We do some push-ups and pull-ups and things, then our gym teacher, a short, fit woman with graying hair pulled back in a messy ponytail, orders us to run twenty laps. Riana and I start running. We run five laps, then Riana stops in front of the gym teacher and says in a sweet voice, "Excuse me, I have a sore throat and I'm really thirsty. Do you think I could get some water?" The gym teacher nods and she heads off to drink some water. I keep on running for the next five laps, then slow to a jog. Riana comes back two laps later and we start running again. We're almost done with the last of the twenty laps when the bell rings. Riana and I head to the bathrooms, where we change again. Riana produces a small pink comb from her gym bag and combs the nonexistent tangles out of her hair, washes her face, and changes. I change and wait for Riana, then we both put our gym stuff away and head to the cafeteria.
The cafeteria:
I get in line for my lunch with Riana. One of the girls from the Girly Girl Unpopular leans over and whispers in my ear, "Katie's a pyscho."

Nora the SingerParticipant.:Brielle:.
I grit my teeth, shooting daggers at Dr. Foreman. "Are you going to tell me where my dad is or not?"
"I'm sorry, Brielle," Dr. Foreman murmurs, "but I can't say. He told me to keep it a secret. For now, at least."
I exhale with relief. Dad does this all the time. "A surprise or whatever?"
"Something like that," he replies with a wink. I cringe. Who actually winks anymore?
Dr. Foreman helps me up back into the cot, and I request for my purse, which is hidden amongst my book bag and clothes in a heap near the chair. Hey, I might have left my phone at home, but a girl should always have a back-up. Back-up phone, I mean. Literally.
Despite the "no phones" rule at school, I know Rianna always brings hers anyway, so I shoot her a quick text.
BRIELLE: Hey it's me. I'm in the emergency room.
RIANNA: omgg. r u ok?!??!?! We were sooo worried.
BRIELLE: ikr. Tell the squad I say xoxo.
RIANNA: will do

PE. Running laps. Usually good at it. Distracted. Katie's moving. Can't think of anything else. Can't even make a full sentence!!! My best friend. Is moving. To HAWAII!!!! I can't live!!!!! I get choked up. All the time. Today. Coach yells at me. I ask to go to the bathroom. I run to the bathroom, splash water on my face, and cry. And cry. And cry more. Breathe in, breathe out. Have a pep talk with myself: Katie's moving, but I need to get used to it. We'll still text and e-mail and facetime and write letters. And maybe I can visit her in the summer. I can't let Katie see I'm this sad about it, because that will make her feel worse about moving. And I can't let this take over my life. I sigh and choke back tears. Rianna comes in the bathroom and glares at me. "What are you doing here, you miserable wretch?!?" She puts her arm up to hit me, but I grab her arm. "Rianna," I say, "I don't know exactly what happened with you and Katie, and I think the drawing Erin made of Briella was wrong. It's a serious thing to get a concussion. But I also believe the way you have reacted to these episodes is not very mature, and I would like to ask you to please stop being so violent and mean to people. If you go away and spread a rumor or say nasty things about us to your friends, keep in mind that you're just proving my point." Rianna stares daggers at me as I let go of her arm. "You-You! AHH!" She stomps off out of the bathroom. I'm a little nervous; she probably is going to start spreading rumors about me, but I'm glad I stood up to her. I inhale and exhale, and go back to the gym.
GIGI
I just HATE running laps soo much. Why was gym ever invented? it messes up my hair! And you get all sweaty. Plus the gym uniform is horrible and ugly and… horribly ugly! I'm soo glad to get that done and over with. This morning, a new post was on the bulletin board for the middle school prom. It's on a different day than Katie's grandfather's party is, which is good. Kati'e grandpa's party is said to be so much fun! I even have a hot pink, flouncy party dress I picked out! But I don't know if Brielle will let us go now that Katie did what she did, revealing what a horrible psycho she is.
ANDY
I have no idea how I'll get the nerve to ask Brielle out to the prom! What if she says no? On the bright side, we ran laps today in gym. I'm REALLY good at long distance running, and I think it's fun, too.

School drama rpNora it looks like the admins edited part of your text messages to make it grammaticly correct. Lol! I love love love <3 this rp especially the Willow and Booksy characters. You barely even started and this thread already has over 100 comments……….. Wow that's a lot. And your all super good writers! I wish I was that good. Keep it up guys 😀
-
KatydidParticipantI'm really not the best writer, but im working on it!!!!
And I came up with this system to help keep everything organized.
So, you post the day or whatever, Day1 quarter2 for example.
And then you would post the general time. Here they are!!!
Before school
1st hour (Home room)
2nd hour
3rd hour, etc….
Bus
After school
After dinner
That's about it. And when you are in passing time put: To 4th hour.
Example:
Day5 Quarter3; Bus.
Does that work? And I'm on my Ipod, so sorry if everything is wacko.
Admins, could you try and post the things in the same time area next to each other? So instead of moving on, then ending up going back we could have it kinda organized? Sorry if this is too much, you don't have to.
We post all comments in the order they come in, and we have no control over the place they go. I think they appear after whatever comment they are replying to.

Turning the statement about Katie's mentality over in my mind, I move forward in the line and grab a plate. Riana, behind me, grumbles at everyone to move faster. The line noticably speeds up and I have the napkin and fork in no time at all. I examine the options for the salad and then serve myself some lettuce, cucumbers, croutons, and tomatoes. I squeeze some salad dressing on, then move on to the main dish section. Today the main dish is spagetti and meatballs. I grab some meatballs and pasta, keep moving. I grab a chocolate chip cookie and move up to the counter. "Twelve ninety-nine," the lunch lady tells me. I hand her three dollar bill and two fives. When Riana's paid, too, we sit down with Gigi, who already got her lunch. There's a beeping sound and Riana pulls out a phone. Turning slightly so as to shield her phone from view, she starts texting. I raise one eyebrow slightly. Phones aren't allowed at school, but I turn away and start talking with Gigi.
"Would you rather have a cat or a dog?" I ask her. "See, my birthday's coming up soon, in a month or something, and earlier my parents said I could get a pet for my birthday."
"OMG! You should so tots get a dog. Maybe a chiwawa?"
"Yeah, chiwawas are good," Riana pipes in, still texting. "Maybe you should get a Persian cat?"
"I really like shelties and border collies and dogs like that. Maybe one of those?"
Gigi shrugs, then starts telling me some gossip she heard about Ms. Congo.
After lunch is Art. Gigi doesn't have Art, and neither does Riana, so I say goodbye and grab the notepad, art pencils and special eraser my dad got me for Art.
I sit down near the front of the room. Katie comes rushing in, late. The only spot left is next to me. She sits down kind of gingerly, not really looking at me. I bite my lip and look down.
The teacher, Ms. Deli, a slim woman in skinny jeans and a simple white t-shirt, comes up to the front and starts telling us about shading. I try and pay attention but I keep glancing at Katie and seeing her glance at me. Then she gives us an assignment: draw a cube and shade it.
-
KatydidParticipantI have NO IDEA where we are. Should we all just get home and go to bed? Katie and Johnson, along with Willow, are already in bed. Sooo…can everyone else catch up and we can get to the next day of school? And, are we going to describe in detail each day or maybe skip some days now and then?

The school day went pretty fine after that. When our lunch was over I went to Art class, did the assignment… Draw a cube and shade it.
Wasn't to good at it, I was always sneaking glances at Katie and Kat. After art was done, I went to PE and did the laps. I am so bad at running. I seriously need some exersise.
School, finally over.
"Vi, Booksy, wanna meet after school? We should talk about the Katie Concussion." That's what it's called now. Pretty weird.
"Sure," Vi replies.
"Yeah!" Booksy smiles.

Nora the SingerParticipant.:Brielle:.
It's been a long day. After hours of dozing off multiple times in a row and begrudingly accepting the juice Dr. Foreman forces me to drink in between, my dad still isn't back from wherever he is. I yawn and roll over on the cot, rubbing sleep out of my eyes as I slap the surface of the sheets, feeling around for my phone. It displays the time when I click the power button: 3:12 pm. School will be dismissed in just a few minutes.
"You've got mail, Brielle," a nurse announces as she moves from room to room, pausing to hand me a very large, very lumpy yellow package and leaving just as quickly as she came. I carefully open the top and empty the contents next to me on the cot, sitting crosslegged. The sunset-tinted high-low flowy rayon dress I'd had my eye on for months, courtesy of Riana. An amazing-quality deluxe nail polish and accessorizing set, thanks to Gigi. And Kat's famous croissants, a.k.a. heaven in a plastic box. I rip the container open, tearing a thick, fluffy section off of one and popping it in my mouth. Deliciousness.
My phone beeps, startling me.
RIANNA: do u like ur presents? 😉
BRIELLE: yess. thx girls
RIANNA: no prob. kat and gigi say hi. kat is very excited about her croissants.
BRIELLE: tell her she is a culinary genius.
RIANNA: she is, isnt she
BRIELLE: and howd u know ive been wanting that dress??
RIANNA: bri. sweetie. im ur bff. therefore i am obligated to know everything and anything about u, whether or not u know it urself
BRIELLE: aw
RIANNA: gigi wants to know if u like her present too
BRIELLE: ofc. thanks g
RIANNA: she says ur welcome. and just so u know that kit was really expensive, so u better be grateful
BRIELLE: sassy much?
RIANNA: its my specialty
BRIELLE: cant argue with that logic
RIANNA: ughhh gtg again. but ill video chat u when i get home

IndigoParticipantI'm going to fast forward Kat through to after school.
~Kat~
My mom picks me up in her SUV and quickly drives me to her work.
"There's some cookies in the staff room, darling," she says, glancing at her watch. "I have to fly, there's a meeting in five minutes." I nod and sit down at the space in her office she set up for me. I open up my backpack and pull out Summer and Bird. I look at it for a minute, then put it away again and pull out the drawing pad and other drawing supplies I have for Art instead. I draw a bouquet of flowers, then write in swirling handwriting around the flowers, "GET WELL SOON". I look at it for a minute then decide it needs color. I glance around the office but my mom doesn't have any colored pencils, so I carefully put it away, resolving to color it later.
I breeze through the easy math worksheet and read the chapter for science, then answer the questions in my journal. The only other piece of my homework is typing up that essay for Language Arts but I can do that at home. I go grab a cookie from the staff room and read Summer and Bird for a while. My mom comes in when I'm at page 89. I pack up my things and we head home.
Once home, I pull out the journal I keep full of my recipes and start making some crossiants for Bri. I set the timer and grab my colored pencils. Sitting down at the counter, I color the bouquet of flowers. The timer rings just as my sister opens the door, her bike helmet still on. "Sorry I'm late, Mom, but I had detention."
"DETENTION?" My mom gasps. She grabs my sister by the shoulders and steers her into the den. Even from the kitchen, I can the raised voices.

KatydidParticipantKatie~
I look at the clock, its only eight, so i get out of bed and plop down at my desk. I open my drawer. Inside it there is piles of drawing things. A few containers of different brands of pens, lots of markers, colored pencils, and rulers and such. I close it, wrong drawer, and open the one below it. Inside it there is lots of paints and paintbrushes. I pull out a couple painbrushes and all my paints. I grab a peice of painting paper off the shelf that sits above my head. I sit it down, and begin painting.
Stroke, stroke, stroke. I paint, the brush just seeming to have a mind of its own. Brush, brush, brush.
I yawn and sit back, setting the paintbrush in a cup of water. The picture is quite beautiful i have to say. It is a picture of a tree. A large tree, and it looks like you are looking up from under its canopy. Behind the canopy, are the stars. I drew it very detailed, like my ceiling. The tree is colorless and all you really see is a dark shape blotting out the stars. I give a small smile. I think this will be my painting i turn in. So this year, certain people who win certain competitions, like painting, drawing, dancing, football, soccer, ect… get to go to Washington. I set the painting aside and put all my stuff away. Then i get out my pens and markers.
I grab a peice of paper and on the top write, 'Dear Brielle,' in bubbly letters. I fill them in with a pale pink. Then i write in very swirly fancy letters, 'I'm am so very sorry for landing you in the hospital. I did kick the door, but i had no idea you where behind it. I am truly sorry and hope you recovery is bearable, and a speedy one.' I finish writing, then zentangle all around it. I color it in, put my stuff away, and hop in bed. I'd ask Rianna, no Kat, to give it to her tommorow.

I wake up this morning to the sound of a squealing younger sister. And I groan. "What are you doing in my room?!?" Hilary is still squealing and she's jumping up and down. "Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh GLORIA!!! I JUST GOT INVITED TO A SLEEPOVER WITH THE MOST POPULAR GIRL IN FIFTH GRADE!!!! What do I do?!?!" My younger sister's in fourth grade, and she goes to the elementary school. I know who she's talking about: Maddie Harper. The most pop girl in fifth grade, but whenever she gets near me, Kat, Rianna, or Bri, she starts shaking in her boots. She's no threat to us. She 's the fifth grade kind of popular, not the middle school kind of popular. But I guess it's something to say you got invited to a sleepover with the most popular girl in elemantary, so I decide I'll help my sister out. Normally, I hate having anything to do with her, but this might actually be fun. "OK. First of all, your name can't be Hilary. You have to come up with a cute nickname. Hilary sounds bad and unpopular, just like Gloria. But Gigi doesn't! And Madison doesn't sound popular either, that's why she's called Maddie. So you will be called…hmm…Ri-Ri, I guess. Your name's super bad for nicknames." I then pick out her outfits, style her hair perfectly, get her caught up on who to like and who to hate, tell her the latest gossip, and then send her with a nail-polish kit for the party. I also help her pack her bag. Seriously, she was going to bring a teddy bear. A teddy bear! My sister needs serious help. Then it's my turn to get ready for the day. I comb my hair, curl it, do my nails, pick out my outfit (A cute, white top with ruffles and red hearts on it, light pink skinny jeans, but not too light, pink sparkly crocs, three oversized dangle bracelets, two pink and one gold, a light pink barette to hold my bangs back, and a heart locket.) I quickly do my nails, pack my books, and rush out the door, running to the bus. When I get there, I sit next to Kat, obviously. The rest of the day is SO BORING… until brunch. Rianna is telling us all about the latest boy band news, when Katie walks up to us. We grow quiet the moment she comes up. Shaking, she mumbles, "I wrote this letter for Brianna… Can you please give it to her? Um… thanks." She hands the letter to Kat and runs back to her seat. Rianna grabs it out of Kat's hands and reads it. "Why, that dirty little rat! Trying to play the perfect little angel!" She gets up and stomps off. Kat reads the letter and looks up. "Well, I guess she isn't as bad as we thought she was…"
WILLOW
Brunch. I grab a blueberry yogurt, a mackinsotsh apple, and warm milk. Katie sits, or slouches, down next to me. "What's wrong?" I ask. She looks up, startled. "Nothing." She says. "We can tell when something's bothering you, and right now something's bothering you." Paige says. Erin adds "You can tell us-we're youre friends." "I wrote a letter for Brielle, telling her it was an accident and I hoped she would get better soon, but I don't want to give it to Kat. There's so many bad things that could happen…" Katie admits. "I think that's really nice of you. You made the right choice, and if anything bad happens, we'll be there for you," I say. Katie forces a smile, and walks over to Kat's table…

IndigoParticipant~Kat~
I pack up the croissants. Riana picks them up in a few minutes, saying she'll put all the stuff together and send it to Bri. Five or six minutes after I left I realize I forgot the drawing of the bouquet and decide to send it in the mail later.
My mom, red-faced, walks out of the den. Ema trails behind her, her helmet dangling limply. Mom takes a loaf of crusty bread and starts chopping it up. I ask her, tentativly, "Can I help you?" She nods. "Get the butter and the herbs and start making the garlic spread. I nod and get to work. We work for several minutes in silence, then she has me put the garlic spread on the pieces of bread and put them in the oven. She sets the timer and gets out the lasana. My mom perfers to make her own lasagana, but now a days, what with Dad gone, she doesn't have the time and just cooks pre-made lasagana. She sticks it in the oven with the loaves of bread and sets a second timer. I grab the rough draft of my essay and start typing it up. I'm almost done when my mom has me set the table. I speed through setting the table and print out my essay. I tuck it away and then sit down to eat. My mom prays over the food, then we start eatting.
At first all that can be heard is us chewing, but then Ema asks me, "What do you want for your birthday?" I look up from my food. "I want a border collie." Ema laughs. "Only Mom could get you that. What do you want that I could get you?"
I think for a minute. "I dunno. . . maybe some clothes?"
"What kind of clothes?" Ema asks.
"Um . . . well, winter is coming up soon, so maybe some coats and jeans and things? Maybe some boots?" I say, uncertainly. "I guess some jewelrey would be good, too."
She nods. "You're birthday's in 15 days, right? On . . . November 18th, right?"
"Yup," I reply.
-
KatydidParticipantKatie~
I give Kat the card, but am more than terrified when Rianna takes it from her. I turn back to my table and slowly walk back. I sit down next to Willow and sigh. "What's up?" She asks. I give her a look right in the eye, which I almost never do to anyone. "Oh, yeah," she mutters, now she sighs.
"What is up with you two?" Paige asks.
"You have to wait until the sleepover," I say.
"Come on," Erin complains, "we're your friends too,"
"Exactly." I say.

Nora the SingerParticipant.:Brielle:.
It's now Friday, four days after I was sent to the hospital. I'm still here. And my dad still isn't.
I order an egg white omelette with spinach and baby tomatoes for breakfast. I'm almost finished eating when my phone rings, indicating an incoming call. I plink my fork down and grab the phone, still chewing.
"Hello?"
"Bri!" Rianna's voice is distant, but I can still hear her clearly. "It's us!"
"Who's us?"
"Me, Gigi, Kat, and your dad! You're on speakerphone."
"Hiiiii!" Gigi yells.
"We're in your limo!" Kat adds.
"Um, why?"
"I picked your friends up from school this morning," Dad calls. "I said it was an emergency, so they let me take them."
"It is an emergency! She has a concussion!" Gigi contradicts. The rustling noise of the phone being fought over muffles the voices.
"Hang on! I just need it really quick!" Kat pleads. "Hey, Bri? Okay, so Katie gave me this car – "
"No!" Rianna squeals with laughter in the background. "Not yet! Tell her when we get there! I want to see the look on her face."
"Good point. Never mind, forget I said that."
"Excuse me?" I demand, not having the slightest idea what's going on. "Did you just say that Katie gave you a car?"
"NO!" everyone shouts, and I hold the phone away from my ear with a grimace. "We'll tell you later. You'll see."
"Well, then." I crinkle my eyebrows. "Wait, so why exactly aren't you guys at school?"
"Thought we'd get the sleepover started a bit earlier," Dad explains. "Dr. Forefinger said you could go home today."
"Foreman," I correct him. "And when are you picking me up?"
"We're on our way!"

"I don't think that's the only thing that's bothering her," I whisper to Paige and Willow. "Just delivering a 'sorry' letter isn't too hard. Even if it's for Brielle."
"Yeah," Paige agrees. Willow kind of blushes and stares into her lunch."Willow? What's up?" I ask.
"Nothing," she replies, a little too quickly. "Nothing at all…."
~~~~~After school~~~~~~~~~~"I'm home, mom," I call. Something crashes from inside the kitchen, and various curses can be heard.
"Please, next time knock!"
"….But it's my house. I don't need to knock."
"When I'm washing the special dishesthat were great-grandma's over a tile floor, you don't startle me by shouting 'I'm home!'""So-ry," I grumble. "I definitely knew that."
I walk to my room and begin to do my homework. After I'm done, I pick up my sketchbook and start sketching a forest scene.
KatydidParticipantAfter school~~~~
Katie~
Swim practice is over and mom and dad pick me up. They already picked Johnston up from soccer. "We are going to Gramps's tonight." Dad says.
"Why?" Johnston asks.
"It's a suprise," mom says.
We pull into Gramps's driveway after a half hour drive. I hop out and hug Grandpa, who is in his rocking chair. Then I notice to new buildings on the edge of the forest. "What are those?"
"The suprise," Gramps announces with a smile. "Would you rather wait till after dinner?"
I shake my head and smile, "Of course not!!!"
We walk over to the cabins. "This one is for you."
My jaw drops, "My own cabin? Can I go in?" Gramps nods and I step onto the small porch and open the door. What is inside almost brings me to tears. There is a loft, a large one, with railing and from what I can see lots of shelves. Attached to the underside of the lost is a sitting hammock. Then there is a really cool desk. In the corner next to the door is a yellow beanbag next to a small table. There is a heater and it is warm as heck. "Oh. My. Gandalf!!!!" I squeal. I turn around and hug Gramps, then rush into Johnston's cabin and hug Mom and Dad. "Thank you!!"
"What is your favorite part?" Mom asks.
"The untextured Sheetrock, I can paint on it!!!"
-
KatydidParticipantJohnston~
I am speechless. My cabin looks like my sister's, except for the decor. Under the lost is a blue hammock seat. Next to it is my desk with my computer. There is a pool table! There is a small couch facing the wall. Against that wall is a tv and all my gaming consuls. Up in the loft there are tons of shelves. I smile, mom and dads going away present no doubt. "Well. We will leave you two to bond with your new rooms," Mom says. Katie goes to her room and I sit down in the hammock. I pull out my phone and text Christoff and Jason.
Can u guys spend the night this weekend?
Don't you know?
What?
Our moms already planned it
Oh that's great. I have a suprise!!
What is it?
U have to wait and c.Aww
Cya guys!!!
We ride the bus together back, but can't think of anything. And it's Friday, so we can't see each other until Monday… I suppose we could email…
"Well, it's my stop," Mellie says. "Hey– you guys should come over! We could have a sleepover! It'll be fun!"
"A sleepover?" I ask. I've never been to one, but I guess it would be a new experience… "Okay. Just the three of us?"
"Yeah!" Mellie nods.
"Sure… I guess," Booksy agrees.
"My house. I'll email you the details when I get home."
"Mellie!" the bus driver calls. She runs off with a hurried "Bye!"
When I get home, I immediately go on the computer. Sure enough, there's a message from Mellie.
Works for me.
"Hey mom!" I yell before I hit send. "My friend invited me to a sleepover, can I go?"
"When?" Mom walks into the room. "Saturday at 5. 7859 Almond Creek Ave… Sure. I can drive you over. I'm glad you're getting out more. I'll pick you up at 10 on Sunday."
I add Mom says yes. See you then! and hit send.
Then I get a new email.
FROM: Mellie
TO: Monarch Butterfly
Oh! Yeah! I just found out we're going to Katie's grandpa's house! They're going to give us all cabins!
I'm about to send back a NO WAY but Mom intervenes.
"Oh, Viola! You should go!" she says. I sigh. Can't argue with mom.
I send back:
Okay. Mom says I should… I'm going to go pack.
***********************
I have everything… I think.
My navy pajamas with the periodic table on them, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, bobby pins, pillow, iPad, charger, spare set of clothes, glasses case with cleaning supplies, notebook, mechanical pencils, spare lead.
I should take her.
No.
But… I just need my toy cat, Monarch, that I sleep with. Oh fine. I'll take her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I sit down in the front seat of the car with my backpack. I really cannot shake the feeling that I'm headed to my doom. Quit being dramatic, Viola, you aren't one of those overreacting makeup-slathered idiots, I tell myself. Mom gets in the car. "I've left Lucy with your dad," she says. We drive out of the garage and to the house.
****************
I guess I fell asleep, because next thing I know, we're pulling in near the ranch Katie's grandparents live on. "Viola, look! Your friends are already here!" Mom says. Yeah, there's Mellie. But… Erin? What's she doing here? I guess she got invited too. Huh. I step out of the car. "Bye, Mom!"
"Bye, Viola. See you tommorow!" Mom drives off. Too late to back out now. Mellie runs over. "Vi!" she calls. "Hi Mellie!" I call back, running toward her. "Booksy isn't here yet," she tells me. "Katie says that Johnston, Willow and Paige got invited, too."
"The art club?" I ask. "They're fairly decent. Still, we seem to universally be thought of as nerds, so let's be careful."
Then two more cars drive up. Booksy runs over to us, and Paige and Willow to Erin. After we greet her, we walk onto the porch.
Before we can knock, Katie's grandpa opens the door. "You must be the smart ones Katie's told me about!" he says. He's got a friendly voice. "Let me show you to your cabins." He leads us out back, where there are a row of small cabins about five feet apart. "I thought you would like to sleep in your own cabins," he says. "By all means invite your friends to yours, party in them, whatever you like!" He shows Mellie and Booksy to their cabins, Booksy's right next door to mine and Mellie's next door to hers. "You can come into the house whenever."
My cabin is small and cozy. There's a bed with a purple bedspread with monarch butterflies, a small bookshelf, and a writing desk complete with chair. It reminds me of a hotel room. I unpack and plug in my iPad to charge.

KatydidParticipantKatie~
All we girls sit in the loft of my much larger cabin. "Yeah, when Grandpa gets bored he makes cabins. And furnishes them. Yours aren't heated, but you can sleep in mine if you like."
The girls ponder this for a moment, "Maybe."
"Okay, Emma, Viola, Mellie, I suppose you are wondering why I've invited you." They nod and i continue, "I would like to propose truce between the artsy girls and the smart girls. And Erin."
"We need to talk about it," Viola says. She, Mellie, and Emma leave the cabin to talk.
"Guys… I know this is great and all and I hate to spoil the evening….but.. I have bad news."
"What?" Paige and Erin ask at the same time.
I take a deep breath. "I'm moving to Hawaii at the end of the year." It is followed by silence, then they start asking questions.
Johnston~
"SCOOORREEEE!" I shout. I told Christoff and Jason we were moving, but the sad feeling was forgotten as soon as we turned on the WiiU.
"Again!?!" Jason groans. "Ill stick to real football thank you. Something I can actually beat you at."
I laugh, "Again?"
Christiff chuckles, "Ill beat you yet!!!"

Booksy OwlyParticipantI'm about to reply "no way!", when my mom comes into my room. "What's that?" she asks. I let her read it. "Of course you're coming!" she exclaims. Well, that's that, then. I pack my things while my mom perches on the edge of my bed. Pride and Predjudice...check. Glasses and case…check. "I like to party, and by party, I mean read." PJs, check. Toothbrush and comb…check. Periodic table of elements t-shirt…check. Teddy bear…check. (I think for a moment. What if people laugh at me? But I can't leave him at home. I just can't.) Diary…check. All done, I think. I fold and organise everything perfectly, and then turn to my mom.
"Uh…Mom? So, what do I expect at a sleep-over?"
"What do you mean? Oh, right. You've never been to one. (tisk-tisk-tisk) When I was your age, I was over at my friend's house practically every weekend- not doing extra math homework!"
Yeah, yeah, yeah. My mom is always trying to make me more social.
"Never mind," I dismiss it. "If you need me, I'll be up in my room, reading. Or doing 9th grade history."
********
When we get to Katie's place, Viola and Mellie are already there. Some of the nervous butterflies housed in my stomach disappear as I run over to meet my friend.
