Actors

Actors in Twilight...

This isn't a thread about whether or not you like Twilight, it's about the actors in New Moon and Twilight. (I'm just doing the main actors, but you guys can talk about whichever ones you want.)

So... Here goes.

Rob Pattinson/ Edward Cullen: Pretty good... I think he does a nice job playing Edward.

Kristen Stewart/ Bella Swan: Horrible!! I really really dislike her playing Bella. She just doesn't have the right... umm.... I don't know! The right feel, I guess. Really wish Ashley Greene (Alice) would have gotten the part! She would have played it way better (she originally auditioned for Bella).

Taylor Lautner/ Jacob Black: <3 <3 <3 He wasn't amazing in the first one, but I still really like him, and, from what I've seen (In previews, so far. I'm going to see New Moon this afternoon) he's a lot better in New Moon.

Ashley Greene/ Alice Cullen: She's a great Alice! Still wish she'd gotten Bella! Really like her!

Jackson Rathbone/ Jasper Cullen: Pretty good. He's a nice Jasper, but I think he kinda over-does the "in pain because he wants to eat all the humans" look.

Nikki Reed/ Rosalie Cullen: She's a good Rosalie. I like her.

Kellen Lutz/ Emmet Cullen: Really like him. He's a good Emmet!

Peter Facinelli/ Carlisle Cullen: He's a good Carlisle, but I hate the super-fake blond hair!

Elizabeth Reaser/ Esme Cullen: She does a good job of playing Esme.

That's all, I think..

Well... I don't like Twilight, but I do so love to rant about actors, so...

RPattz: Loved him as Cedric (GoF). I do like the way he tried to portray Ed as this vaguely stalkerish manic depressive guy, because that's who Ed actually is, but... What was up with his hair? Did he not shower *at all* while filming?!

KStew: She is always vacant in everything I've seen her in, so... She fits, I guess.

Taylor Lautner: He and Jamie Campbell Bower make up 50% of my reasoning for wanting to go see NM, to be honest. The other 50% being the snark value.

Ashely Greene: Well, she hit the Cuckoo Cloudlander angle right on the head...

Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Peter Facinelli: All looked horrible with blonde hair. Especially JR and NR (though at least she gets a wig for NM, which at least doesn't make her look like a zombie). And they did the fake!blonde thing again with JCB, although JCB from what I've seen actually pulls it off.

Kellan Lutz: Meh.

Elizabeth Reaser: Again, meh.

#1. Eddie- He's okay. They made his eyes look too... gross in this movie. It looked like he had just woken up and had a bunch of goop in his eyes. :P

#2. Bella- Way too monotone, if you know what I mean. She never really shows any expression at all.

#3. Jacob- Pretty good. My cousin and I almost burst out laughing when he /whips/ off his shirt to soak up Bella's blood. ;)

#4. Alice- Good.

#5. Jasper- Uh... like you said, he over does the crazy "I wanna eat you" look.

#6. Rosalie- Good.

#7. Emmet-  Good. He reminds me of my cousin who thinks he's all buff and tough ;).

#8. Carlisle- Fine, except for the bleached hair.

#9. Esme- She didn't have a big part in NM, but in Twilight she was good.

Re: RPattz's eyes: I thought he looked either a) sleep deprived, b) drunk, or c) like he needed new contacts. It bugged me through the whole movie. And *too much lipstick*

Way too much. Oh, and how 'bout the *shimmershimmershimmer* scenes? I started cracking up at those. Too much sparkle on the sparklepire.

Edward - ugh, I don't see what Bella sees in him. In the books she constantly rants about how "gorgeous" he is (gag) but in the movie he looked like a corpse that hadn't washed for a month. I liked Pattinson much better as Cedric.

Bella/Steward - okay, I suppose. Something about her voice bothers me, but at least she was semi-tan in this movie.

Jacob/Lautner - although I hate the books, I did like Jacob, mostly because he was the only decent character. I think Lautner did a very good job playing him.

Alice/Greene - Alice is pretty much the only one in the books and movies who isn't all "death, monsters, depression, boyfriends", so I like her for that. And Greene does a nice job.

I didn't really pay attention to the rest of the Cullens in New Moon.

She wasn't any tanner than in the first movie; it was just they didn't have the blue filter, so she didn't look diseased and waxy this time around.

The scene in NM of Alice's vision of Bella as a vampire was *so* funny!! My friends and I started laughing so hard! *sarcastic voice* She's running in this beautiful blue dress and Edwards in a vest and khakis and they cross a beam of sunlight and whoooo sparklepire disco ball!!! Then she whips her head to the side, flinging her hair dramatically to the side. There's a close-up on her face and you see her golden eyes. Ooooooh!! *regular voice* Then I thought about how, in the books, they go hunting for the first time and Bella is in a blue dress and Edward is in a white shirt and khakis and that made me worry about the fourth movie... Hope it won't be that... that... hilarious, I guess... *bursts out laughing* :D :D :D :D :D

Every dramatic scene with Bells or Eddie was hilarious. I think the only time I stopped sniggering was when Victoria was onscreen, because I happen to like Victoria thanks very much. At the very least I think she's more sympathetic (and generally awesome) than the main character.

Though, a note; the whole catatonic thing (while an interesting and effective representation), she wore the *same exact clothes* for every "month". Am I to take that to mean she didn't shower/bathe/change clothes for three months? :\ gross. And also had me giggling hysterically with Quinn while the Twifans in the back (and next to us, we were with our cousin who liked the series) kept glaring at us because it's supposed to be sad.

Bottom line: NM was incredibly narmy, and comes highly recommended from me for that reason, and also because of Jamie Campbell Bower's brief appearance, but regardless...

Okay, I haven't read the book or seen the movie, but I have some comments about a coupule of the actors.

Rob Pattison: Why???? He could be a vampire in real life. He's so pale that he's almost white. And he looks like a vampire. It looks like his face is covered in bruises, his hair is awful, etc. Just.....WHY???????

Taylor Lautner: Why are girls so obsessed with him??? What do they see in him? I heard someone from ballet class say that he has thirty lb. of muscle. That is a 25 lb. overstatement! What do they see in him? I mean, come on. I just don't get it. He's not even that cute! He did a good job playing Sharkboy in Sharkboy and Lavagirl, but that's it.

Sorry if I've offended anyone, I didn't mean to.
