Yeah, I was thinking a minor antagonist, perhaps the best friend of Lucias Malfoy. He's the one in this story, correct?

Yeah, she could be a minor atagonist, like Malfoy or Crabbe or Pansy Parkinson. We just need a major antagonist, like Voldemort. The problem is, we can't make up a character too big, or something will happen that Harry and everyone else in the books would have heard about and mentioned. And actually, I want Lily to be in Advanced Potion Making for extracurricular too, Slughorn said she was realy good at Potions, it seems like something she'd want to do... AARGH! I think Lily is a Mary Sue. I just can't think of any bad qualities to give her... I need help!

((I just love it how similiar my name and that of "Mary Sue" are...

But yes, Lily is a bit Sueish... hmm. It was fine in the books, I suppose, because she wasn't technically *alive*... but here she'll need some flaws. *thinks*

...Hmm, you're right, I can't think of any conceivably bad qualities for Lily Evans. We know she was rather stubborn- you could play that up, right?

Sorry, I'm not at my best today, any writing I do is going to be horribly unoriginal because I've spent about half my day reading...))

((Cara's in Ravenclaw, I think. ))

"I wonder who'll come in here next..." said Noel. "Does this always
happen? And are there usually people wearing that kind of clothing? If
so, it's a good thing this school has a uniform..."

Cara's eyes still burned from the startling pink. "Uh-huh." she said absently, her eyes still on the hulking figure in front of her.

Just then the door opened again.

((Sorry, I really won't be able to get on the computer all that often.))

((I'll introduce my character just for now, and then we can decide what to do with her...lol.))

If you had been looking into the last compartment of the Hogwarts express, you would have gotten the impression that it was empty. All except for one girl, curled in a seat by the window, her slender legs hanging from the cushion and nose buried in a book.

Ainsley Corvax flipped through the pages of Owl Training and You with silent interest, though her mind was focused on other things, such as the whereabouts of her Slytherin friends. Lucius Malfoy, her closest male companion, was nowhere to be found, and she was mildly worried. But there was no time to think about that. If she wanted to be a prefect and have the ability to boss around the annoying younglings, she would have to have a spot-on attitude for thePotions teacher this year. She wondered who their new professor would be, to herself, as she read the quirks and advantages of training your ownbark own to carry parcels across England. She flipped her black hair over her shoulder, and took out her wand about to try a summoning spell for her owl, when the door to the compartment banged open.

((This can be anyone in particular. Is anyone playing Bellatrix, if not, can I?))

I'm on at the same time as someone!

@Mary: I suppose it might work if I make her really stubborn. It was about the only flaw Sandry of the  Circle books had.

((@ Annie: TNO (umlaut) is, but you could still be James Potter, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Macnair, Mulciber, Avery, Regulas Black, Severus Snape, or Bertha Jorkins. Or even a teacher, I suppose. Take your pick. :)

@ Ima: What are the Circle books?, and good luck with Lily Sue.

Regarding the name of Umbridge's cat, I'm leaning towards Fluffy. :) ))

I could be Snape, I think. I also like the name Fluffy. Or Pookie or Sugar or any other sort of sappy, sweet names. Laughing

((Yes. I claim Bella. However I certainly wouldn't mind if you "borrowed" her in certain posts. Also, can I be Narcissa as well? *feels greedy*

Off topic: At camp, we tried to light a fire and it exploded. Alison's eyebrow, eyelashes, and bangs got singed. It was AWESOME.))

To Summarize:

Cara Appledore (Ravenclaw) entered a compartment containing Sara Peterson (Ravenclaw) and Noel Hutofis(Ravenclaw). They appear to be conversing with one another in a friendly manner when Grendle Tirebum (Slytherin) walks in and begins arguing with them. Umbridge (?) walks in, but leaves after exchanging a few minor comments. As far as I know, Grendle is still in the compartment.

Meanwhile, Ainsley Corvax (Slytherin) is sitting alone in her compartment, reading a book and wondering after the whereabouts of Lucius Malfoy(Slytherin), when the door opens and a mysterious someone walks in.

People, now would be a good time to introduce your charries to the rolelay!

Is there anyone in Hufflepuff? Usually Slytherins make fun of Hufflepuffs, so I'm looking for one, to develop my character's "badness". Laughing

((whoo! Doubled in length in five days!))

Adela yanked at the end of her ponytail as she moved silently past the full compartments. "This is what I get for being late," she muttered darkly, and peered into another window. Mostly Slytherins, but it was the first compartment that she had passed that wasn't completely packed, so she took a breath and slid open the door.

A seventh year with a Head Girl badge carelessly pinned onto her robes turned at the sound. "Oh," she said expressionlessly, her eyebrows raising ever so slightly. "It's you."

"Mm. Lovely to see you again to, Bellatrix," Adela said cooly. "Think you can stomach sitting next to me until we get to Hogwarts?"

"That depends," the older girl replied.

"On?" Adela asked. "Or shall I guess? Money? Food? A sloppy block or two during the next Ravenclaw versus Slytherin Quidditch game?"

Bellatrix shrugged. "Cards?"

"I might be able to arrange something," Adela said.

((@ Annie: Bertha Jorkins is, but no one's playing her yet. If you want you could have her, I'm guessing.))

Dolores Umbridge didn't have many friends, but she either preferred it that way or simply didn't notice. It hadn't always been that way, but certain things had happened to change the way Dolores thought about life.

Her elder brother had said it was some sort of superiority complex, and her father, a doctor of sorts, said it was a form of OCD, but for one reason or another, very little had ever been up to the standards that Dolores had. They used to just be standards that she set for herself, when she was younger. That was when she was ambitious and outgoing, and always pushing herself to do better. But after... that... happened, it had slowly turned into no one else being good enough for Dolores. None of her friends, or family, or schoolteachers, or anything. Not after what happened during third year.

((Now Umbridge has a bit of a past. Yay!))
