I do not think that eating meat is wrong in itself, but I hate the way animals raised for meat are treated. I'm not a full vegetarian but I try to limit the amount of meat I eat for three reasons

1. It's healthier for you

2. Animals raised for meat are treated horribly

3. It's better for the world in general

4. I also don't really even like the way meat tastes anyways

I can't become a full vegetarian because my parents wouldn't let me and I don't know how I would get enough protein. But I try to cut back. When my family eats hamburgers, I eat a vegetarian black bean burger. Things like that are small, but I try to do my part to end animal cruelty. I mean, think about it, if we could stop people from buying meat from places that torture the animals then those places would have to go out of bussiness eventually.

I know you don't mean harm, but by trying to eliminate the factory farms that way you are really getting rid of all the small farms and making the factory farms even bigger.

I try to only eat farmer's market meat, which is free-range, and what my family buys. So, when I eat out I'm a vegetarian, and if I have to, I eat fish, which is usually wild caught.

That's actually pretty cool, Applejaguar. I like that way. Though I'm not changing my eating habits right now...

Thanks! The thing is, I really like meat and other savory things, so I don't eat out that much XD. So it's not as dramatic as it sounds.

Still, you eat all free-range.

I eat vegetarian as much as I can, it can be hard though since I’m the only one trying in my family. I have to say I like veggies a lot better then meat, in my apenion meat dosnt have a bunch of flavor. One thing I don’t like about some restaurants is that in there vegetarian menu they have fish which my personal apenion is that fish is not vegetarian, as to fish are just as alive as other animals (I am not saying that people who are vegetarian and eat fish are wrong it is just me personally). I absolutely DO NOT eat meat out at restaurants, because I've heard that the animals it comes from are treated HORRIBLY!!!! On a long drive I kept seeing this truck (one of the big ones) and the back was packed full of PIGLETS!!! They barely had ANY room!!! And people kept stopping and TAKING PICTURES cuz they thought it was CUTE!!!! That made me REALLY ANGRY!!! I’ll stop rambling on now...

I love what you guys are doing by being vegetarian, but I'm not sure I could do it, if I did something I would probably be a pescatarian

Being a pescatarian might be hard for a week, but afterwards, you get used to it, and eventually you don’t want red meat anymore (it was that way for me at least).

I think that eating meat is fine as long as the animal was happy and healthy during its life. Interesting fact: plants can feel pain! My point is that we've gotta eat something, and that something has to be organic matter. And we have to kill somthing to eat it.
