I don't know if we've had one of these already but I'm making one anyway.
Basically the gist is this: you post a quote and we guess it (duh, that's what this thread is called). The quote can be from anything (movies, plays, books, presidential speeches). I'll start us off with just stuff from the top of my head, and yall guess.
1. "My nemesis... is Captain hammer. Captain Hammer, corporate tool.
2. "Ketchup is GOOD for you! It exfoliates the skin,
so who's the real victim here? YOU ARE!"
3. "that's all very well, but what are we going to do about him"

it's a toughie and no one gets it, if worst comes to worst, look it up. It will just be less fun :)

@TNO You got all the ones you guessed right. Haha. I can't even count to ten anymore! ;) Oh, and yes, Rufus Sewell was great AND he's in another one of my favorite movies, The Illusionist!! Heath Ledger was the best, though, I think, but that could just be because I think he was amazing . . . <3

Hints: 1 and 2 are songs and 3 and 4 are from the same movie.

These two quotes are from the same thing. Even if no one knows them, perhaps they can be appreciated for their hilarity:
1. Recording: "The angels have the phone box."
Person: "That's my favorite line. I put it on a t-shirt."
2. "It's a Timey-Wimey detector. It goes Ding when there's Stuff."

#1 might be, and #2 definitely is from Doctor Who, the episode with the weeping angels... Blink, wasn't it? Sooo creepy.

The angels in general have made me totally paranoid. ...And just a few minutes ago, my friend and I were talking and she mentioned that clearly not everything in the crack is erased, as the TARDIS and the Doctor have both touched it but are still around.
And then she had to mention that the angels are in there too.
And now I can't stop glancing over my shoulder. Stupid angels.
Also, random, but I still can't believe what they did to Rory.

Sorry but... Who's Rory? What crack? And, didn't the angels get frozen, by all staring at each other? Ohhhhhhh wait, is Rory the guy who was flirting with Sally Sparrow?

You haven't watched any of the fifth season, have you?
Rory was the fiancee of the current companion, Amy Pond. He died and then got erased from history.
The crack is what introduces us to Amy Pond. It starts off in her wall, and in the first episode of season five the Doctor fixes it, but then a glowing, slowly expanding light in the same shape as the crack starts showing up at the end of each episode. In I think the... fourth and fifth? episodes, the Doctor ends up at the crash sight of a ship with an angel in it along with a military unit intent on destroying it for obvious reasons. They go into these old catacombs and find out that the angel was on a rescue mission, bringing the ship's huge power source for hundreds of dying angels to feed on. At the end the Doctor tricks them into getting sucked into the crack that's been following he and Amy, and we find out that the crack is the end of the universe and if you fall into it you cease to exist in the past, present, and future.
Yeah.
Seriously, you need to watch season five. Matt Smith is epic.

Okay... I basically skimmed that because I don't want any spoilers. We're just starting to watch the um, fourth season, I think, at home. But maybe it's the third.

Nice quotes, Adina! Of course, along with everyone else, I only knew the fifth one.
Here are some of mine:
1. "i will settle, in the sort term, for a lack of open hosility. You will shake hands. You are on the same side now. Time is short and unless the few of us who know the truth stand united, there is no hope for any of us."
2. "Yes, they're here," and to the other twos' utter astonishment she pulled out a pair of jeans, a sweatshirt, some maroon socks and a cloak.
3. "But before he went loopy, he was the life and soul of the party. He used to down an entire bottle of whisky, then run out onto the dance floor, hoist up his robes and start pulling bunches of flowers out of his."
There are key words in the 2nd and 3rd that would give them away, if you were familiar with them. Good luck and I like this thread!

'S all HP. 1 is Dumbledore at the end of GF (talking to Sirius and Snape). 2 is Hermione in DH (saying that she packed Ron and Harry's clothes). 3 is either Fred, George, or Ron in DH (talking about their Uncle Bilius).
