Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Hi, kids. I'm

Hi, kids. I'm bored, tired, and interested in seeing what you guys are up to.

Who is here? What are your interests? What are the things concerning you in this day and age?

Thanks for responding.

I'll recommend you some books! What genres do you like?

Are you okay with a romance?

I like science fiction and fantasy best, but anything can be quite good if it's written well. Romance isn't my favorite, but it doesn't make a book bad unless it's written poorly.

Hi again! Here's the list. Sorry for the romance, but they are really good books anyway.

~~~Fantasy~~~
The Secrets of Nicholas Flamel By Michael Scott
Between the Lines By Jodi Picoult and Samantha VanLeer (romance)
~~~Historical Fantasy (I know you didn't put this down, but these books are really good)~~~

The Glass Sentance

The Apothacary by Malie Meloy (some romance, but not so much that the entire plot is based around it)

~~~Sci-fi/Dystopian~~~
Legend By Marie Lu(Romance)
The Giver by Lois Lowry
Hope you like them!
I used to hate The Giver, but now I don't mind it. I've heard of some of these books before. I'll check them out next time I go to a library or book store. Thanks, Bibliophile!
Sorry. I am new here, and I have no idea who you are. I am assuming you were on CB many years ago and came back and now you're like a teenager or an adult now? And now you use less exclamtion points?
At first I thought you were an Admin posting something.
Thank you very much for your comment. You spawned a really, really amusing conversation in a chat with some other CBers. I haven't had such a good time in months.
I've been on and off again the CB for the last year or so. I'm sixteen. I don't think I used many exclamation points to begin with, but you're quite right, there aren't any in that post.
So I'm here to see what the CB is like. Tell me a bit about yourself. (That doesn't sound creepy at all.) What's new around here these days? I look forward to getting to know you for a bit.
Oh, hi! I'm H.A.B.
Nothing exciting ever seems to happen in my life. As for my interests, I like songwriting, swimming, and animation, although currently I suck at the last one. Practice makes perfect, I suppose.
I don't really know what else to write, so here's a coded message for you to solve. It should translate to a three letter word if you solve it right. "18-7-2: 99, 111, 119"
P.S. Aren't you like eighteen now?
Long time no see! How's your sister doing?
Wow! Those are all cool things. What style of animation do you do? Do you ever animate music videos for your songs?
Ahhh it's too late for codes. My brain was already put away for the day. rgb: 99 111 119 That's a greyish color. 636F77 Oh, speaking of hard puzzles involving hex, you should check out a set of Youtube Videos called Kaizo Trap. There's a puzzle within the first video that will lead you to the next. It's a lot of work, but it's very fun. Good luck. If you get stuck, I can give you help.
The answer is cow, right?
No, you guys all keep making me out to be a lot older than I really am. I'm barely sixteen and a half, not eighty-five or something like that.
1. Sister? What sister?
2. Yes, the answer is cow. Wow, and you solved it at 1 in the morning, too.
3. Well... I said I liked animation. I didn't necessarily say I was any good at it or that I had picked a style yet. I plan to keep working on it, though.
4. I will check out the Kaizo Trap; it sounds right up my alley (isn't that a weird expression?).
5. No, I've never animated a music video. See #3. Although that's a good idea. I'd need to get someone else to sing them, though, because my voice is atrocious. I haven't even hit puberty yet.
Nice talking to ya.
1. Oh geez, sorry. I confused you with John FQ. Yeah, I remember who you are now. Never mind the sister bit.
2. I'm two hours behind Cricket, so it was only eleven. The website just posts Cricket time.
3. I meant, at least, do you do traditional or computer? (2D or 3D?)
4. That is a weird one.  According to Google, it's some nonsense from the 1930s.
5. Sing like a dying badger and people will pay you to stop.
It's nice speaking to you, too.
Ohh. Yeah, I do digital, but they're still 2D. I don't use Blender or something like that, I just draw them out (or try to).
Hi Ruby! Lately, I've been reading Percy Jackson for the 15,0000th time when I am supposed to be doing my school work, messing with my broken iPod charger plug (one of these days I'm going to get electrocuted), and trying to convice my brothers that an epic wizard battle is just what we need for a show we are making. So really... I haven't been doing much. Right now, I'm trying to condense a four page report into a three minute presentation (A.K.A. I'm reading Percy Jackson and wondering what a condensed report would look like).
Hi!  I don't know you.  I should be doing homework right now.
Bye.
I feel the exact same way! This is some deja vu right here.
What's your homework about? I am lucky enough to have a lengthy paper on the Parsley Massacre, a small genocide in the 1930s in Hispanolia. I have not managed to spell parsely right once in the paper. It's my grandest accomplishment.
Hello, Rose bud! I don't know what you're making, but I agre; you definitely need an epic wizard battle.
For your report, try summarizing the main points of it, and add in only the most crucial details. Also consider that you'll likely speak a bit faster out of nerves, so you can afford a few extra seconds over three minutes during your practice. Good luck!
