HAMILTON. EVERYTHING HAMI

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

HAMILTON. EVERYTHING HAMI

HAMILTON. EVERYTHING HAMILTON.

So yes. This is THE thread for all Hamilton-related subjects. Got fanart? Post it. Want to sing lyrics but your family has officially banned you from singing in order to keep their sanity intact? Post it. Want to complain about the historical inaccuracy? Post it.

Please keep arguing kind and at a minimum, or at the very least, one of those two things.

I'll start the conversation if no one wants to:

THE BULLET. LOOK IT UP.

When he was ten his father split, full of it, debt-ridden

Two years later see Alex and his mother bed-ridden half dead

Sitting in their own sick, the scent thick,

And Alex got better but his mother went quick

~~

We might need to skip some parts of the next few lines, since what happened to the cousin is not totally CB-appropriate.

Also, THE BULLET! It's so cool! It's amazing how much more you notice watching it the second time, on video instead of in person. (Not that I've actually seen it on Disney+ yet, since my parents keep saying that it's "really long" and it's always "too late" to watch it...)

Moved in with a cousin, the cousin... erm... just forget about the cousin ok? He wasn’t that important anyway. Pretty much all he did was:

Left him with nothing but ruined pride, something new inside

A voice saying “Alex you gotta fend for yourself”

He started retreating and reading every treatise on the shelf

There would’ve been nothing left to do for someone less astute

He would’ve been dead or destitute without a cent of restitution

he started working

clerking

for his late mother’s landlord

trading sugarcane and *** and all the things he can’t afford

Sir, I heard your name at Princeton. I was seeking an accelerated course of study when I got kind of out of sorts with a buddy of yours. I may have punched him. It's a blur, sir.  He handles the financials?

You punched the bursar.
