I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. Any random thought you have, any random thing that happens to you, any random question that pops into your mind. Have fun, and don’t be afraid to be random.

@Everyone, here's the link to where Vyolette posted the instructions, on the thread where she's posting a book she's writing. (I haven't read it, I just clicked on it to see what it was and saw the linking thing.) She said you should use the Mail application, but I think you can do the trick on anything, like Google Docs, the TextEdit app, or whatever. As long as you can highlight a word and have "link" pop up as an option.

Well, I usually right click on something, "Rules" for example, and click "Copy link"; then I go to "Submit Comment" and right click and choose "Paste"; then it appears. Like this:

Okay, I haven't really been on this thread before, but I needed a place to rant, so now I'm going to rant about Adobe Illustrator. Consider yourself warned.
So I'm working on this project that's kind of complicated and I had it all finished and ready to be submitted to be laser cut and then I realized I had overlooked a major design flaw. So I'm like, okay, deep breaths, I can fix this, and I thought it through and came up with a solution and reversed the thing and then, and THEN, I realized that part of it was backwards. Part, but not all, so I couldn't just 'reflect' the whole thing. And that part in the middle was attached to everything else because I used the 'compound shape' tool to make them go together into one piece and you can't un-compound-shape.
So that's the first thing I hate about Illustrator: you can't un-compound-shape. That was the reason I had to redo my entire project which had taken me an hour or more to make in the first place.
And I went back to the project the next day (today) and started to work on fixing it and I came across the other thing I hate about Illustrator. See, I needed to line up some of the shapes with pieces of the compound shapes in order to redo it because I'd measured it very precisely in the first place and I didn't have the physical thing I was measuring off of (it's at school, and I'm at home). And, you know how there are always these guidelines? They're supposed to help you line up your things, but they aren't very smart and they don't know where I'm trying to line up my thing so they're completely useless.
That's the second thing I hate about Illustrator: they have all of the guidelines except the ones I need.
But I got the shapes in place and moved on to the next piece, which involves a lot of long, skinny rectangles. The icons (stretch and spin and grow and things like that) on the skinny ends of the rectangles are really close together, so I kept trying to click on one and accidentally selecting the other.
That's the third thing I hate about Illustrator: there are too many icons getting in each others' ways!

Does anyone else like soft pretzels? There is actually soft pretzel bite that is about half the size of my fist, and I'm twelve. It's delicious, and just overall great. Try it some time!

So I found Owlgirl's Island Paradise Resort Ski Lodge (here, hopefully), and I reread the entire thing (I was never in it, but it's probably the best ski lodge I've ever read), and guess what? She never finished it! So I was wondering if anyone knows anything about where Owlgirl went or if she's still around... I feel like I haven't seen her in a while, but I think she had a post of some sort about leaving or something?
This thread might not be the best place to post this, but I wasn't sure where else to put it. So... yeah!
