Hello everyone! I'm back-ish.
So I poked my head in here, and I was all confused because Camp Nano was June and August last year. I went to the Camp Nano website, and flying pigs and squealing ducklings it is in APRIL. That's 16 days away. I was thinking about doing it again this year, but that was some distant plan for June. Play catch up with my word count the week after finals and all that. But April. April is exciting. It's a lot sooner than I expected, but I can do this.
I need some advice from you guys. I've got two stories in mind: Fallen and the Sandmen.
Fallen is the current working title, it'll probably change. It's about a pair of twins, Vass and Cercil. They are the last remaining heirs of Senafin dynasty, but there is a slight problem. Vass was born first, and she's a girl. By some miracle, for over 225 years, since the Senafin dynasty took over the then struggling country, the first borns have always been boys. Girls just aren't allowed to rule. Besides, she has a major attitude problem. Cercil is a boy, and he would be the perfect canidate, but he's second born and a sorcerer. Sorcerers, by ancient law, can hold no position in government other than ones specified for sorcerers. That's not even the real plot. The real plot is when the invaders from the not-yet-named-northern-country pretty much annihilate any central authority in Ervance. Then they have to organize the scattered King's Wolves, the scattered wolves, deal with the surrounding countries and city states who have just been dying to take a crack at the Wolves of Esteranc. Also: the one traitor in the history of the King's Wolves, the few nutjobs in the Order, the twelve year old cousins of mercenaries, and a guy who claims to be the third one, whatever that means. All the while running from the invaders who want the heads of the Heirs on two sticks.
The Sandmen doesn't yet have a main character, but the Thorn King definitely makes an appearance. As does Quinn, because he's just that awesome. I assume, as this is the first of four, that the Sandmen will be have some sort of devious plan to pressure villages and all that good stuff. Also, on the spot of the moment, I realized that the Sandman can't drink water! Aha! Flaw finally found! This is even worse than a heart of thorns...
Er, the actual plot: I'm not sure, but I'm sure I'll have a main character by April 1st...

Hooray! I requested you too, SC! Totally psyched about this! EEEKKK! Hehehehe! I've entered my preparing-to-write-not-sure-what stage, and my mom gets kinda annoyed at times cause I keep zoning out. Half the time, when I come down to earth, I'm not really sure where my mind went. Sort of like when you're in that half stage of sleep, and you start to dream, then you're jared awake, and you can't remember what you'd just been dreaming/thinking about. So...
