I agree that the battle should begin at the end of Power of Howl or the beginning of Power of Fang (or The Final Chapter, as I like to call it)
Catastrophe is pretty much bent on getting Ronan at this point, thinking that Claaws will come after him, causing this giant chain reaction so that all the Powers are close enough that he can kill them. (Dumb, right?) Once he has all of these Relics, he'll have extremely powerful magic that can be used to destroy Kyngdom. I thought it would be fun to write about a giant final battle with hunts for Claaws on the side. I know that at the end, I would like there to be some kind of face-off between Ronan and Catastrophe, even if this doesn't mean that Catastrophe dies (He probably won't for plot reasons, but will get de-evilized due to Jaaws abandoning him and caught in the giant black hole he makes. Ask me about it later.)

I think one of our many problems is just getting to the final battle. There is so much that we have to do in between, and we start missions and…fail them. I don't know if we are coordinated enough to get there.

Yes! That is a wonderful, beautifully phrased point. I think we need a plan. One that's loose enough to keep the fun in RPing and allow for plot twists, but structured enough to get us where we want to go (i.e. through the last chapters and to the final battle). That's kind of why I revived this thread; so we could talk about what's going on, drop ideas, and brainstorm.

Does anyone else notice how Kyngdom is dying? We need to get to a point fast and keep the action, the blood of the story, flowing….
So, battles? Jokull? Extreme scenes involving the Power of Howl?

A lot of organizations seem to be deteriorating or collapsing, so one potential plot could be letting everything (and I do mean everything) fall apart, even purposely destroying it, allowing us to build it back up from the bottom. Like the song It's Time by Imagine Dragons, or like when Zeus and the other gods overthrew Cronus and the Titans. The world was overturned, but good things happened after. And that reminds me of Hamilton, specifically the song The World Turned Upside Down. It's okay if stuff isn't working out; we can always tear it down and start over. But that doesn't involve getting ahead of ourselves. A collapse like that is slow, so we can't go too fast. Blazing Star may be returning soon, so right now we could do something involving the Power of Hoof. Like activating it when all else fails in whatever our next battle is. And I'm planning some developments with Karune that might be important, but feel free to control Lycaella, Nygrune and Nieke for the time being.

I'm working on it, you can check the Hello, it's me… thread if you want to see. I'm planning to figure something out for Lycaella and Nygrune once I'm done developing what's up with Karune, but in the meantime, well, I never thought RPing the stages of grief would be so fun.

If the Elites get hypnotised by Jaaws they could feed the Resistance false information (thus leading to destruction) until they figure it out.

Is the plan for the Elites to get hypnotised? Because I would prefer for Trixie not to, but if it would be better she can. Oooh! If Hazel gets hypnotised and Trixie doesn't, Hazel can tell everyone that Trixie is hypnotised/a spy so no one will believe her.

Am I the only one who doesn't like the idea of the Resistance collapsing? I mean, think about it, what would happen to Kyngdom if Catastrophe was defeated and the Resistance didn't exist? Some crazy rulership depression?

Random thought: What is the oligarchy right now even doing in the war to replace it? Besides funding certain causes?
Another random thought: If the Resistance collapsed, a lesser group could probably seize the chance to take over.

Yeah, they really haven't done anything as a whole. You'd think the government would try to stop the war in their own country. That should change.

I'm not very familiar with the Nobyls, or what forces they command, and how they operate, so I'm not sure what they would do exactly with the war.
Since neither Catastrophe's Army nor the Resistance supports Kyngdom's current government, here's a few ideas on how the Nobyls might go about this–
1. Behind the scenes
Hire a few people to help behind the scenes. Spies, bounty hunters, you name it. However, this seems very underhanded, and from what I've seen of the Nobyls, I don't entirely believe they would do that.
2. …Forgot.
I just forgot my idea.
3. Negotiations
Negotiate with the forces. Allow such and such things to be done as long as the government stays intact/they get good roles in the new government/compromise/etc.
So let's move on to questions time!
1. If the Resistance collapses, can the council-based government be placed still? I kinda like that idea–the Kyngdom Council.
2. What the heck is happening with the final battle?! I'm very confused as to how this all goes together.

I didn't come up with the idea of the Nobyls, but my impression is that they are a collection of landowning families who form a council or king's court, like the lords and ladies, counts and countesses, dukes and duchesses, and barons and baronesses of medieval England. They would command whatever people they employ and may obey a monarch. Cornelia Hornshaw used to be one, if I'm not mistaken. They would act as individuals, each one doing whatever befit their personal desires and standards, as demonstrated by Lilly, Karune and their parents. Answers to questions time:
1. I think so. It was the style of government there was before, so everyone would be at least acquainted with how things would work, and therefore more comfortable with it. It also gives everyone a chance to claim power if it's a democratic council.
2. Well, Catastrophe sure isn't going to win, that's canon as verified by Ronan. It also isn't going to be Jaaws, as decided by seemingly unanimous consent. It looks like it might end up as a sort of free-for-all, with whatever survivors fit to fight battling it out against whoever they choose and making on-the-spot alliances and decisions. Like a cross between a gladiator fight and a popularity contest. Previously made strategies and agreements will be allowed, obviously, but will be subject to happenstance. It sounds good to me, what do you think?

So, what's going to happen next?
shadow is back, and so is Alexandria. The contract with Death is a complication; who are the five people, and will shadow be able to take their lives?
Icy and Karune/Rose have gone rogue, and that leaves exactly no one to deal with the Resistance's paperwork and a big loss of funds.
The Elites may be on their way to discovering a weakness of Jaaws'. All of the Powers are currently missing in action. Claaws' instrument must be found, but when, and how? And where is Lunee's guardian?
The battle in Eastern Kyngdom may put a dent in Catastrophe's forces, but he's after the Crown without having gotten the Shield. What will happen if he gets to it?
And where is the Shield? I didn't really think through that post about the thing Lycaella found in the woods, but it could be the Shield and the home of a guardian if that's okay. Either way, the Shield needs to be found soon.
What's the status of B.I.G. and SOCS? Are they still any kind of threat? What are they up to?
Where are the Resistance bases? Where are Catastrophe's bases? The elves'? The SOCS? B.I.G.'s? What do all sides' forces consist of?
Where did everyone go? Are they coming back? Can we keep everything up with those we have left? Is this thread going to top? I hope so.
Mexi says oath. Do you want us all to take one, Mexi? In-story or out of charrie? So many questions…

Yes, the lives will be a complication. But we get there when we get there.
I think Baron might help with he funds. He's not only a prince, but originally from a fairly wealthy family. I'll talk to him.

He wont get to it. Not yet, at least. Catastrophe went the wrong way. I still have it, Ronan has the decoy.
I thought Trixie had the Sheild…I don't know.
BIG isn't a problem, and SOCS was disbanded when Rigga was killed.
Shadow came back, along with Alexandria…so did Icy, so we'll just have to see if others come back.

Hmmm. If Trixie will agree, we could have Connie and Fia find the shield because that fulfills the prophecy thing, and that way it can be found. Just a thought…

It wouldn't be. I know where it's hidden, and it wasn't there. Connie couldn't really find it, because it isn't lost, but she could be the one to convince Trixie and Ben to bring it out of hiding. Would that work for you, Connie?

Just to be clear, I meant that the Shield couldn't be the one Lycella found in the woods because it wasn't there, but that Connie could convince Trixie if that was okay with her.
