American Idol!

American Idol!

So who watches this? This year I've really been getting into it with my dad. I think the contestants have been fantastic with the exception of a few. (at least much better than Chris Allen and Lee Dewyze, past winners) The 16-year-old girl, Lauren, who's on the show now, lives within about 45 minutes of us, and my dad said that if she gets into the top three, we might go see her sing! (since whoever gets into the top three goes back to their home town and performs before the finale) I'm so excited!! It's all over our newspaper. So, favorites? Least favorites?

!!!!!!! I LOVE AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!!!!  Hehe sorry about that :)  My favorite singer is Scotty Mccreery and I also sort of like Lauren. I also was (and still am) obsessed with John Wayne Schulz the cowboy but he was voted off a while ago... :P  Meanies :)

{Oh sorry about that being a little crazy I'm reallly hyper right now..}

Oh, yeah, I've been watching American Idol for a couple years.  I think Lauren is a great singer, this is true.  But, honestly, she's extremely ignorant.  Everytime she speaks I can't help but laugh because she either can't form a sentence or nothing comes out.  But I did just go to a store and saw the exact dress she wore one night and the lady working there said that was true, that Lauren bought that exact dress!

Hm, well, I like Haley.  Very glad Jacob left.  I adored Stephano.  Sooooo cute, and an older friend of mine was in a choir group with him!

I LOVE AI! I have to catch up with this week though! My top two are Scotty and Lauren. The judges made a huge mistake by saving Casey. I don't really like James or his style (though he sang well... once?) I'm kind of sad Jacob left but he was getting a little boring. I was raving when Pia left!

@ Robyn--I agree that Lauren does seem like a giggly teenager (well, she is only a sophmore in high school)...but if you mean ignorant as in dumb, there I don't so much agree. Maybe she's inarticulate, but not stupid. And don't let the fact that she's from the South infulence your opinion of her!

(Don't worry, I'm not blaming you, I'm just speaking in general.) It just seems like a lot of people tend to take Southerners as a bunch of uneducated bumpkins who don't speak proper English. Maybe some of them don't (and hey, it's like that in other parts of the country anyway!), but seriously, stereotyping is mean!

Oh, and that's cool that your friend knew Stephano!

@MJ: Oh, no, I would never!!  I actually think her accent is cute. ;)  It's just that in the beginning of this season, everytime she was asked a question, she either completely ignored it or answered back something ignorant. Yes, she is young, but I would never answer like that, and I get stagefright and can't speak and all of that.  Towards the end of this season, though, she's started to make sense, which makes me believe she's reading off of cards, but I'm sure others are doing that too so I'm not blaming her. :)

On another note: Was James leaving a good choice?  Hm, well, he was very good but not my type of music so I don't really mind.  I want Haley to win!  She did AMAZING on Wednesday!  She has the most unique voice!

@Elizabeth M: Just wondering, you can watch AI in Germany?  Can you VOTE from Germany?  That would be completely appalling.  Just because it can't be AMERICAN Idol, if other countries are voting!  Really?  I loved Casey and was sad when he finally left!  He may not have been the best looking (but it's shallow to vote on that alone) but he had a great sense of humor and a nice, different voice.  That one duet with Haley and him was outstanding!

Hm, the admins deleted the a part of my comment, where I mentioned what Lauren had said (not sure why.......) but it just was a pretty unladylike comment.  But, MJ, trust me, I don't judge people based on where they live.  Heck, you live down there and seem very smart. :)  I wish we lived in the same state because I'd love to get to know you/ meet you. ;)

Yes, there are certain words I won't post, no matter who said them.

@R~D~: I lovee the Moanin' duet and I was really sad when Casey left. Also when Pia left. Oh, and I don't think you can vote here in Canada unless you're with AT&T?... So you probably can't vote in Germany.

The finale's coming! I hope Hailee will win. She has the most unique voice and I find Scotty and Lauren... Boring-ish. But that's just my opinion.

@Olive: I agree with everything you said!  I thought Pia was going to win the whole thing.

@Admin: It's totally fine!  I typically never use that word, so I'm not offended. ;)

@RD-- Casey was just OK for me. You're right, though! The duet was amaazing. I watch the videos on YouTube but I can't vote.

@Olive-- I like Haily, too. But sometimes her performance isn't that... Great?

I almost died on the spot when Pia left! She was the most talented of the whole group. I can't stand the mentor guy named Bill or Bob or something. His "advice" is awful!

@Elizabeth: I know!  At first, I was like, okay, this mentor is better than having untalented people like Miley Cyrus come in and "help" each person, but now he's getting pretty annoying.  Oh, okay! (about voting from Germany). :)

Yeah! I mean, he told Casey to growl on one of the most famous NON GROWLING songs in the world. It sounded really weird when Casey "growled" and it was too forceful! He almost got voted off! Oh well. Bill/Bob/Bryan please go (and leave the growling).
