2: A favorite book for all ages:

3: A book you love with a lovely or unique title:

4: A book with a main character you most related to:

5: A book you've read many times:

6: A great read that's light and funny:

7: A great book with a great cover:

8: A favorite book that came out relatively recently:

9: A favorite book that's rather old:

10: A book you love no one else has heard of:

You can do this multiple times or just choose a few of these to answer:)

No, I haven't read the Night Gardener, and I agree, it might be good. In the back of Sweep (another one of Auxier's AMAZING books which I just so happen to have), there was a preview of The Night Gardener. I read it and it's an eerie intriguing begginning. I really want to read it.

I've always wanted to have a lucid dream! It sounds so cool!

Have you ever read the Clementine series? They are hilarious! (probably should have put it in the "Light and Funny" section) My sister has the first(?) five books... I think. Seriously though, super good books!

Ooo, questions! My favorite!

1: A book you're in the middle of reading: I'm currently reading the last Hunger Games book.

2: A favorite book for all ages: Hmm, let's see.... We have this picture book callled The Quilt Makers Gift. It's an absolutely beautiful book and as a very emotional person, it never fails to make me tear up.

3: A book you love with a lovely or unique title: Ooh, The Dragon with a Chocolate Heart by Stephanie Burgis. I don't know, it tickles me just the right way.

4: A book with a main character you most related to: Hmm, I really love Miles from The Candymakers by Wendy Mass. That is such a unique book.

5: A book you've read many times: The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall. The cover is literally falling apart. I also let my friend borrow it and she kept it for over a year, so it's extra read.

6: A great read that's light and funny: Remarkable by Lizzie K. Foley is such a lovely little book. it's hilarious and all over the place, yet written in such a calming, chill way.

7: A great book with a great cover: I love the covers of The Magic Misfits series by Neil Patrick Harris. The card-like appearance is super satisfying and I love the art style. Even the spines are super pretty.

8: A favorite book that came out relatively recently: The Dragon and the Girl: True North by Laura Findley Evans. It's a simple book, but very beautiful. It switches between characters a lot, which usually gets confusing, but this book handles to very well. It has such a comfortable and cozy feeling.

9: A favorite book that's rather old: *Cough* I haven't read a lot of old books, heh. I've read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Jungle Book, but I didn't love either of them.

10: A book you love no one else has heard of: The Girl who Speaks Bear by Sophie Anderson is an absolutely gorgeous book. The writing is wonderful, the characters are lovely and there are several short stories scattered throughout that all relate to the main character. I love it so much.

1: A book you're in the middle of reading: No basta ser padre by Germán Dehesa; at least I haven't actually started reading it yet, but I'm going to, and my mom was reading parts of it aloud to me and we were collapsing in laughter because it is soooo hilarious :)

2: A favorite book for all ages: A Single Pearl, by Donna Jo Napoli and illustrated by Jim LaMarche. It's actually a picture book, but the pictures are so incredibly beautiful that I think anyone would enjoy it. They're of palaces, beaches, sunsets, oceans... my favorite ones are of the sunsets and beaches, and I think they're probably some of my favorite works of art of all time. The Olga da Polga books by Michael Bond are also great for younger readers, without being childish - they feature the adventures of an adorably spunky and self-assured guinea pig who tells stories as well as having lots of escapades of her own.

3: A book you love with a lovely or unique title:  Half Magic, by Edward Eager

4: A book with a main character you most related to: I can't think of any that have characters I related to really well. Maybe Julieta and the Romeos by Maria E. Andreu.

5: A book you've read many times: Gone-Away Lake, by Elizabeth Enright. I practically have it memorized lol.

6: A great read that's light and funny: When Dimple Met Rishi, by Sandhya Menon

7: A great book with a great cover: White Bird, by R. J. Palacio - not the graphic novel, the book. I actually haven't read it yet, but it's probably tolerably good, and the cover is certainly gorgeous.

8: A favorite book that came out relatively recently: Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch

9: A favorite book that's rather old:  Until recently nearly everything I read was pretty old, lol... I feel like writers used to write a lot better back in the 1900s. They were more original, and their characters didn't have panic attacks every five seconds. Anyway, I really like all the Edward Eager books, all the Chronicles of Narnia, and all the L M Alcott books, as well as a great many others :)

10: A book you love no one else has heard of: Time at the Top, by Edward Ormondroyd. It's just so heartwarming and interesting and fun (plus it's a fantasy! yay!)

Doing another one! :)

1: A book you're in the middle of reading: I Am the Messenger and A Darker Shade of Magic (thanks @Artemis for those two recommendations from the book log!!), Simon Sort of Says, Spilling Ink, LOTS and LOTS more

2: A favorite book for all ages: Mellybean I suppose, Breakout, the Land of Roar books (which also have such lovely covers) and The Girl Who Drank the Moon and The One and Only Ivan and The Greenglass House books and the Grace Lin books

3: A book you love with a lovely or unique title: Red, White, and Whole (so many meanings...), ooh @Opal I totally agree with you, I love The Dragon with a Chocolate Heart's title!! I've only read The Princess Who Flew with Dragons from that world though... oh, I also like The Doldrums and The Simple Art of Flying and From The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and Pity Party and Paper Heart and Orange for the Sunsets and Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus and On a Sunbeam and Green Glass Beads and The Book of Hopes and A Snicker of Magic (the book was ok) and technically, it's not my fault and Full Cicada Moon and The School for Whatnots and THE PURLOINING OF PRINCE OLEOMARGARINE!!!

4: A book with a main character you most related to: The Rosemary Spell in addition to Quiet Girl in a Noisy World I guess

5: A book you've read many times: all the Heroes of Olympus books!

6: A great read that's light and funny: Beverly Cleary and Winnie~the~Pooh (yes there are tildas on the cover) I think though every time I read it I forget everything soon after no matter how many times I try again, who knows why

7: A great book with a great cover: THE LOST LIBRARY GUYS HAVE YOU SEEN THAT COVER?! Haven't read it yet though... also The Simple Art of Flying and When Clouds Touch Us and The Tree of Ecrof and From the Desk of Zoe Washington and A Time of Green Magic in addition to Tidesong and Five Things About Ava Andrews oh and The Land of Roar books and Finding Junie Kim and the Karen Cush books and Tune It Out and A Whale of the Wild and Where the Sky Lives and The Boy, The Wolf, And The Stars and and Wings of Olympus and Beyond the Bright Sea and The Purloining of Prince Oleomargarine (I LOVE THIS COVER!!)

8: A favorite book that came out relatively recently: The Line Tender how have I not mentioned this book ever I LOVE IT IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL AND HEARTBREAKING AND I LITERALLY CANNOT MAKE MYSELF READ IT IT'S SO GOOD BRIDGE TO TERIBITHEA (though it's also fairly good) DIDN'T MAKE ME CRY BUT WOW THIS ONE READ IT!!! and The Boy, The Wolf, And The Stars in addition to The Midnight Children

9: A favorite book that's rather old: DISCWORLD!! I just finished Wyrd Sisters, I'm about to start Equal Rites, and I have Wee Free Men(?) and A Hat Full of Sky (Tiffany Aching!!) on hold at the library (the librarian was nice enough to get them for me even though I didn't ask, yayy!!!) so thank you so much @LoTS for recommending Discworld, @Hex for having I Shall Wear Midnight as a location and recommending Terry Pratchett, and @Jaybells for being so enthusiastic about Terry Pratchett!!! And, just as a refresher, as I said in my earlier posts, also: Anne of Green Gables series, A Little Princess, The Jungle Book, I liked some Charles Dickens tho I can't remember which one (I think was it Great Expectations?? But I only read the abridged version or whatever of this one), Roald Dahl, Little Women, Narnia, Encyclopedia Brown and Dr. Haledjian, The Phantom Tollbooth, Beverly Cleary, I Capture the Castle (so far it's awesome), Jane Eyre (still reading cuz I keep getting sidetracked by other books to finish cuz those are library books I have to return but it's SO GOOD SO FAR!!!), From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E Frankweiler and Mr. Popper's Penguins and is Shel Silverstein old? and I really love the reasonings of Fahrenheit 451 and The Purloining of Prince Oleomargarine and A Comedy of Errors

10: A book you love no one else has heard of: again, so many...

Oh my gosh, On a Sunbeam is such an amazing book T_T the art is so beautiful and the story is too...it's the kind of book that I thought was gonna have a really sad ending but then *spoiler alert* the ending was actually happy and hopeful but still so moving. And the world (for lack of a better word) building was so creative. I got through almost the whole book before realizing this universe contains no men and literally everyone is sapphic.

I started The Line Tender but didn't like the beginning so I didn't finish it...maybe I should!

This is such a good idea!

1: A book you're in the middle of reading:  The Bookshop of Dust and Dreams. I'm not very far in yet but I was very excited to find it because it incorporates 3 of my favorite things in a book: WWII-era historical fiction, magic, and bookstores.

2: A favorite book for all ages:
Clementine (technically a series) by Sara Pennypacker. It's about a spunky eight-year-old girl who gets into all kinds of scrapes and has fabulous curly red hair. If you're an audiobook person I recommend getting a hard copy at least to look at the pictures; Marla Frazee illustrates the series and honestly the pictures are like 50% of the awesomeness. The writing style is also really quirky and fun.

3: A book you love with a lovely or unique title:
The Time of Green Magic by Hilary McKay. Also a very good book.

4: A book with a main character you most related to:
Ok...probably Abigail from Time of Green Magic, actually. She likes to read xD

5: A book you've read many times:
Goodbye Stranger by Rebecca Stead. It's probably my favorite book ever. The characters are amazing.

6: A great read that's light and funny:
Sal and Gabi Break the Universe by Carlos Hernandez. This book is HILARIOUS. The audiobook is also really good.

7: A great book with a great cover:
(is it weird that I have a list for this) (this is the CB so probably not) Hmm...so many to choose from! How about Spindlefish and Stars by Christiane M. Andrews. The cover is illustrated by Yuta Onoda (he also did The Girl Who Drank the Moon and a lot of other amazing covers!)

8: A favorite book that came out relatively recently:
Tumble by Celia C. Perez. It came out in January, and it's about a girl who finds out that her long-lost father comes from a family of luchadores.

9: A favorite book that's rather old:
Anne of Green Gables

10: A book you love no one else has heard of:
The CB is a very tricky place to try to name a book that no one else has heard of, but the Wolves Chronicles by Joan Aiken is a British series that isn't super popular in the US. My favorite book from that series is Nightbirds on Nantucket

AT MY SLOWEST PACE THIS TOOK ME 5:26.4 MINUTES TO READ, FYI. AT MY FASTEST, 2:46.6 MINUTES! JUST IN CASE YOU NEED THAT!

Also, no, it is not weird you have a list for that at all! Today I just checked out The Grace of Wild Things from the library per your recommendation (thank you so much for that also!! I love love love the Anne of Green Gables series and yayy fantasy!! Also I think you also suggested Anne of Greenville which sounded so awesome and I loved so much the few opening pages on the preview they made me happy so I'm looking for somewhere to borrow that thank you for that too!! And while I'm thanking you... also thank you for the recommendation of A Darker Shade of Magic, it was, although somehow not a favorite, pretty good and entertaining and so amazing to read and learn about so I'm really happy for that, and thank you actually for ALL YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS BECAUSE THEY ALL SOUND SO GOOD AHH NEVER MIND THAT I'M CURRENTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF 19 BOOKS

(no, really. Haha. I should probably try to control myself but I can't. Equal Rites, Simon Sort of Says, Jane Eyre, A Comedy of Errors (part of a book of Shakespeare stories in English AND Mandarin which is pretty cool), Spilling Ink (rereading indefinitely), Meanwhile (Jason Shiga, again, been trying to solve it for OVER A YEAR AND A HALF NOW SOMEONE HELP ME I EVEN TRIED CHEATING AND I STILL CAN'T UNLOCK THE SECRET KEY AND GET TO THE END OF THE BOOK!!), The Troubled Girls of Dragomir Academy (yes I just borrowed it today despite all the books I'm still reading don't judge it's awesome), a book on composting called Composting for the Absolute Beginner: How to Improve your Soil for Better Organic Gardening (because I WANT TO VERMICOMPOST and my mom's like yes, sure, BUT MY BROTHER AND DAD ARE LIKE NO WORMS IN THE HOUSE AND SO THIS IS A LOSING BATTLE BUT I WILL PERSIST AND GET AS MANY COMPOSTING BOOKS AS NEEDED TILL I KNOW EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW AND... sorry I'll stop now :), On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness, This Would Make a Good Story Someday, I Am The Messenger (again, thank youu @Artemis!!), The Lost Hero (rereading for the hundredth million time), Outside the Box: A Book of Poems, Pure of Heart, 5 Worlds: The Sand Warrior (rereading.. the third time?? Second?? Oh well doesn't matter), Unlikely Friendships, Merriam-Webster's Elementary Dictionary (yes, partly because I'm that word geek and it's actually kinda fun, but mostly so I can say I'm reading a dictionary :), Flying Free, and Farenheit 451)

AND NOT TO MENTION THE PILES AND PILES AND OODLES AND OODLES OF BOOKS (mostly library books oops sorry library books I love you guys I love my local library everyone's awesome no late fees and unlimited checking out books plus it's so homey and cozy and safe and I'm literally there for hours thanks) I STILLL HAVE TO READ AND WANT TO READ JUST SITTING AROUND MY ROOM

(including but not limited to: Eight Cousins (yay Little Women!!), Esperanza Rising (going off of Coyote Sunrise's recommendation anyone understand?), Emily of New Moon (ANNE OF GREEN GABLES!!), mockingbird, Spirals In Time, The Tiger Rising (THE ONLY KATE DICAMILLO BOOK I HAVE NOT YET READ WE NEED TO FIX THAT!!), A Mango-Shaped Space (Wendy Mass has some good books, some ok books, some meh books, hopefully this'll be good.. but she introduced me to Lucid dreaming so all's forgiven if not), They Both Die at the End, The House in the Cerulean Sea, the good, good pig (SY MONTGOMERY!!), JULIETA AND THE ROMEOS AHH BOOK CLUBB, Our Stories, Our Voices, Nimona, The Adventures of a South Pole Pig, Twelve Angry Men, The House on Mango Street, King and the Dragonflies, Learning Not to Drown...)

AND AHEM ALSO FOR SOME CRAZY REASON I STILL HAVE HOLDS ON BOOKS IN LIBRARIES (e.g. The Hawk's Way, The Wee Free Men, A Hat Full of Sky, at least 5 on an online library website but I don't really use it that much so I may have forgotten which ones but I have to read those too there were also some good books there I remember)

hehe so basically my self-control is horrible and instead of reading all those millions of bajillions of books I am sitting here typing out torture for the admins.. yepp... sorry everyone I'll stop now I get crazy when books are mentioned...

THE TIME IT TAKES FOR ME HOPEFULLY FOR YOU TOO TO READ THIS IS AT THE TOP WHO KNOWS WHY I RECORDED IT YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ THIS JUST SAYING I'M JUST WEIRD AND SLIGHYLY CRAZY RN, SORRY I CAN'T MAKE MYSELF SHORTEN THIS

Ahhh it makes me so happy when someone takes my book recommendations so thank you! The Troubled Girls of Dragomir Academy is amazing and I bet you'll like it. Kate DiCamillo used to be my favorite author (it's not that I don't like her anymore, but I've discovered a lot more authors by now so it's hard to pin down a favorite). I love how different in style all of her books are--she has a book for every mood. My favorite book of hers is probably Raymie Nightingale or Flora and Ulysses, what's yours?

Well, your book recommendations are amazing so thank you! :)

Troubled Girls is AWESOME I borrowed it but I think I'm going to beg my parents to buy it because it's just that kind of book and plus the cover's also splendiferous!!!! but the thing is it made me cry and I was reading while eating dinner so my family was watching and basically if I'm crying then they ask me if I'm ok and then suddenly cuz of that I'm not and then I get snappish and it just gets worse from there... BUT IT'S AWESOME HOW HAVE I WAITED SO LONG TO READ THIS IT'S BEEN ON MY LIST FOREVER AND I NEVER ONCE CHECKED IF THE LIBRARY HAS IT AHHHHHH

sorry

*ahem*

moving on!

YESS KATE DICAMILLO SO MANY AMAZING STYLES!!! I love Flora and Ulysses (Terrible Things Can Happen To You!) and Raymie Nightingale (not to mention Louisiana's Way Home and Beverly, Right Here, I have the ones with the covers of the faces and the artwork is also just so beautiful and lovely), and of course I think Because of Winn-Dixie is a classic (??), and the Magician's Elephant I remember was pretty cool, but ooh I also love The Tale of Desperaux, the narrator talking to you is a nice touch! It's been a while since I've read any of them except for Flora and Ulysees though (I mean... it's so funny and pessimistic (or cynical?) and blunt and poignant... how could I not reread it with it staring out at me from the shelf like that?!) so my opinions right now may not be that accurate and I'm most definitely missing the things I like most out of the books I mentioned... but as for favorites... Flora and Ulysees of course. Maybe Louisiana's Way Home and A Tale of Desperaux? I remember REALLY loving those ones! really anything Kate DiCamillo is splendid! :)
