I think I know this one Soren, he's a lighthouse keeper and he forgot to turn on the beacon, so ships couldn't see the lighthouse and crash-landed.

Oh, by the way, the one (maybe two?) answer to my riddle were . . . well . . . wrong! I hope everyone knows PEMDAS. Now, 1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1*0+1 is actually 9, because if you group the 1*0, you get zero, and there are nine other ones! (I just wanted to give the long winded explanation)
