The History of Odd Logic

Odd Logic was invented by a pastor in 1984, to train the mind to think outside the box. It was brought back in 2010, as strong as ever, now with another purpose: to annoy all of humanity, confuse poor souls, and in the process, challenging even the minds of the brightest today in modern America.

This is the one you should post on. You do not need to join, you just show up. Each week/two weeks I will post a new question, and you will answer it. It is very fun and helps with your creativity. Also, I will provide feedback to you on what you did well, etc. At the end of each week I will also post my own answer (and my little sister will post and answer too). Make sure to always say why something is happening!

1.) If a boy did a boycott during the American Revolution, and at that exact same time a guy name Harold went to powder his nose, then what was the Queen of England's favorite color in January, 204 A.D.?

a. Purple

b. Eleven

c. Blue

d. Emerald Green

e. Pickles

f. Potatoes

           g. If you have a different answer, type here↴

Tell us how you got your answer!

Well, I guess I'll try it, although I'll probably get the answer wrong!

First off, I'm eliminating b, e and f because they are not colors. The first statement about the boycott suggests that c.) blue is not the answer because of the words boycott and American Revolution. I don't know why, but the statement about Harold and powder eliminates a.) purple. Now, here is where it gets tricky. I want to say that the answer is d.)emerald green, but I'm not going to. Here's why...

I don't think England had a Queen in 204 A.D. because the first Queen of England was Mary I in the 1500's. I don't think Enlgand even had a monarch until the 800's. (I could be wrong.) So, really, the Queen of England in 204 A.D. doesn't exist. So, this is a trick question. With that in mind, the question also says something about January, which is in the midst of winter with snow.

My answer is G.) white. Although controversial, some say that white is not a color or is not real. If the Queen of England in 204 is not real and there are people who say white is not a color, then the "Queen's" favorite color is whitee.

I hope that makes sense.

Teresa, great job! You seem very logical. The only thing is, though, in Odd Logic, there are no wrong answers! You can say anything you want, and if there is a reason for it, it works!!! But, I really like how you justified your answer and went in depth about also, always remember this--Purple answers everything. Oh, and I had the answer white also, but for a different reason.

Now, I'm going to add my answer to this, just so that you guys get another idea. Remember, THERE ARE NO WRONG ANSWERS.

Well, obviously, the Queen's favorite color was white because one night she had a vision of a handsome boy of the future with a bit too much powder on his nose....

Note this was my first ever odd-logic question, so the answer wasn't that good. Now, my friend's dad's pastor was the one who started odd logic, so she made up this question and I told her to score it. On my paper she wrote:

"Overall good, however you might want to make your answer more random and detailed....

Also note that you ALWAYS put the word OBVIOUSLY in to annoy people."

Also, Teresa, I love how you correlated the fake queen and the fake color together. Great job, you have shown great potential. :)

Hmm. Well, the first thing I'll eliminate is "Blue," because in the "Odessy" which I apparently can't spell, the color blue is never used, not even to describe large bodies of water. Why? Because we as humans had not adapted to see the color blue yet. So I'll assume it wasn't blue because of the 204 A.D. thing.

Harold is powdering his nose because he ate a pickle and the vingar was too much for him, causing his nose to run and turn into a nautious shade of purple. Therfore, it was not purple OR pickles.

The Queen of England cannot have "eleven" be her favorite color in JANUARY because January is the 1st month of the year and Noevmeber is the eleventh, so it is not eleven.

Now we have Emerald Green and potatoes. The boycott happening at the same time Harold was powdering his nose durning the American Revelution suggests that the boy who started it felt cheated. To stop the boycott, this boy might be bribbed with money and jewels, such as green emeralds.

Therefore, the Queen of England's favorite color in January of 204 A.D. would have to have been potatoe.

Nice answer, Theo, although next time you could even make your answer more random. I hope you will stick around for the next question!

I really liked the part that you included about the Odyssey. Very clever.

Hi I'm Quizz's lil sis and heres my answer:

Potato.

Okay, okay. She's too lazy and she told me (Quizzy) to make this post for her, and the thing is, I was going to type what she wrote in this Odd Logic packet we made BUT I CAN'T FIND IT!!!!!! But anyways, it was wayyyyyy better than mine! Grr! But she won't tell me! Right now the house is on lock down until I find it, the stubborn girl!

I give up. I can't find it. *pouts*

Now, as I usually am, I'd say that this was impossible to be connected, and the whole question was a hoax, because there was no queen at the time. But, I'll play along.

If "A" and "D" are made into numbers by the 1=A and 2=B, ect. code, then 2+0+4+1(A)+4(D)= 11.

That may be a coincidence, but nevertheless, B) shall be taken out of the list.  Pickles and potatoes are not colors anymore than eleven, and shall also be removed.

That leaves us with  three actual colors, not including the extra answer. So let's try to narrow it down!

204 AD has the letters "A" and "D" in them. So, A) and D) cannot be used. So we are left with C) blue, or G) Blank Space.

I choose C) Blue, because the queen then just happens to like nature, and the sky.

Whoa, True! Great job figuring that special code out! Wow! (P.S., that was, sadly, a coincidence)

Boy, does the word coincidence look wierd...looks like 'coin'-cidence....

Also, My sis (Cheekywaffle) and I made up this warm-up question, which I will tell you the answer to just so that you have another idea of how this works~~

If I have 3 apples, and 2 oranges...

Then how many pancakes fit on the roof?

Now remember, there are no wrong answers, but here is ours:

OBVIOUSLY, THE ANSWER IS PURPLE, BECAUSE ALIENS DON'T WEAR HATS!!!

(See how random it was? You can make totally random things correlate in weird ways. Also, parents do not get odd logic. Or grownups in general, except the rare ones that are totally fun and such.)

Hmm lets see. Since you already used 3 and 2, I'm going to say it can't be any number that is a multiple of those two.

Going from there, who really would put pancakes on the roof? I mean, wouldn't you just eat them? I would. So I'd say 0 pancakes are on the roof- everyones eaten the already:) Plus, 0 is not a multiple of 2 or 3, so I'm safe there.
