Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Dreams.....&

Dreams.....

Okay, this is weird, but have you ever had

any really weird dreams? Like, once I had

this dream that a white monster behind our

couch was eatting our cat..... I'm not making

that up, really. Alot of the ones I remember

are the creepier ones, and I've had many of

them ;D Anyway, I wanted to know what some

of your weirdest dreams are....And no, this is

not a randomness thread :D

Yeah, sorry, really long....:):):) Once, when I KNOW I wasn't sleeping, but was in bed at night, I heard--as in really HEARD--a little kid--or maybe the creepy voice a computer has--whispering in a really creepy, "Excorsist" sort of voice "warning." It was so scary that I jerked up in bed and was looking around my room for the little girl who said it. The voice had seemed to be right by my right ear....

On the long-ago subject of sleep-walking, apparently once I got out of bed and stood in the hall. My mom says she asked me if I needed something, and I said "no," and she said "do you want to go back to sleep?" Or something, and I said "yes," and turned around and got back into bed. I remember none of this. It has also been reported that I talk in my sleep, though not as bad as my brother, who chatters like bird at night. :):):) I've got a dream or two up my sleeve that would give all you guys nightmares, but I think I'll spare you. Let's just say, any mention of hyenas now gives me the shivers. Oh, and I dreamt about you guys once, too! I organized a meeting place at a hotel where we'd all stay overnight. But I was really disappointed, because all the kids who came weren't the chatterboxers I knew! Oh well.

Yeah, I had one of those. I was at my Aunt and Uncle's, and this was right about the time Google Earth came out. We spent nearly the whole day on it, looking at famous sites. When I went to bed, I floated up, in my bed. There was somethin like a trail behind me, with previous me's shapes hanging there. I flew around the world, and the zoomed in at the Forbidden Palace in Beijing.

WOW.

Did you, by any chance, happy to read The Game by DWJ just before bed, or something???  Parts of that really reminded me of the mythosphere (spelling??).  Cool freaky dream!!!!

How many DWJ books have you read, Laura? On the book club I heard--er, saw--you say that you'd read "Howl's Moving Castle." I love that book!!! Have you read "Dark Lord of Derkholm," or its sequel, "Year of the Griffin?" Though I love the books with Howl and Sophie, "Dark Lord" is my all-time favorite! ((Sorry, this isn't on the subject of dreams :):):) )) Anyway, yes, Pirock's dream did sound a lot like the mythosphere!

Erm... well, I only started reading DWJ books a couple of years ago.  I LOVE HER BOOKS!!!!  But unfortunately, I've only read the three "Howl and Sophie"  books, and The Game, though I'm planning on reading as many of them as I can!!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

She's my brother's favorite author, he's the one that got me started on them!!  :)

Yes, I've had dreams like that before. It's like

your mind makes you think one thing is

something else. A few nights ago, for example,

it looked like a hand was reaching up the side of

my bed, but I knew it wasn't a hand. So then I

touched it and realized that my covers were just

bunched up. And sometimes, when you've been

around something all day long, you see it in your

mind when you close your eyes. Like if you've been

at an amusement park all day, you might see a

roller coaster in your  mind (well, that happens to

me anyway). Tell me if I'm making any sense at all

;D

If I swing for a while after not swinging all winter, when I go to bed and close my eyes, I feel like I'm swinging again.  :)

Alot of my dreams make such little sense

that it's hard to even explain them to you.

I mean, many of them don't even tell the

wacky stories that your's do. For example,

last night I had this dream with a red headed

girl in it. I actually saw the girl before, but only

one time at an amusement park! And I only

remembered her because she thought I was

someone she knew... Anyway, in the dream, I

was looking at these pictures, and the girl was

getting pictures taken of her, most of which were in

black and white. Infact, at one point it seemed

like the whole dream was in black and white!

Anyway, my grandma was in it, too. And then

it was like we (as in the girl, my mom, and me)

were in a Hallmark store, and the girl was

setting down on the floor with her legs crossed

Indian style. And then we were saying something

about the army, which was very strange. Then,

very abruply, something happened and we were

digging a hole to get out... And then I woke up...

o.O

Most of my dreams are disjointed like that. First you're here, and then you're somwhere else, and then something is either there or it isn't, you're not sure which. Or people turn into other people, my mom is suddenly my grandma or something like that.

Oh yah, I just recently had a dream where my cat was a little toy, and then he was real, and then he was a toy again, and then he was real, and my (hee hee) EVIL neighbors squashed him, and then he shrank, and looked kinda like a squashed salamander, and then he turned into felt, and my mom said she would make me a new one because this felt one was 'dead'... I can't really remember the details... complicated.  But when I woke up I just had to find JoJo (my kitty) to make sure he was ok.

But yah, I have dreams all the time where things are one thing, and then they change, and it's perfectly normal.

Like one time (sorry, I'm probably boring you) there was this woman lying on a bed that looked like something from Africa (the bed) and she was coughing up blood (I think she had TB) and then just as she was about to die, she turned into my dad, and then he died and vanished, and I felt empty.  I couldn't cry, I couldn't move, or eat or do anything, except feel this horrible emptiness.  I woke up crying and hopped out of bed and padded down the hall and peeked into my parent's room and watched him for a bit to make sure he was all right.  It was awful.

Anyway!  It's odd the way things change in dreams, isn't it?

Wow. I know what you mean. And I've

had lots of dreams like that, where something

bad (and most of the time very weird, as well...)

happens to your family members or pets in a

dream, and when you wake up you're in a hurry

to make sure they're all right. Not fun...

You asked for it...

DREAM #1- A talking tornado came to our house and told us he would wait until 2 o clock to destroy our house and me and my brother were freaking out and my dad just wanted us to do our schoolwork... so we were trying to flush ourselves down the touilets so we could get out of the house but we couldn't fit. Finally 2 o clock came and heres what happened. The tornado turned into a boy and walked into our house! I know CRAZY!

DREAM #2- So I had my best friend over and we were going to bring her back home but she had to pee first. SO me and my dad went out to the car to wait for her and she was taking forever so my dad went in to see if she was ok and when he came back out he was holding her and she was all hairy. When I asked my dad what happened he said that he pee had sizzled. WEIRD!

DREAM #3- I woke up in the middle of the night and went downstairs to see what the noise was and I saw three pigs in jail costumes stealing our stuff.

I am NOT I repeat NOT making these up!
