Hey! I realized that basically everyone was using themselves as characters, lol, which i failed to notice before this, so im changing Arden to me.

Personality: I love books and cats, I'm kinda shy and introverted at first but once I become friends with someone I open up a lot, but I tend not to go out of my way to talk to/befriend someone so I like extroverted people. I always try to be nice to people except when I'm being sarcastic lol (which I often am) but even then I always do my best not to hurt people's feelings

Appearance (please add your attire): blonde hair that comes down to a little below my shoulders with a teal streak in the front, grayish blue eyes, nails painted an extremely sparkly, eye-catching shade of glittery blue. I'm wearing black leggings, a Hamilton t-shirt, and dark purple sneakers, with a gray hoodie in my backpack for when I get cold (I feel like I'm always too cold or too hot)

Day 1, Part 1:

Casey Carter, director for Camp Luminance, smiled as ten kids moved into view through the jungle-like forestry around her. She waved at them, and a couple waved back, but most were chatting comfortably with the others. She told them to come up and join her on a large porch with several rocking chairs, three benches, and a checkerboard table. When they all had tugged their bags onto the porch, Casey cleared her throat.

“Hello, and welcome to Camp Luminance! I’m sure you all are very excited, just as we are!” 

Just as Casey said, ‘as we are!’, the door that opened into an office burst and several adults made their way, single file, to form separate lines beside Casey. They wore shirts with the words “CAMP LUMINANCE!” written in bubble letters in various colors. They all had certain colored bracelets on their right hands, and they each had a name tag.

“These are your counselors for the week! They are going to take you to you cabins, get you settled in, and bring you back here to hang out until dinner!” The Counselors nodded. “I’ll lay down a few guidelines and we can get started. First of all, please don’t go into the woods behind the cabins. One year we lost a camper there, and they STILL haven’t come back.” She paused and cleared her throat again. “Anyways, don’t leave the campgrounds without telling me or a counselor, the bathrooms are in the dining hall, the cabins, and the woods,” a few gasped, but Casey went on. “Please tell me if you see or find something strange, and remember: we are here to help. Get one of our attentions if you need anything! Thank you and I’ll leave the counselors to it!” 

A man with a dark blue t-shirt, a matching blue wristband, and a name tag that said “Hi, my name is Jude” stepped forward.

“Alright everyone! I’ll ask you to please grab your luggage and follow me over to those buildings over there. Let’s go!” The campers proceeded to grab their bags and lined up to follow Jude to the three green, tan, and light blue buildings.

The counselors separated into two groups, one with three and one with seven.

A girl named Patience stepped forward from the latter group and held up a clipboard.

“Alright! Hawkstar, Moon Wolf, Swallow, Amelia, Scuttles, Amari, and Wafflecat are coming with us to Forest.” she said and gestured to the green building which conveniently had a sign that said “FOREST” in bold letters. “The rest of you go with those three over there!” She grinned and beckoned for them to come.

Each group filed into the buildings and shut both doors with soft slams.

Back on the porch, Casey sighed. Her hair fluttered in the wind as a slight breeze passed through. She sniffed and smelled all the honeysuckles that were in bloom. Suddenly, a crash sounded to her left. She walked quietly over to the railing and looked down.

“Hm.” She said and walked briskly inside the office.

Oh, and to those who still want to join, you can! I just needed to put the first part out before things got crazy with thanksgiving or this thread fell victim to the jaws of ammnesia. (a.k.a. the backpages)
