Chatterbox: Down to Earth

American Idol!

American Idol!

So who watches this? This year I've really been getting into it with my dad. I think the contestants have been fantastic with the exception of a few. (at least much better than Chris Allen and Lee Dewyze, past winners) The 16-year-old girl, Lauren, who's on the show now, lives within about 45 minutes of us, and my dad said that if she gets into the top three, we might go see her sing! (since whoever gets into the top three goes back to their home town and performs before the finale) I'm so excited!! It's all over our newspaper. So, favorites? Least favorites?

Is this Bill/Bob person supposed to be Jimmy Iovene, the producer guy from Interscope Records?

Anyways, I love Casey and was really sad when he left. For one thing, he can sing. Two, he's funny. Three, he's a musician. :P Four, he was the last person in the Top (Number here) that I actually liked. (My parents don't like Hailee so if I say I do...)

I hope Hailee wins.

Oh, Jimmy! That's his name! I liked Casey at first but then he just lost something... I loved his performance when he left! Do you think he liked Hailey?

okay, first of all, My fam and I are totally following AI and it is awesome and I'm so excited that you guys know about it too!! :D (Well duuuh, it is on national tv...XD)

Anyway, my favorite used to be Stephano, especially because he is from KENT, WA!!! And I live really close to there!!! And that is so cool and we were rooting for him a ton. And someone from my homeschool co-op knows him, too.  My co-op friends and I were all wanting him to get to the top three so he could do the homecoming thing to WA and we could go see him, but he got cut.

So now the top three is Haley, Scotty, and Lauren, and really they are all my favorites.

Scotty is quite awesome and totally rocks his country songs,    Lauren is awesome, and an awesome singer,      Haley is a great singer, and I looooove her voice!  Her voice and how she "growls" is so cool.

I think my favorit is Haley. But I have a feeling Lauren will win.

One last thing... I agree with everyone Haley and Casey's duet of Moanin' was seriously  amazing. I loved it.

One of my biggest cool things that I wish I could do is go to one of the shows THIS season, see Jennifer Lopez in person *excited scream!* And ya know how sometimes Ryan Seacrest has a kid or person say a short thing or asks them a question after a commercial break? I want to help him say, at the beginning of the show:

"This. Is A-merican Idol!!"

:D

Hailey, or however you spell her name, is getting quite annoying to me. She's an amazing singer, but she doesn't have much personality, imho. And if she won, I don't think she'd go that far. Maybe make a single and have in played on the radio once in a while, but not much. (maybe I'm wrong) Scotty seems to sound the same every week, but I love Lauren!! (ok, I'm a bit prejudiced since she lives in Georgia. Meanie me) She's so charismatic, is a good singer, can be a little bittty too giggly/happy, but otherwise is loverly. I cracked up when the coach told her she was better then Miley Cyrus when she sang The Climb. It's true. I need to make another television show thread on Hawaii Five-O. 'Tis epic.

Lauren should win. It doesn't seem like a lot of AIs go that far... Except Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry. I can't believe he left in that season! That weird Taylor dude who "grayed early" won. I mean who votes for him? He couldn't even sing? Does anyone agree? Oh and when Kris Allen won... UGH! Adam should have won!

@Elizabeth M: TOTALLY.  It was pretty obvious, to me, that Casey liked her. :)

@Emily J: I know!  We live about 30 minutes apart, and I've even played a couple soccer games in your town!  Isn't that weird? ;)  Stephano actually had a lovely voice, too.

@MJ: Well, everyone has different opinions. :)  But do you really think she'll go farther than Hailey?  I think Lauren has more of a chance of becoming another Miley or Britney and that'll be that.  I mean, look at the clothing she's already wearing! (sometimes Hailey's not much better, though).  OH- Okay, when everyone was video chatting with their families, she was talking to HER DOGS.  Yeah. Wow. If she wins though, I'll be okay with it, because she does have a nice voice.

But, MJ, weren't you proud of Scotty for "kissing his cross" when he had to rehearse with Lady Gaga?  I think I did a couple fist pumps for him. ;)  She disgusts me.

Anyway, I'm excited for tonight! :)

@Elizabeth M.: Yes! Adam should've won! (though I shouldn't really be saying anything because I didn't watch that season...) But Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson did/are doing pretty well. Jennifer Hudson was nominated for an Oscar I think. And a Grammy.

Can't see  R~D~'s comment right now.

Ok, who watched AI last night??? I was watching Haley's first performance and while she was walking back up the stage from the judges podium while singing, she tripped. Youch!!! I cringe every time I think about it. Nevertheless, she totally owned the show last night, in my opinion. Especially with that first song. She changed my mind, so I voted a couple times for her. (Because there's this intersting thing about Southerners having an advantage, so I think it's Haley we need to worry about)

@ Robyn--I never saw that thing with Scotty and his singing. That's cool, though! But it doesn't really have anything to do with his singing. I'm just judging him from a singing point of view.

@ Emily J--yes, Casey and Haley paired together make an incredible duet. To bad Casey had to leave. :(

@ R~D~: I know, I saw that when Lady Gaga was the mentor, that was super funny!  And when he said, "Lord, this is not my doin',"  we were like, right on Scotty!!! lol

~fyi I have not watched the show yet so that is why I am not saying anything about it :)

I'm so happy with the results!! (If you haven't watched it yet, don't worry, I won't spoil it) I loved them all, so I really didn't mind who got kicked off last night, and I really won't mind who wins. It's going to be quite a horserace. We so excited!!

Now I don't even care to watch next week.  America kicked off all the real talent!  Hailey did so amazing Wednesday night- so America GOT IT WRONG!  But, oh well, life must go on. :( I don't like country music so... eh, either can win, I don't care.

I have to catch up! I forgot about Jennifer and Kelly! They have gone really far, true.

I'm so sad that Hailey (sp.?) left.

Oh, and I want to watch the movie Super 8 and I really want a Super 8 camera. Though if I went around filming my neighbourhood with it, I think the neighbours would think I is creepy... :P

@Olive: I know, right?  That movie looked so intense!  Boohoo I loved Hailey. :'(

Okay, who totally loved El Volo?  (I think that's them).  That Italian group that performed?  They had amazing voices!  I did not expect that voice from the guy with the glasses... whoa!  I really liked their music, though.  Relaxing.  Catchy.  Completely different from the other performer.
