I was thinking,

Chatterbox: Inkwell

I was thinking,

I was thinking, we could start a new story chain. You make up a new character, but they CAN'T be from the 21st century (they'll wind up there later). They have to be related to someone famous but NOT an actor, actress, singer, etc.

Mine is: Dehlia Ludington.

Related to a heroine of the American Revolution: Sybil Ludington.

Lives in Fredericksburg NY, 1777

Suddenly transported to the 21st century.

Age: Unkown

Short length blonde hair, blue-gray eyes, exactly 5 feet, rather pale.

Personality: Quiet most of the time, yet speaks out passionately when its something she cares about, strong, dependable, loving.

Hope ya'll like my idea!

Great idea; let's do it.

Two boys run down the hill to meet some girls. One of them is the guy who told me the date. I stand there looking down at the broken vial in my belt. A few shards of glass dig into my skin but I easily pull them out. I immediatly reach for my spare time tears but the second they're out a boy in pajamas snatches them out of my hands. I sprint after him, past the others and over a second hill. The city is nothing like I had ever been in. Not my mom's or my time. I struggle to take in the scene before I remember my problem. I glance around trying to figure out where he went. I yell at myself for letting him get away and soon my vision is clouded by tears and I find myself on my knees. I had only cried once before and that was when I was a baby so the sensation was strange to me. I hear the voice of the people I ran past coming over to me but I don't feel like getting sympathetic looks so I pull out my knife and they give me space. I wish I could pull out my suit and my wings but I know I will just be captured or something. I put my knife back in my belt and check to make sure I have everything. Then I get up and look at the people who surround me. I walk to the guy who gave me the date and say what date was it or really what date will it be. He looks at me confused and I say What century are YOU from?

Here is a TOP! And a post.

~Dora~

"What century are you from?" the girl with the knife asked Errol. He strared at her for a minute, as if trying to figure if she was safe. Finally he answered, "I am from 1945. And you, may I ask?"

"The future," she replied simply.

"From now? Amazing," marveled Fleix.

She shrugged. "Not really. But I might as well get used to this old-fashiondness. I will be living here after all."

Her words struck me like a dagger. "W-what? What do you mean?" I asked. "And who are you?"

"Isn't it obvious?" she asked. "With my time tears gone, we can't go back home."

I stared at her, questions whirrlng in my mind. Who was she? Why were we here? What were time tears? And who was that boy in striped pajamas?

Uh, FYI, Errol was from 2102. Felix is the one from 1945. And random Thursday Next input.

Errol stares at the strange girl. "After me too, then," he muses. "Say, does the Crimean War still continue in your time?" He pays no attention to her predicament. All of his thoughts are focused on the war on the Russian peninsula and if it still continued in this girl's time.

Dehlia's mind was spinning.  Time tears? What were those?  And how could people come from the future if it hadn't happened yet, let alone GO to the future. Wait, then how exactly was SHE herself here? So, was she really just something that had already happened? That no one even remembered very well? How were they all here? And a war, going on in the future? What about the one going on right then, or had been going on? Ooh. All of this made her head hurt.  From Felix and Dora's expressions, it was confusing for them too.  But first, who was that man in striped pajamas?

Okay, so, right now we probably need something from our villian. Also, does the striped pajamas thing remind anyone else of The Boy in Striped Pajamas? Sorry, it just does.

Yeah, it does actually. Weird. Just call him the guy in pajamas or something.

Okay...Errol is from 2021? *is confused* But, oh well.

~Dora~

All is quiet under the bridge. Only the sound of the loud noise of cars, the talking of other people, the hazy noise of the...future life. Only one noise ove rules the rest. The screaming sound of silence.

"What are time tears, anyhow?" I heard my own voice break the silence.

The girl with the knife looked up swiftly. "I am afraid we don't know each other," she said in a flat voice. Apparently the tears were a touchy subject. "I am Elexhiia Earhart. Unknown daughter of Amelia Earheart."

We introduce ourselves, and then another silence falls. Finally Deliha askes softly, "Umm, what are time tears?"

Elexiia bit her lip. "Time tears," she says finally, "are a magical liquid that can transport us to any time. We might have all gotten home, but that pajamas guy took them. They were the thing to help me to go from 25th century to  1951."

I was thinking, maybe we could come up with an official title for this thread. Something like, Our Places in Time. I don't know, sugesstions? Also, um, SC, we could really use the villian!

2102. But yeah. It's in his profile. Also, hey, has my present tense rubbed off on everybody? Because I used to be the only person on the CB who wrote that way.

Errol rubs his chin thoughtfully. "Time tears... sounds pretty class. 'Magical liquid', of course, meaning a substance that bends space and time..." The girl, Elexhiia, cuts him off with a sardonic glance.

"Magic," she repeats. "It is nothing else. Don't try to make it into science, because it won't work. And your name is?"

"Errol. 2102." He tugs on the end of his scarf. "These time tears... where did the guy who took them go?"

"I didn't see."

"Well, that's a lot of help!" Errol explodes. "How are we ever going to get home now?"

Felix shrugs. "Oh, I don't know, how about we find the guy and make 'im give us the tears back? That could work."

Um, I was thinking, (I say this a lot, I know, which is strange for someone who can't think most of the time) maybe someone else should cover the villian until SC returns? We really need the villian right now. So, who would like to do it?

Cappie says funy.  What on earth is so funny about us not having our villian currently, Cappie?!?!?!?

I can't, that's for sure. I have a million things happening right now, not the least of which are MIDTERMS~~

I suppose, if ya'll would like me to, I could cover the villian for now. Though, in all honesty, I haven't really tried writing from a villian's viewpoint. I could try, (with, perhaps, pointers from you all) but the position is still certainly open!

Cappie says guvp.  Really, Cappie, you have NO confidence in me WHAT SO EVER!
