Okay, so I'm leaving tomorrow and I don't know if I'll have access to a keyboard. Early tomorrow morning I'll try to create a backlog on this thread to cover my absence. By the way, I've found the best way to copy and paste into the chatterbox is to copy the thing into the google search box, then copy it from the google search box to the body section in "create new comment."

I think we should increase suspicion on Rose bud throughout the next week by having her near crime scenes and other suspicious stuff. Then she'll walk in on a murder in the middle of the night (thunderstorms, yay!) and get eliminated, and all the theorist's minds will be blown. What do you think?

update: we're bringing the laptop on vacation. I'll be able to write my days as normal. Thanks!

That's great! I keep feeling utterly uninspired, but this helps. I think we could also implicate Aspen and Spyro, one day each, then kill them off. Do you want Viola? to become the main suspect apart from Rose Bud? It might be easier if we just have one or two, with only a few hints dropped toward the others.

Possible hit list (in order): Sam, Aspen, Spyro, Shy Peacock, MJ, Fireburst, Celeste, Rose Bud, KTG, Pooki P, Viola?. ...That was a long one.

Murder methods (not in order): Stabbing, choking (on an object, alternatively throttling), snake in the bed, oven, something dropped from a second-story window, possibly-spiked pit trap.

Ooh, when Spyro dies, someone should take his teeth to use as weapons later on. Spearhead, pit spikes, possibly soldiers. Ever hear about dragon teeth being planted in the ground to grow an army? You're supposed to throw a rock in the middle of them to make them fight each other and not you. Usually.

Wineberries are ripe outside, and there are so many fireflies. Fireflies are seriously magical looking. We have to mention them when the thunderstorms wrap up, which can be tomorrow or five days after. Thunderstorms are often short irl, but this is our realm, and it must follow our narrative law. *ruling with an iron fist*

How should we do our reveal? I was thinking of just posting our last parts under our usual names, but that might be a little subtle.

Ooh, I have an idea for the ending:

Remember when we were RPing on the old ski lodge thread and I made a joke about how most ski lodges are actually holograms? Maybe on the last day Cockleburr is revealed and then I pull a big lever to turn off the hologram generator. "Oh, yeah, Ski lodges are all holograms." Whoever saw us on the old thread will get the joke, and everyone who didn't will still be like "Oh, that's weird, hahaha". Maybe we could throw in a refrence about chickens too! Back to origins and stuff:

And then, once I turn off the generator, everyone can recognize me, because I'm imagining myself as just in disguise the entire time, but then you just... merge into one? That sounds creepy. Maybe Summer would vanish if Summer is actually a part of the hologram and then you'd walk into the de-hologramed room and reveal yourself as the other writer? Hmm. Those aren't really good ideas.

Also, when you write today, could you put in a small mention of a yurei brand remote controller being found in Rose bud's room? If you don't see this in time, I can put it in day 18.

And if you don't know what a yurei is... well, it's terrifying.

I'll be dead as a guest by then, but if we, like... drag all the corpses into the room with Burr, have a short discussion with her and then you throw the switch at a dramatic moment and suddenly everyone is alive and Burr is sane again, I'll merge into one. And then I'll probably shout, "It was meeee! Jwyn, you were right, how did you know?"

Yurei are quite terrifying and I do wish I had not done an image search.

HAB suspects Burr! Quick, we have to give her some presence! And maybe drop the subtlest of hints. It's really hard to do that...

Unfortunately I'm going to need to write my part tomorrow morning. I'm really sorry about that.

I am seriously running out of ideas, so I came up with a bit of a schedule thing:

Day 20: Three of the people go on a hike and get lost in the woods. POVs switch between the searching group and the searched group, and Pooki P (a missing) dies in an remotely activated trap in the woods. There are five people left.

Day 21: The search continues. There are several close calls for people falling for remotely activated traps, but no one dies until the storms begin to return and a searcher, Celeste,  is struck by lighting. The two missing find an abandoned shed and spend the night there. There are four people left.

Day 22: The storms subside for the morning, and the two remaining missing find a path next to the shed that they didn't notice in the dark. They follow it back to the ryokan, and the rest of the day passes. Rose bud hears a sound late at night and goes downstairs to find Viola? dead next to Cockleburr in the front room. Cockleburr shoots Rose bud with an arrow. There are two people left: Allie and Cockleburr.

On the last day the last unexplored corridor where KtG was killed should be explored, revealing the true secret room and my hollow book with two pens. Otherwise, the ending is totally up to you, and if you have any other ideas, suggestions, or objections, please let me know. I don't want to take over the collaboration. Laughing

Don't worry, I've been late, too.

Hey, I was just about to post the same order of deaths...! Great minds think alike?

It actually saves me a lot of procrastination. I'm running out of ideas, too, and that makes me put it off, so really this is incredibly helpful, and coincidentally better than anything I could think of. You might be taking over, but I'm starting to waver, and if I was alone on this I wouldn't pull it together for another full month. So thank you. Now, how to make a lightning strike a murder...

I have a bit of a plan of my own for the last day; a slow realization, then a dramatic chase, something involving a hatchet or a labrys, and finally the big reveal. For that I was thinking Burr is still panting over Allie's body when you sashay in and I glide darkly after, six dragons behind me with all the remains, and we three have a conversation that ends with you doing something that breaks the illusion over everything. Then we reveal our identities, I throw confetti and a chicken, Cockleburr is crowned the Summer Queen, and everyone who was suspicious of her and/or figured out who we were gets a little prize. We party for a couple of days and leave whenever. Does that sound good?

Sorry I wasn't able to cover the lost ones' side of things. I write everything in first person, and Summer wasn't around for what they did.

No prob, the flashback thing worked out. :)

If the true secret room is discovered, it would probably be behind the thing that severed KtG (I don't remember what it's called.)

And here's a close-up. Summer is on a business call and Sukāretto is tactfully greeting the dragons. Innocent
