is kind of short, but they'll get longer. So, without further ado...

Day 3, Part 1

The CBers ate their breakfast morosely the next day. Echo tried to lighten things up, but to no avail. Mor’s funeral had been held at noon the day before, as promised, and no one had wanted to do anything else afterwards. A few of them had half-heartedly tried to start a game of volleyball, but no one really wanted to play.

Echo stood up from her table and rapped her glass with her fork- except for the fact that the fork was plastic and therefore made almost no sound. So instead, she settled for slamming her hands down on the tabletop, making everyone else jump.

“Good morning, CBers!” she said with as much enthusiasm as she could muster. “You’ll be pleased to know that the cast list for ‘Sleeping Beauty’ is coming out this morning!” There was no reply. She tried again. “You’ll be… interested to know?” Nothing. “Depressed to know?” Silence. She scratched her head. “Geez, you guys are a tough crowd. Anyway, please report to the theater in an hour! Before that, you can do whatever, as long as you stay within the camp and off the lake. Dismissed!” The CBers stood to go their separate ways, and Echo left for her cabin.

Outside the mess hall, there was a quick discussion about plans for the day. The AEs were going to play a game of volleyball, and Viola? volunteered to go with them to chaperone. Soren and Gracia wanted to go back to the art cabin, so Vyolette went with them. Darkking and Tyberious got into a serious discussion about anatidaephobia, and walked off in the direction of the cabins talking about it. That left Secret, Cassandra, and Clarence standing outside the mess hall, none of them knowing what to do.

“Do you want to head over to the theater early?” Clarence suggested. Secret and Cassandra agreed, so they walked across camp to the theater. No one else was there, but back behind the stage, they found a few cardboard boxes of props and costume pieces, which they dove into excitedly. Secret found a cowboy hat, a feathered boa, and a purple sequined mask, Cassandra found a bunch plastic beaded necklaces, a tiara, and a pair of mirrored sunglasses, and Clarence found a long black robe, a bright pink top hat, and a plastic sword. He brandished this at the other two, who pretended to be terrified.

“Ah ha!” he said, then spun in a circle so his robe whipped around, holding the sword aloft. It glanced off a rope connected to a sandbag as he spun. After that, everything happened in quick succession. The rope snapped, then flew up. For a moment, none of the three CBers registered this.

Then, the giant spotlight came crashing down on top of them.

This is so cool, gah! You keep writing me perfectly. Clarence is suspicious, of course, but a plastic sword wouldn't cut a rope. I think it was someone else.

Not funny, impersonator.

Honestly, I feel bad for you. You think that cyber-bullying is a good thing to do. Well, newsflash- it isn't.
