Dreams.....

Okay, this is weird, but have you ever had

any really weird dreams? Like, once I had

this dream that a white monster behind our

couch was eatting our cat..... I'm not making

that up, really. Alot of the ones I remember

are the creepier ones, and I've had many of

them ;D Anyway, I wanted to know what some

of your weirdest dreams are....And no, this is

not a randomness thread :D

Weird dreams? DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get me started. I am THE MASTER of weird dreams. Volcanos erupting in slow-mo, puddles of green poison, oral reports about monkeys, snakes, hamsters, our stairs turning into a waterfall, books I've read mixed in bizarre proportions, EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN I can dream about. It's scary. Sometimes. :D But my brother can do "lucid dreaming" which is where you realize you're in a dream and can control what happens. I can't do that. :( Anywho, sometime I'll post my dreams.... but not now.

Yah, my dad told me about 'lucid dreaming' one time because I had been having really bad dreams for days and I would cry if I had to go to bed, I was so scared.

I never could do it, and thought it was impossible, until one time, I was dreaming I was in the old west, and there was a huge tornado coming.  Well, everyone around me was panicking and running for cover, but I said to myself, "You know what, this is a dream, and I refuse to be scared"  And I was fine!  I calmly walked into the general store that everyone else was in (most of it was underground, you know, like a basement, where most of it's underground except for like a foot at the top)  And then I woke up.  As calm and happy as can be.  I was very proud of myself.  :)

More later....

So that's what you call it when you know you're dreaming! I sometimes get that, and I sometimes try to wake up by opening my eyes... it doesn't work, and if it does anything I get this aggravating feeling as if my eyes were really heavy, and it was really hard to breathe. It's... scary.

Oh I can do Lucid Dreaming. But it's only like if I wake up in the morning in the middle of a really great dream and want to see what happens next. So I just kind of start imagining and go back to sleep. :)

OK this is weird: It came from my journal. I was probably like 9 or 10 when I wrote it:

Last night I had a dream that I was in a big pool with cement walls. Along the wall was a shelf with crocs filled with taco stuff.

I don't remember that dream, OR writing it down, but yeah. :)!! I also have this one which I barely remember now:
It's' some magical land and their king has died leaving no heir, so they are in need of a king. There's this teenage boy who lives in a poor family, and somehow knows he is the true king (don't ask me how! Dreams make sense when you're dreaming and when you wake up you're like - wait, what?!) so his kind mother helps him prepare to ride to the capitol. Meanwhile (this dream switches back and forth) Aurther, from the TV show has his hands on some magical hoops (?  :) ) and he's on a deck by the beach with Buster when suddenly Buster throws them into the ocean for no aparent reason. (?) Hee hee, anyway, down below Aurther's grandma is walking pal down the ocean. That's basically all I can remember. Oh yeah, and even that teenage boy looks like an Aurther cartoon character. :)

I can't think of any other weird ones right now.

Haha! XD This isn't dream related whatsoever,

but when I was like five or six I had a crush on

Arthur... Don't ask, I had alot of crushes on

cartoon characters when I was little... o.O

Wow. Once I had a dream that there were dinosaurs in the mall. That was interesting because once there really were anamatronic dinosaurs in a mall I went to. They rented them or something. I have had some bizzare dreams. Dancing potatoes... not kidding.

Haha! Those are funny:D And, @ Emily H.,

I think I understand lucid dreaming a little

bit. Like, I've had dreams before where

something's chasing you, but you still know

that you're dreaming and try to wake yourself

up before it gets you... I've had those dreams

many times... Most of my lucid dreams are

unpleasant like that :\

Ok, I have a weird dream to top all weird dreams:

So, I'm walking in the arctic, in my soccer uniform, with my soccer team. We come to a highway at the north pole. We decide to follow the highway (wow, genius stroke :D) and come to this place that looks like Angel Falls with a rainbow over the top and a hut floating over the middle with a bridge leading out to it. We decide to go out to the hut (wow, another genius stroke *not*) It turns out that this Asian couple live out there, and there is a library attatched to the hut. With all of our added weight, the hut starts to sink down towards the bottom of the waterfall, and we have to cut off the library so we won't die. i cry, because the library was full of my favorite books. Anyhoo, then the floor falls off and we all have to monkey bar across the rafters on the ceiling so that we can get back to the bridge and run across it before the hut collapses completely behind us. After we get off the bridge, we are suddenly back in the Arctic. A robotic dog jumps out of one of my team-mates bags, and starts following a trail of dog treats that have been laid out by a villian along the north pole highway. We stop the dog, so the villian starts chasing us, and we are rescued in the nick of time by my Lego Robitics coach driving a flying wave turbine.

I told you it was weird, didn't I? Beat that...

Is that a challenge, my dear Koffee?

One time I dreamed that I was in the computer game Nanosaur* (I love that game. So much), after the lava flows. I was running around trying to avoid the stampeding dinosaurs trying to kill me, only I was in trouble because my jetpack was out of fuel, so I decided to hide from a particularly determined tyrannosaur in a thick clump of jungle. There I found these cat-sized, pink-and-turquoise hippogriffs, which telepathically informed me that they had something I needed. I followed them to their nests and they gave me a cherry bomb, on condition that I took one of them with me on my journey. So I took the cherry bomb and one of the mini-hippogriffs, and then escaped from Nanosaur-land using the cherry bomb into what appeared to be a jungle-themed platform game.

In the platform game we came across a river, and found Winnie the Pooh sitting on a log. Pooh offered to take me and the mini-hippogriff across the river if we promised to help him escape an evil Tigger from an alternate universe. So we dropped evil!Tigger in a pit of quicksand and Pooh helped us float the river, at which point we won the platform game and were teleported to a special room with a Wise Old Man.

The Wise Old Man told me that the mini-hippogriffs could help me survive in quicksand, allowing me to teleport between game-verses. Then Pooh stayed behind to eat honey while the mini-hippogriff and I teleported (via quicksand) to a thick, 3d CG looking jungle. We heard chopping sounds and found out that we were being pursued by strange men in dark clothing who had machetes, so we teleported to an old car lot and stole an enormous SUV with tires as tall as me and blacked-out windows. And also a machine gun mounted on the back. So then we teleported back to the 3d CG jungle and started running away from the men in black.

They chased us to an old house that looked an awful lot like the house in the Nancy Drew game Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake. We jumped out of the giant SUV and ran up the stairs, closely pursued by the men in black. We reached the attic, and the mini-hippogriff suddenly transformed into a porcelain doll with blue eyes, blonde hair, and a teal dress. Then I jumped into another quicksand portal with the doll just as the men in black were bursting into the room. They tried to follow me but they suffocated in the quicksand.

I then appeared in my grandmother's bedroom, and presented her with the porcelain doll. The mini-hippogriffs and the Wise Old Man suddenly appeared after my grandmother left the room with the doll, and they told me that I had done well in smuggling the doll into the Real World, and that as a reward they would give me a mini-hippogriff pet to aide me in battle, and also a porcupine and a helicopter.

And then I woke up.

*For those who don't know, Nanosaur is an old Mac computer game. In the year 4000, humans cloned a race of dinosaur- the Nanosaur- and then died out. The Nanosaurs then sent a single member of their race back in time to approximately 1 hour before the meteor hit and caused mass extinction amongst the dinosaurs. The Nanosaur's mission was to find five eggs of different species (tyrannosaur, pterodactyl, triceratops, dilophosaurus, and stegosaurus, I believe) before time runs out and the meteor hits. The Nanosaur was equipped with a jetpack requiring frequent fuel-ups, plus a gun. In-game you had to find the eggs, pick them up, carry them to the nearest portal while avoiding  angry dinosaurs who didn't want you to take their eggs, and beam them back to the year 4000.

Ok. I'm impressed. And what would the Wise Old Man be a reference to? RS, possibly?
