Ooh, I love this so much!! I'll probably do this again when the answers aren't so much off the top of my head!

1: A book you're in the middle of reading: really? Ok, I'm in the middle of like 20 books right now, but the one that's currently right next to me is The Crooked Sixpence (The Uncommoners)

2: A favorite book for all ages: The Phantom Tollbooth maybe? Narnia or Anne of Green Gables?

3: A book you love with a lovely or unique title: The Book of Not Entirely Useful Advice, I'm Just No Good at Rhyming (love love love love love reconvened to everyone). What If? Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions (and as I'm Just No Good at Rhyming, but also a lot for science/math geeks, ppl who like to be wowed, ppl who like comics, and ppl who are kinda dark. And like hypothetical what ifs! And a bit funny too!)

4: A book with a main character you most related to: this is easy! I'm gonna make a thread later but the day before yesterday I just read Quiet Girl in a Noisy World: An Introvert's Story, calling all introverts and everyone, this book is perfect perfect perfect (it's done in comics also, and is funny)!! I relate so so so much to the author(/main character), everything, every single thought, line, sentence in there, is something I live by, something I interact with every day of my life. The only thing is that I accept I'm an introvert, and I don't have like a voice in my head that tells me it's bad or whatever (instead I have my very social family and other concerned outgoing adults in my life who want me to "actually interact with people" and don't think I have that many friends and are always like, talk with this person! Suddenly become bffs with this person overnight and do everything with them! How many times did you really talk to someone today? Which, I appreciate, but it just makes my feel lonely. Like, it's not fine to be alone?? Just cuz you like to?? To spend a whole party in the corner reading a book cuz it's (one of) the best book(s) ever and it's comfortable and I did rly try leaving my comfort zone but I literally don't rly have any friends here except my book and this party's literally about 4-5 hours long and it's kinda the first party I basically don't know anyone at and the only way I'm having fun is by reading. Alone.?And, maybe I don't have that many friends, but it's literally the first week (not even!) of school so no, it's not weird I don't rly have any friends there (right?) like how you guys just get friends so easily bc I'm rly shy remember, and remember all my friends I just abandoned this year at my old school or are already at a different school or are on here?? So, yes, I do have friends, they're all lovely amazing friends, I do have a social life I love even though I'm not as gregarious as you guys (though once you get me going...) and anyways it takes time for me to have a social life at a new school bc I actually care about if my friends are nice ppl I want to spend time with, which Ik you guys do too but you guys just pick a random person, pair me up with them even though they're all already in a pretty developed friend group, and are like Be amazing friends and talk about each other all day and do everything together. And if you don't you don't have any friends and need to be more social (like I don't already try and get brushed off bc plans are already made). But... I mean, they're nice, but... they already have friends and I can never find them so yes today I ate lunch by myself and read a book (books. I love you). Sorry... ranting... *sigh*) or have a battery. I love surrounding myself with enthusiastic, crazy, outgoing energy, even if I'm not always actively involved in it.

5: A book you've read many times: all the HoO books! Like maybe at least 5 rereads for all of them so I can just open to a random page, and start reading knowing exactly what's going on

6: A great read that's light and funny: Where Is My Hat (Ik, it's a kids book, but it was fun and light). Leviathan (Jason Shiga, though it does start with a bit of... uhh... maybe not so great stuff? It's my "video game book" though, but way better than a video game! So... *hint hint* (my brother calls this my advertisement moment)) as well. I'm not so certain about the funny part, but it is fun. Wishtree and Flora and Ulysees are really funny kids books too, but they're not as light (I'm assuming "light" means doesn't deal with any real life issues? Just enjoyable and fun)

7: A great book with a great cover: Five Things About Ava Andrews/Tidesong

8: A favorite book that came out relatively recently: The Midnight Children. One of my favorite favorite books every (yes, the two favorites were intentional), it's a kinda light, simple, satisfying, thought-provoking, reasonable, surprising, interesting, emotional, true, lovely read by am author I love, Dan Gemeinhart (Coyote Sunrise and the Honest Truth and some others too!), and it has a gorgeous cover, part of the reason why I picked it up. Amazing characters and writing too, and message. And titles. And... well, love love love it! And it came out, wow, August 30 last year! We're nearing the first anniversary (5 more days!)! Again, also Leviathan by Jason Shiga!

9: A favorite book that's rather old: uhh... well, The Planting Tollbooth, Narbia, Anne of Green Gables, Little Women, The Jungle Book, Encyclopedia Brown and Dr. Haledjian(?), The Golden Compass...

10: A book you love no one else has heard of: ohhh. Uhh... I love so many stand-alones and such so... some of 'em if you've read? The Simple Art of Flying, Ban This Book, Sara and the Search for Normal, The Princess Who Flew with Dragons, Simon Sort of Says, All Rise For the Honorable Perry T Cook, Lost in the Sun... I'll come back with some better answers later

3: A book you love with a lovely or unique title: agh, i can't think of a good one right now... Luminary, maybe, though that's nonfiction

4: A book with a main character you most related to: The School for Good and Evil, maybe?

5: A book you've read many times: Moo by Sharon Creech

YOU'VE READ ALL THOSE BOOKS I HAVE TOO!!

well, no. That is an exaggeration. And there are technicalities to deal with.

But yeah, James wasn't very good (and CREEPY btw), I only listened to the audiobook of Fantastic Mr. Fox (and I've only watched the BFG movie), and I haven't read the Giraffe and Pelly and Me though I was really thinking about it. But I've read everything else! And Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (tho not the Glass Elevator) and The Twits!! And... that turtle one was pretty good too... Esio Trot I think it was called! Tortoise backwards! Also, am I the only one who was truly frightened by The Witches? And the only one who was seriously wondering whether Henry Sugar was fiction or nonfiction? Really, for a week (or more like a month) I thought it was really, truly true! But now I know the only thing really true are the falling coconuts, they are deadly.

Feiya says ROWYD. Rowdy? I think you've got your letters all scrambled up dear Feiya!

LOL

Yeah, and the james and the giant peach movie was scaryyy. I forgot about BFG! The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me is okay, it's short and sweet but mostly full of songs and poems. The thing with Roald Dahl is that like...nothing is impossible in his world of writing, which is kinda just easy. But the names and words he makes up are amazing.

I remember when I used to get Roald Dahl and Dr. Seuss mixed up...

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...mm, I watched the movie but refused to read the book until my sister talked about square candies that look 'round. Then I cracked it open and got addicted to it. I HAVE read The Glass Elevator, that's just Roald Dahl struggling to write more books, it's not that good.

The. Twits. I love that one!! And Quentin Blake's illustrations are somehow perfect for all of Dahl's books.

Mm, I guess the Witches might be my favorite book of Roald Dahl's though there are frogs in it which I despise. I mean, WHY did she have to turn CHILDREN into FROGS? Anyways,  I remember going to sleep after I read it and got scared the Grand High Witch was going to turn me into a mouse so I tried to fall asleep as fast as possible.

1: A book you're in the middle of reading: The Alice NetworkThe OdysseyDune: MessiahThe Mote in God's Eye

2: A favorite book for all ages: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone or Dragons Love Tacos

3: A book you love with a lovely or unique title: I like the title Six of Crows for some reason. In terms of unique titles, probably Ella Minnow Pea, which has not only a really unique and clever title but also a fascinating plot and style and everything.

4: A book with a main character you most related to: oh gosh. Maybe Zara from Anxious People?

5: A book you've read many times: all the Harry Potter books, all the Ranger's Apprentice books, all the Septimus Heap books, and so many more that I can't remember right now—mostly favorites from a few years ago that I still reread because they're nostalgic (and good haha)

6: A great read that's light and funny: I'd say anything by Terry Pratchett—it's not like they're super innocent books, but they kind of treat the world with humor and sarcasm, which I like.

7: A great book with a great cover: Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom both have really clever covers, probably my favorite. I also always laugh at the cover of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep where the sheep is unraveling into an electricity cord. (look it up!) The cover of Babel is also super cool. And there was this one book I saw once with a cover I thought was really cool, but I've never read it and I don't know if it's good or not—I think it was called Caraval? And then Auri and Kal are literally so perfect and pretty on covers of The Aurora Cycle books 1 and 2.

8: A favorite book that came out relatively recently: wow, I can't think of any books I've read that came out recently... I've been mostly reading classic scifi recently, which is anything but written recently, and anything beyond that I either can't remember or has been my favorite for years and therefore isn't recent either. The most recently written book that makes it into my favorites is probably Anxious People in 2019.

9: A favorite book that's rather old: although it's not super old in the grand scheme of things, I'd say probably all-time favorites are To Say Nothing of the DogThe Doomsday Book, which were written in 1997 and 1992 respectively.

10: A book you love no one else has heard of: maybe HPMOR (Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality), a Harry Potter fanfic where Harry's in Ravenclaw, very smart, applies scientific research principles to everything, totally ignores Ron the whole book, and is kind of evil.

ah, this looks so fun! here we go

1: A book you're in the middle of reading: All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. which might be the most gorgeous title I've ever seen in my life? I'm not sure how I feel about the book itself yet, though.

2: A favorite book for all ages: The Little Prince. this book is just so wonderful. it's so beautiful and quiet and it's that famous for a reason.

3: A book you love with a lovely or unique title: Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater. The third book in The Raven Cycle. the story is as weird and enchanting as the title.

4: A book with a main character you most related to: wow. hmm. Cassandra Mortmain from I Capture the Castle, maybe?

5: A book you've read many times: Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. I first read it when I was nine; I still love it.

6: A great read that's light and funny: The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett.

7: A great book with a great cover: Gallant by V.E. Schwab. It's just brilliant.

8: A favorite book that came out relatively recently: Gallant came out last year.

9: A favorite book that's rather old: I Capture the Castle is from 1948. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is a somewhat similar book (young girl reads books, comes of age in the 1940s) that I also like, published five years earlier.

10: A book you love no one else has heard of: The Peculiar by Stefan Bachmann. It's a middle grade gaslamp fantasy: England, except faeries live among us. it's very well-written and odd and simply fantastic.f

Oh wow this is a great idea, Tsuki!

1 - hmm... Oh that's right, Everything Sad is Untrue by Daniel Nayeri. Or is it David Nayeri? I forgot.

2 - Oh...I'm not sure. Maybe a DK Eyewitness book. Those are very informative.

3 - The Phantom Tollbooth, like Celine said. I totally love that book, it's so funny.

4 - Hmm. I'm not sure about this one...I'm a very complicated person. It might not seem that way because there are things I hide inside myself. Does anyone know which character from which book relates to me??

5 - I've read a very sad book called Kira-Kira by Cynthia Kadohata a lot of times. It's very funny, but it does get sad.

6 -  Maybe...THE WHOLE SERIES OF WOF!!

7 - Orphan Island, I'm blanking on the author right now...The cover is beautiful.

8 - huh. oh darn. I just saw that I'm supposed to do only a few...Okay, I'll just skip this one...Oh wait, I thought of one: Under the Broken Sky is a really good book, it's written in verse. It's just amazing overall.

9 - Um...Any fairytale :)

10 - My own book, To Bee Or Not To Bee. It's about a bee that can't fly. Maybe I'll post a little of it on Inkwell...
