Um, don't kick me off the website or anything, please, but can I ask why it matters whether sience or God made the world? We're here now. Why do we need to know how we got here?  *is sure that's a totally stupid question* *realizes she is doing the TNO thing again*  *hides under her desk* Embarassed

We're here now, but the thing is, depending on what you believe, what will happen to you after you die?  I'm not going to start an argument about that, though, because that will get me kicked off the site... :):)

Maybe it's both. Maybe God created science.

Well, He did create science... and the world.

I believe in God. I am not going to try MAKE anyone else believe in God, but my theory is that if there are other life forms--which, besides bacteria, I highly doubt--don't you think God would have mentioned them in the Bible?

Emily L., I love your arguments and will go to your creationist lectures when we are older!

I have a good argument, but if you believe in God it won't matter.  So please, just for once, think like an Evolutionist!  Please!

The life on earth all came from microbes, amoebas, etc.  We evolved so we could live better in different environments.  It took a LOOOONG TIIIMME, but it still happened.  If this happened on earth, why couldn't it happen anywhere else?  Why couldn't there be life forms more advanced than bacteria?

I agree with you. Okay, so if you're saying that God is just THERE, why do we not have firm proof?

I definitely believe in other life forms, but it sorta scares me when I think about it. So what if the earth is REALLY just the size of a speck of dust that is sitting in the ground on some other huge planet in another dimension-thingy? And that place is just so tiny compared to something else....

So humans think that we are just SOOOO advanced in technology, but we seriously don't matter if you think about the possible multiple universes that exist??? No, not really.

And like Calvin so eloquently put it, we are just a tiny particle of a particle in a grain of sand on an endless beach...........   Run inside and turn on all the lights!

I think that's what he said but I'm not quite sure.     If you don't know what I'm talking about, you need to read comics more, like Calvin and HobbesSmile

Bellatrix,

Think about what you're saying. Do you honestly think that the universe just kind of "happened"? You don't think anyone even had a hand in it? Who made the big bang happen? Who made that tiny little cell that the world came from?? LOOK AROUND YOU! You're saying this is just a "coincidence"?? I don't a bunch of scientific theories- I have eyes. It might be time you opened yours to the beauty around you.

I think there was probably a universe before this one.  Something happened, like the "Big Crunch", and the new universe was reborn.  Nothing was ever suddenly created: it always was.  Just made newer.

As for the beauty of nature, why couldn't it just have been?  Why did it have to be made?

Sorry if that was sort of mean. :) I think it had to be made because of the complexity of nature. If it had just been wouldn't it be more simple? And you said you find it hard to believe in God, because we believe that he is eternal, that he always was. But you're saying that you think the universe may have always been. Maybe it's not so hard to believe there is an eternal God after all...

Bella (for short!! : ) ),

Read Mary Jo's really skinny post below if you haven't already. You see, evolutionists aren't the only ones who have science "on their side." You should really look into these things.

But why would there be only one God, and why would he be a MAN, not a woman or an animal, and if animals are on the planet solely for the use of humans, why do they experience pain and suffering?  Why do chimps have feelings, if they were made only for human use?
