Is anyone out

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Is anyone out

Is anyone out there writing a book? If you are put a summary here so we can all read it! I'm kinda curious about this because I'm writing one and want to know if anyone else is.

Summary: Annabelle Hart was completely and utterly normal, in the most boring way possible. She hates her life, no matter how perfect it is. But she soon meets a man who makes an offer she can't refuse, and offer that will change her life. She accepts his offer, but is forced to fake her death and leave behind everyone; her family, her friends, her potential boyfriend for the life of the mans perfect weapon. A weapon aimed to kill.

How does that sound?

Don't forget to post summaries of your books!

That gives me an idea, Admins, do you ever write books? If you do, would you mind putting up a summary?

Nooo... not really. It's not as princess-y as all that. At least, I don't think it will be. I'm really terrible at writing summaries. But I'm not sure what kind of books Gail Carson Levine writes. I've only read Ella Enchanted.

Oh goodness, I think that I am, meaning that I just have these different plot ideas bouncing around in my head but no real summary, but here's basically the ideas:

There's this girl, name unknown, who lives in sort of midwestery section of the USA in a place called The Land Between the Lakes. And then I guess she's in charge of this underground place where all the elderly go when the rulers of the Owl City kick them out of their homes because they're too old and "useless", so she takes care of them, and then when an earthquake happens and kills her parents, she has no where to go so she lives underground with the elderlies. Then when Owl City decides to tear down all the homes in The Land Between the Lakes because it appears that no one's living in them, they have to build up their new home somewhere else.

I know, it's terrible, because most of it I just made up right now. Suggestions? Embarassed

OMG! Is this coincidental?
Wair, LBL is in Kentucky.

So anyway, my book takes place at Land Between the Lakes, the actual one. That's what LBL stands for.

@Piper: Wow! That sounds like an awesome story! It's fine if you don't want to post it, but I wish you luck on it! It must be really good! <3

I'm writing a really weird fantasy one... which is not that good, but here goes...

Jessie and her little sister Abby are orphans and taken in by their extremely normal aunt and snooty cousin Leanne. Jessie thinks her life can't get any worse, until she discovers there's a magical world right behind her house, which needs help. Along with her sister, a very annoying elf/pixie, and a boy she meets at school, Eric, they have to conquer an evil sorcerer, Tolad, from taking over not only the world behind their house but the world itself.

@Blackberry E:

Thanks for your luck! I've completed an average of 150 pages (sorry, it's not typed in so I can't give the word count) and maybe two-thirds in. I only have to finish the Survival Challenge and then I'm done. But...It's part of a trilogy so I've got two more books to go. (not to mention my next trilogy and my other two I have planned.) Wink

I'm writing a book, but I don't have a summary yet.

The ship rocked back and forth on the waves and the sails
snapped in the wind. Helena stood on the deck of the Hippocampus.  There was a storm coming, and the wind
whipped her long, straight black hair into swirls around her face. Along with
her jet black hair, Helena, who was thirteen and a half, had piercing storm
grey eyes, fair skin, and a tall willowy figure. One of the sailors yelled to
her that she should go below deck before the storm hit. She ignored him, and
stayed where she was. “I’m not going anywhere,” she thought, “and miss all the
excitement?” Every year, her father made a trip to Egypt, where he traded with
the people there, and brought cargo back home to Greece. It had taken forever to
convince her mother and father to let her go with him on this year’s trip to
Egypt. Finally, after tons of convincing, her parents had agreed to let her go.
The storm was getting closer, and she decided that now she probably should go below
deck.  Just then, the ship started
rocking violently, and the rain began.  A
huge peel of thunder boomed.  Helena lost
her balance and fell on to the deck.  She
stayed there, in case the waves made her fall again.  There was another long peel of thunder,
louder than before.  Helena started to
crawl across the deck to the stairs that led below, but then she heard a voice,
as if the thunder was speaking. She froze, and turned around.  The voice spoke again; this time she heard
what it was saying.

I haven't decided what it says yet.

( I'm not really sure why the letters keep getting bigger)

@Tiffany W: Yeah, it is in Kentucky; while I was there during Spring Break we were passing it and my mom said "Oh, doesn't that sound like it should be in a fantasy book?" And so I just grabbed some papar and wrote it down.

@~Sam~

There's a short summary of it on the Author of Every Other Day thread.  I don't want to get too specific, because I might publish it one day, and if I publish it under my real name, you might figure it out, so...

My book is awesome I think. It's called 2012~1692.Summery up next!

Once long ago there was a big war

and two wizards ran away from it and stole a mirror that can make two people switch places(like Alice In Wonderland). The witch that once owned the mirror had a small battle with the wizards. The wizards lost but, they turned themselves into two trees gaurding the mirror.

A girl named Nikki lives in 2012.In her life, she has a mom, a dad, a baby sister and an older brother.Nikki is 12.One day her brother locks her up in his closet and a note written in blood comes to her. Also somebody breacks into her house. She has a dream where a girl who look likes her but from 1692 calls her name.Nikki has red hair.

A girl named Victoria lives in 1692. She has a mom, dad, baby sister, and a older brother.I haven't gotten that far with her but her story is like Nikki's.

One day,The girls find the mirror and switch places. When Victoria is in 2012 IDK what happens(I haven't gotten far). But when Nikki is in 1692,The salem witch trials happen and she is accused of witchcraft by her brother.

At the end the wizards and the two girls fight the witch. This story is told by Nikki's and Victoria's point of veiw

Does it sound good?Undecided

Here's a summery of my book. It's not a very good summery:(

Helena sails to Egypt with her father from Greece. On the way there, she recives a mysterious message, telling her of someone she will meet, and about a quest that they must complete. When she arrives in Egypt, she meets a girl her same age, who has recived the same message. She realizes that this must be the person the  message spoke of. They discover that someone is planning a plot on the royal family's lives, and then, to take over the world. Together, they must save the royal family and the world from terrible evil, but can they?

Okay, so this is my summary, I think it is totally terrible, and that I am a terrible writer, but my friends are crazy for my stories. so, here's a preview!

In a farway a place, a Ferriet, at 12, is all alone. Except for her family of 10 younger brothers, and 5 younger sisters, plus her parents. It was a fine life, untill, during hide-n-seek game, she is stolen, without defense, and taken away from her ordinary life. Over the years, her captors steal other children, and train them to be soldiers. Soon, to show their loyalty, they kill their family. Ferriet, soon after leaving her lifeless house behind, bumped into a older boy, who she soon falls in love with. But, her masters don't allow such things. In this story, you will learn the tragdy of love and the hope through dark times.

I think it is really lame, but, I always say that about things that I make.

Please reply, and let me know what you think! (It's okay to reply saying that it is really lame, and some changes I can makeWink)
