I wasn’t really sure what to call this thread, but I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for awhile now. Basically, anyone can post anything here. @Admins, I was curious about whether we're allowed to discuss TV shows and stuff like that. A comment of mine talking about a show I like got censored and I figured that it was, like, cause you can't know whether it's necessarily CB-appropriate, which makes sense. I have seen discussions about other shows/videographers/movies, though, is there any kind of guideline on this? Or is it just a case by case basis?
When a TV show is mentioned (or movie), we usually check the parental guidance rating and use that to see if discussion is appropriate. We also aim to avoid mention of any sites which allow access to in appropriate pages.

Anybody like ants? Or bugs in general? This is a pile of queen ants.
The ants around where I live are in the process of heading out to start new colonies. Today I found over 20 queens and am keeping a few to start an ant colony of my own!

My first instinct was to recoil slightly, but that’s actually really cool! I think it’s really neat that you’re starting your own colony. Ants are such interesting creatures.
I do like insects, usually. I find them really interesting and cool. It’s sad to me that most people just think they’re gross because that’s what they were taught, and want to kill them (often for no good reason) instead of really learning about them. Personally, when I find non-harmful bugs in the house (such as moths, stink bugs, slugs [okay I know they’re mollusks technically but still :P], some spiders) I try to relocate them outside instead of just killing them. So I’m glad someone else out there appreciates them!

Does anybody else have the sacred excuse not to do anything ‘I have a cat on my lap’ at their house? Or is it just me?

Yes! I use that all time. We always say our cats are terrible for productivity since they’ll just curl up and sleep on you. One does not simply get up whilst a cat is trying to sleep! XD

we would do that at our house, except our cats live in the barn. Instead, what i say is:
"I have a baby on my lap! He'll freak out if i put him down! Here, you take him."
