Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Guess the quote

Guess the quote time!!!

I don't know if we've had one of these already but I'm making one anyway.

Basically the gist is this: you post a quote and we guess it (duh, that's what this thread is called). The quote can be from anything (movies, plays, books, presidential speeches). I'll start us off with just stuff from the top of my head, and yall guess.

1. "My nemesis... is Captain hammer. Captain Hammer, corporate tool.

2. "Ketchup is GOOD for you! It exfoliates the skin,
so who's the real victim here? YOU ARE!"

3. "that's all very well, but what are we going to do about him"

4." I'm telling you there's an enemy that would like to attack America, Americans again. There just is. That's the reality of the world. And I wish him the very best."

and my very favorite:

5. Of course it is happening inside your head, but why on earth
should that mean that it is not real?

it's a toughie and no one gets it, if worst comes to worst, look it up. It will just be less fun :)

Begin!

#1 is Princess Bride.

And #3 sounds like something from Hex of the Discworld books?

Yes to number one. Three is Hex, you're right. From Hogfather. I like Hex.

Hex is awesome, and I love all the computer puns (which make me feel like a complete geek too, but nevertheless). His (its?) interactions with the wizards always make me feel better about my reasonably minimal computer problems (particularly the disaster with defragging/setting up Boot Camp/installing Windows XP a few months ago...) /digressing

"Deep down I'm bologna?"

"What duck?"

"This all came from my imagination? Maybe I really am crazy!"

"Id, Id, Id!"

"Wind the frog!"

And one that I probably overuse--at least the concept--but I love nonetheless:

"You will not defile this place! It does not belong to you--any more than I do!"

One more, and then I promise I'll quit:

"And besides that, he wrote the directions on an Easter egg, which is really hard to read."

Hoodwinked! I love that movie! ((I want a Granny that carries explosives...))

"It's no concern of mine if your family has-- What was it again?"

"Um. Food."

"Ah ha! But you should have thought of that before you became peasants!"

@TNÖ: Yours is from The Emperor's New Groove! I love that movie! What's the name of the evil lady who said that again?

"Yeah, so it'll last him two months."

#2 "So your great idea is to kill me?"

#3 "Look Grandma! No hands!"

Hannah, your first one is from Mary Poppins, and it's killing me because I can't remember where your fourth one is from.

"Yes. But you're blue."

@Brynne: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory...

1. "Now come inside and we'll play a game of pinochle."  "I don't know how."  "Even better. We'll play for money."

2. In winter the men would fight and fart and sing and sleep and wake and fight again.

3. "Voice!  A voice!  It spoke to me!" Brutha wailed.  Nhumrod breathed out.  Ah.  This was familiar ground.  Voices were right up Nhumrods cloister.  He heard them all the time.
