In Forest, the campers were getting their counselor buddies for the week. “You are to find your buddy whenever you go to an activity or are heading to the Mess Hall. Your buddy is here to help and make sure everything is okay." Patience took a deep breath and listed off all the buddies, which is as follows:

Swallow has Natalie Torch, a late teenaged girl with several fire themed stickers on her water bottle. Amelia has Penelope Treks, a slim girl who wears deep blue ballet shoes everywhere. Scuttles has Logan Wade, who has a sweatshirt with a picture of rain falling on an umbrella. Moon Wolf has Phillip Fidget, a tall blond-haired man with clouded blue eyes, and sometimes a wolf-themed bracelet. Amari has Tory Rote, who wears smart looking glasses with a tuxedo-colored tank-top he usually wears. Wafflecat has Jude Slack, a shorter-than-average man who has a blue rubber band on his wrist, other than the needed wristband.  And Hawkstar has Patience Glide, a girl who is often wearing her favorite necklace with the words ‘If you can dream, you can fly’ inscribed on a silver bird silhouette. 

In Seasons, the campers were also being divvied up to their buddies, following the same procedure as Forest:

Celine has Ophelia Whisper, a quiet girl with usually animal-themed headbands. Hex has Laika Patch, a girl who has braces and a Red Cross symbol on her watch. Bushy Tail has Tate Perdu, who has a backwards baseball cap with the words ‘Be clear’ embroidered in cursive above a diamond. Beatrice has Emma Parks, who usually wears a crop-top grey hoodie with the word ‘GROW’ written overtop a flourishing tree. And Lynx has Aura Gale, a tall girl in her twenties with blowing leaf hanging earrings and usually a messy bun.

And in Beach, the freshly arrived Lord Entropy is paired up with Nicholas Arch, a man who wears his favorite black tank top hoodie with a  bubble surrounding  the words ‘In my bubble of space’.

PHEW! Thank you, Toppity & Top! I needed the weekend to recover from two thanksgivings in a row. Or perhaps a week. :I

Day 1, Part 2:

The campers, paired with their buddies, began to move into the room. In the green cabin, Patience, smiling a knowing smile, opened the door to the Forest room for the girls and them.

Wafflecat, Swallow, and Hawkstar all gasped at the same time, while the others let their jaws drop or covered their mouths in surprise.

If it could be, I sure it would, but this room would not be described anything other than magical. The wallpaper had a 3-d look to it, the oak trees and all the shrubs seemed to pop out, as if you could touch them and feel the bark or leaves. The bunkbeds were made up of actual trees logs, that once they reached the ceiling, the ceiling was painted to replicate the tops of the trees, covered with a wide canopy of leaves. If you watched the ceiling for a little while, you would see the leaves move with a small breeze, and you would feel that breeze. At night, when the stars came out, you could see the Big Dipper, or Orion's belt through the canopy. In the middle, there were beanbag-type logs and a glimmering, heat-giving, campfire.

In the light blue cabin, Aura opened the door excitedly for Celine, Lynx and Beatrice. The trio stepped admiringly into the environment. 

The Autumn room had a similar wallpaper, ceiling, and bunkbeds to the Forest, but this one had several white birches losing their colored leaves, and an occasional deer hidden among the quiet area, and it looked and sounded like the deer was moving or eating. Red squirrels chittered contentedly in the otherwise still woods. There were leaf-pile beanbags in the middle surrounding a large glowing lantern, also heated.

Laika opened the door for Hex and Bushy Tail, who in turn whispered "Woah."

The wallpaper, bunkbeds, and ceiling followed in suit with the previous two rooms, but this time it was a winter wonderland. The trees were pine and evergreen trees, followed up by a bare, grey woodland behind them. A small white rabbit hopped quietly beneath the pines, and two cardinals, male and female, flitted around above. In the center of the room, white beanbags surrounded a deep blue, glowing, ice fire, emitting heat just like the rest.

In the tan cabin, Nicholas opened the door for Lord Entropy with an enthusiastic grin.

The Beach was excitingly different from the other three. The farthest wall had an ocean that moved as an normal ocean would, the waves rising and falling. The floor was peppered with soft seashells, some even having a prediction for the week or a silly joke on the inside, and though the floor had a sandy demeanor, it was comfortably smooth and sometimes even shifting, like the sand on a real beach. The wall with the door had a palm tree forest, complete with small palm looking bushes, and some quiet monkeys , carefully swinging from tree to tree. The ceiling had some seagulls flying, occasionally letting loose a distant squawk, and fluffy clouds. In the center, several comfortable beach towels raised up on a lump of "sand" surrounded a bonfire-like contraption, which, as the others, effused light and heat.
