Hey I know

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Hey I know

Hey I know I haven't posted much lately.  I also haven't really been writing much.  Therefore, to ease back into writing, I propose a roleplay.  I promise I'll stick this one out, unlike countless other RPs I have abandoned.

My RP proposal (dun dun dun):

Our characters are children of famous celebrities who are discovering they have magical powers.  They then come together in a secret society.

Here's the character information sheet:

Name:

Age:

Physical Appearance:

Celebrity  Parent:(note: make up a celebrity.  Don't use a real one.)

Power:

Personality:

Other:

I will be back soon to fill mine out.

Yes! Yay we've started! (And as True said, some of us older CBers came back!)

@ Katia: Oh my gosh, I've been seeing your name around, it just hit me you're FantasyQuill/Tiffany W.! (I haven't been able to get on much lately.) Welcome back! Interestingly enough, I was just thinkin' about you and some of the other old CBers within the last few months.

Missie ~

I leaned back in my seat, glancing up at my mom as she drove. Her dark blonde hair was pulled back in a bun, her bangs swept attractively across her forhead in a sort of 1940's look. She was smiling and chatting merrily. I did my best to offer my part to the conversation, but I was feeling slightly anxious. I wasn't exactly excited to be going to a large party period, let alone one with a bunch of kids with well known parents. My mom, being a a famous stunt pilot, was often asked to events and engagements, but not often parties, and very rarely did she push me to come. She understood my lack of desire. We were too alike, both prefering to be alone, or just the two of us. It was one of the reasons I liked flying so much.

"Relax," my mom said, squeezing my hand. I jumped, realixing I'd been lost in thought.

"I know it's intimidating to be in such a large crowd, but you'll be fine. Where's that adventurous side of you that shows itself so often?" My mom teased. I grinned slightly. It was true. I loved a good bout of fun or excitement, despite feelings of premonition.

Though my new-found courage quickly waned when I found myself standing at the door, and it all but diminished when we were forced to be separated, finding parties for adults and kids to be separate. I glanced at myself in a hall mirror. A few stray strands of hair had come out of the braid that went across the top of my head, falling across my eyes. My casual, sky blue dress didn't appear wrinkled, though I was willing to be I was the only one who'd be wearing converse sneakers, which were a grey denim color. I hated dressing for parties.

I felt highly conspicuous as I entered the room and stood awkwardly, unsure of what to do. Though apparently I wasn't the only one. Everyone here looked completely bored out of their minds, making it quite evident none of us wanted to be here. I leaned against a wall, glancing up out the window. The sky was perfectly clear, hardly a cloud to be seen, and there was hardly any wind. I longed to be able to go out, go flying. The air was just beginning to become cool and crisp, strongly suggesting autumn was on its way.

Suddenly I heard a sharp gasp, and the whole room fell silent.

Deidre felt horrified. How had she been so careless? Now they all knew about her power.......

I looked at the girl as she dropped the stone. Did these people have powers too? I asked her, "How do you do that?" After awhile of silence, I cheerfully said, "Well, you aren't the only one with powers! I can go into video games." Everyone looked at me, clearly thinking that I was either crazy or really weird. I smiled happily. "So, you can levitate stuff? That's pretty cool!" The girl raised her eyebrows, most likely between shock and amusement. I grinned even more, and laughed. "Gee, you guys are wieners. Let's have some fun!" One person grumbled, "But we are only here because our parents wanted us to meet other famous kids." I snorted. "Well, acting bored won't do any good either." I shook my finger at the kid. These peeps needed some real good cheerfullness.

I am aging her down a bit she is 13, not 15.

“Agi,” My father said in a calm cool voice, this was the first time he had been home in months! He had been making his new movie New Times, Staring Miri Wolf!

“What, Father?” I whispered

“You need to make friends, play, and have a little fun! I’m taking you to a party with other famous children-“

“I most definitely cannot go.”

“Why?”

“Please don’t make me.”

“I won’t make you, I just want you to.”

“I will think about it.”

“It’s in five hours.”

“Oh.”

“Think on it. I really want you to go.”

~

I look in the mirror, I have on a pale blue dress, silver shoes, and my hair elegantly braided, wrapped around my head like a silver crown.

“I must go, to make my father happy.”

~

I find myself at the party far from my dad; I hide in a corner, drawing.

“I’m BORED!” said a girl in a yellow dress, sneakers, and red-pink curls. “Aren’t we all?!” said someone.

Just then I heard a shriek; a girl was making stones levitate! I whispered to her with my telepathy, Shhh, I will help, don’t worry!

Sorry if it shows up weird. I copy and pasted it!

Umm, Winter? You kinda copied Brooke's character. Brooke's character already had telepathy, and 2 telepathy kids won't be too good. It would be nice if you changed your character's power.

Thanks! Sorry if I sound rude.

No, no,no. She has telepathy. I have telekinesis. Totally different.

The other kids had powers too? Deidre glanced at the girl in the blue dress. Then she looked at the happy boy. Deidre shrugged and pointed to the old box TV in the corner.

"I have MarioKart and a few other racing games," she said, flicking on the TV with her mind.

@ Dannie, she has telekinesis, I have telepathy. Brooke said I could telepathy.

Never mind, Winter. It's okay. Sorry if I was rude!

Fredie~

I chuckled. Mariocart? "Sure! I'm pretty good at it." Once Mariocart was on, I jumped into the TV and hit the title screen. Someone gasped and I waved! Yeepe!

Deidre shrugged. It was already pretty weird today.

"Hi," she said to Fredie. "You can choose your character first."

(Warning: This post will be based tons on the MarioCart Wii verson. If you don't know much about, you might not understand my post.)

Fredie~

i smiled. "I pick toad!" I jumped onto toad in the TV screen, and tranformed myself into the little guy. Some people laughed and I chuckled. Deidre smiled and picked her character with her Wii remote. I pressed next and we chose the course. I jumped into my cart, holding the wheel, and jammed my foot on the pedal as I heard "Go!". This course was rather hard, but I managed to get a bonus and threw a red shell at Deidre's character, who swirled around in the cart. I snorted and gathered speed. First place! I jumped out of my cart and raised my hands, screaming, "Yeepee!". Then I did a 360 out of the TV. "Well, that was fun!" I said, cracking my knuckles like a pro.

I took a long shaky breath, my head was spinning, other kids have superpowers?

Suddenly everything went black, I woke up in a chair, everyone was staring at me!

I thought I would die! Then the girl I spoke to with mindspeak said; "Hey, you okay?"

No. I thought. I read her mind and she thought, Oh my gosh! What's wrong!?

"I-I-I-I-I'm f-f-f-f-i-i-i-n-n-n-e-e-e-e," I stuttered

"You sure?"

"Y-y-y-y-y-e-e-e-e-e-s-s-s-s.
I-I-I-I-I-I-I j-j-j-j-u-u-u-u-s-s-s-st-t-t f-f-f-f-f-a-a-a-a-a-ainted,
I'm fine now." I took another long shaky breath

"Okay..."

(Not at all!)

Deidre looked at the telepathic girl with concern. Suddenly her father walked in.

"Deidre, I wanted you to meet........."

(So if any of you are the child of a single mom this would be an interesting subplot.... That Deidre's dad is dating her....)

-Assadar-

"Darson-" I flinched at my old nickname - " This . . . this is good." Jaxon, my older brother, scanned my latest essay. He was my teacher now that he was out of college. You might think that because my mom is a hot-shot author, I might be able to go to some great school and have a robot to do my work. Nope. All I get is my stickler of a brother who changed his name because he can't stand how English spelling is, but somehow graduated Harvard with honors. Go figure.

I glared at him, then started concentrating. "Uh-huh. Let's see . . . twenty spelling and grammatical errors, it's a week late, there's chocolate smeared on the paper, and a whole paragraph is totally copied from the school book. Did I miss anything?"

"Dude!" Jaxon punched me lightly in the shoulder. "Honestly, man, quit messing with my mind. It's creepy."

Yeah. I have this weird . . . condition. I can read people's minds. Yeah. Usually, it's only a few words or phrases come through at a time, but if I concentrate . . . well, let's say that no secrets are safe around me. You think it's fun? You can have it. Try staying in a room of people with loud music blasting through speakers. There's no comfort in trying to zone anything out for me. And at a movie theater? Forget it. The movie's always ruined for me.

"Darson, this is good. Your use of metaphors, sentence structure, and bringing the point across? Ace. Keep it up, bro. Just . . . "

"Yeah, yeah, use the spell check and get it to you in time." I rolled my eyes. "It wasn't my fault that I couldn't get onto the computer for a week. We were running all over the country, and my laptop is broke."

"Ever heard of longhand? We still accept it." Jaxon stood up and stretched.

"Longhand? You mean, the stuff that the cave men used? That's ancient!" I stood up, ready to edge over to the door. It was snack time.

"Oh, by the way, mom's going to some kind of press conference and famous people party tonight. They have a mini-party for the kids. You leave in an hour." Jax picked up the stack of papers. "We'll finish tomorrow."

I glared at him. "Thanks for deserting me, and good luck on the date. I hear Laviano's is a good place. And you're right, the party will sure be a room full of fun." My voice was thick with sarcasm as I walked out the door. I could hear Jax sputtering as I left.

Two hours, three minutes, and one more annoying helicopter flight later, I pushed open the glass doors that led to the kid's party. I was met with a room full of startled teens. Surprise, surprise. They weren't bored.

I walked over to a quieter corner, hoping that reception would be worse than usual. Nope. Stones . . . floating . . . creepy . . . game . . . Yup. The usual mumbo-jumbo.

"You missed it." A girl turned to me.

"What? Ultimate boredome?" I snorted."It's the same everywhere."

Someone jumped into a video game! You call that unusual?

I laughed. "Very funny? Jumping into a video game? That's a new one." An unsettling quiet spread through the room. It was only then I realized that the girl hadn't spoken those words. She'd thought them. Boy, oh, boy, was I in some hot water.
