SKI LODGE TIME!!!

Okay here goes nothing!

You are in your favorite armchair, reading your favorite book, when an owl smashes into the window. You rush over and open the glass window, only to see a bundle of feathers and a letter. You reach for the letter, and rip it open. It reads.

“Dear CBer,

How would you like a lovely vacation on a cruise ship? Everything is free, and you may bring up to two AEs or CAPTCHAs, or a mix. If you wish to join, pick up a feather and it will transport you to the dock. This will start either when 20 CBers join, or on November 1st. If you wish to attend, please fill out this form for AEs, CBers, and CAPTCHAs.

Inari woke up ve-ery early. Extremely early. As in 3 in the morning. Yes, 3. Three AM. 3 AM. 3 o’clock in the morning. That early. She used that time to cook a little breakfast. And ate it.

When everyone was wide awake and seated firmly in the Grand Hall, Captain Arianna made her appearance.

“Would you CBers, AEs, and CAPTCHA like to play a little game? A scavenger hunt, to be specific?” she asked.

Inari replied, “Why not?”

The others only nodded, showing their agreement.

Captain Arianna clapped her hands, a look of joy coming on her face.

“Okay then! I have hidden various items around the cruise ship. Should be very hard to find, as I, my friends, know every single nook and cranny ‘round these parts.”

She gestured towards a stack of papers beside her.

“Please pick up one of these lists.”

The CBers, AEs, and CAPTCHA all grabbed one list.

“Now, for the rules.” Captain Arianna said, clapping her hands again. “Please do not harm anyone, no cheating, and you will be alone. Please don’t actually yell in people’s faces, remove the items, and whatever you do, don’t go into the blue office on the 12th floor.”

The murderer laughed silently. Did Captain Arianna really expect them to follow the rules? Really?

They suddenly became aware of Captain Arianna announcing the start of the race and walking briskly towards the blue office. The murderer laughed and raced after Moondrop. As they drew near, Moondrop looked over with an ‘Oh!’ of surprise. The murderer caught up with them and said, “C’mon, let’s go in the larger closet. I want to talk to you.” Moondrop nodded and walked inside, followed by the murderer as they shut the door and lit a light.

“Moondrop.”

“Yes?”

“I’m the murderer.”

Moondrop gasped in surprise, then began rattling the door ferociously, to no avail. The murderer had locked the door with about..let’s see here. One hundred twenty-five. Sounds about right. Ok, 125 it is, then.

She finally gave up and turned to the murderer, who had already pulled out a sharp katana (I probably didn’t use that correctly, but ah well.) and was fingering the handle delicately.

“Listen, you delirious monkey-bat.”

Moondrop gave an indignant squeak, but as soon as she saw the knife point at her, she quieted down.

“You’re going down.”

The murderer stabbed the knife, pushing it deeply into Moondrop’s chest. She gave a small sigh, then rolled over and became limp.

The murderer smiled, then wiped off the katana and returned it to its place in the closet. They then stepped out and continued with the hunt.

A Note by Nightfall : I’m very sorry for the wait, hopefully a long part will come over Thanksgiving. Thank you to everyone!

I'm very sorry.

I don't feel like I want to write this anymore, I have tons of more ideas. You all ~ Yes, each and every one of you ~ already have a spot in my next ski lodge.

Again.

I'm so sorry.

My next ski lodge will be by Golden Feathers and Callumi.

Claim your spot by commenting on the post. If it isn't there by the time this is published, check the back pages.

It may not have been topped.

Again.

I.

Am.

So.

Sorry.

It's just that I don't feel like writing a classic ship story, I want something more...exciting, adventurous, taking place in the world I made in the summer, when I was w-a-y less mature.

Again.

I'm so terribly sorry.
