Would you survive

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

Would you survive

Would you survive a ski lodge in real life? Are you clever, inconspicuous, and lucky enough to find out who the murderer is before you are murdered? Take this short quiz and find out!

(FYI a ski lodge is an activity on the CB where someone, usually under an alias, writes a story where the CBers in it are murdered one at a time and those who remain guess who killed them.)

Read carefully and answer honestly; your life depends on it!

1. You flip a coin. How likely is it to be in your favor?

a. I usually win these sorts of things

b. I usually lose these sorts of things

c. Six of one, half dozen of the other

d. I don't really keep track of these things

2. You're stranded on top of a church tower. The door down is locked and it's getting dark. There is a house nearby, but you recently stole something from its owner. What do you do? (bonus points if you know where this came from!)

a. I go to sleep. Someone will find me in the morning.

b. I scream for help. Maybe I can talk my way out of the theft.

c. I try to find a way to climb down.

d. I cry.

3. You're playing mafia/murder in the dark/body-body/another such game (games where one person is the "murderer" and has to be guessed). What do you act like?

b. I stay out of the way and watch everyone else.

c. I act nervously and seem guilty whether I am or not.

d. I'm usually the first one killed.

4. Continuing on that scenario, let's say the murderer has been determined by drawing randomly from a deck of cards, and you have a moment alonew ith your best friend before the game. You are not the murderer. What do you do?

a. I show them my card

b. I ask to see their card

c. I make a show of hiding my card

d. I talk about something different

6. You're at an exclusive preview of a carnival with some friends. What are you looking forward to?

a. Exploring a new place

b. Having fun

c. Getting to know my friends

d. Getting out alive

6. Continuing on the same scenario, while you're off doing something else, one of your friends dies suddenly. It seems likely to have been a murder, but the only people who could have killed them are the rest of your friends. What do you do?

a. I try to be like Sherlock Holmes and examine all the evidence

b. I cry profusely

c. I mourn their loss, but it was probably just an accident.

d. I slink into the shadows...

7. After someone else dies in that same scenario, everyone else starts suspecting that YOU did it! What do you do?

a. I'm shocked

b. I act mildly surprised and tell them there must be some mistake

c. I try desperately to talk my way out of it and prove my innocence

d. I cry

8. How do you trust people?

a. If they act trustworthy

b. If they can keep a secret

c. If they're my friends

d. I don't

9. What type of murder would scare you the most?

d. Who would want to murder me of all people?

I will tell you how long you survive a ski lodge in real life!

You are brave, astute and sociable, but don't always take things seriously or pay enough attention. One beautiful spring day you are out in a garden, soaking in the sunshine and watching some ducklings on the lake (despite common representations, none are very ugly). You don't notice a plant growing behind you at an incredible speed. As it turns out, the plant is a giant (and very hungry!) Venus fly trap. You survive one day.

You are brave, a great friend, and good at thinking on your feet, but not always cautious and patient. You survive two days.

Oops, I forgot the story! You were killed in a curious incident involving a music box and a rubber boot.

You are intelligent and very cautious. The murderer cannot seem to trick you or just overlooks you, but finally will not stand for this. However, when walking outside after an unexpected snowfall, a giant snowball rolls down a hill and squashes you flat! The murderer is proud... but their arms are very tired.

But surprise, surprise; you last eleven days (but you almost survived until the end so good for you!).

I'm new at CB so I don't know what a "ski lodge" is, But i'll try the quiz anyway. Does anyone know what book my namesake (Myles Falwourth) is from? I'm a lot like him.

It's basically a murder mystery which you "sign up" for, and the person writing it uses the people who have signed up as the characters.

Also, welcome to the CB!

Hello, Myles! Nice meeting you. As elementgirl said, a ski lodge is like a murder mystery where someone dies every day.

And congratulations! You are very cautious, smart, and attentive, making you one of very few people to survive to the end (in fact, only one other person has gotten that far as of right now!)
