Hey I know

Hey I know

Hey I know I haven't posted much lately.  I also haven't really been writing much.  Therefore, to ease back into writing, I propose a roleplay.  I promise I'll stick this one out, unlike countless other RPs I have abandoned.

My RP proposal (dun dun dun):

Our characters are children of famous celebrities who are discovering they have magical powers.  They then come together in a secret society.

Here's the character information sheet:

Name:

Age:

Physical Appearance:

Celebrity  Parent:(note: make up a celebrity.  Don't use a real one.)

Power:

Personality:

Other:

I will be back soon to fill mine out.

Sorry I'd been gone! I'm on vacation and it's just been incredibly hard to find time.

@BHR I'm flattered you remembered me! Hopefully I'll get to know you better this time around.

Also, by the way, I'm taking out the requirement for physical contact in her powers, bc otherwise it's narratively difficult.

Oh, and I'm gonna have trouble introducing Melody's  character because I'll write her too much like Leota from the superhero RP and then everything will be terrible, but I'm just trying to bring a thread to life over here. I'm sorry.

Cordelia ~

I was starting to think that maybe everything was a bit more complicated here than a Famous People Party - even one with a kids' table.

So far people had flown, mind-spoken, run out of rooms and - goodness, who even knows what else! What were the people over in corners doing? Or - ugh.

I suddenly felt self-conscious about my own - power, talent, whatever exactly it was. Mine was just so... Silly. Boring if I used it for myself, scary and impinging if I used it on others. Memories! I stared at one girl for too long, and suddenly I got vivid images not she herself can access in that detail; and as I survey the room, more floats up to the top.

I snap out of it, shaking my head. I could ignore it; honestly, I could. And my own memory had served me well on things with the triviality of eighth-grade science midterms, after all. Maybe it'll be okay.

There's parents and introductions and I sort of wander aimlessly for a while; honestly there isn't a lot to do? Then I realize that, in my own indirect way, I am being just as shy as the next person.

And then, all of a sudden, a young woman with a bob who had been talking to Deidre (the one with the vaguely-Norse mythology father who levitates things) (the dad doesn't levitate things, of course, but the girl does) claps her hands. "All right! I think everyone's arrived, and this means we're getting down to business."

Everyone turns to look at her; her voice is loud and clear, ringing out through the sad, pathetic little room. "Er - hello!" I say slowly. She seems too old to be dragged along by a parent to this party, and at the same time I don't recognize her at all - although maybe I do. She's got classic features, with her bob cut and little heart, and I may have seen faces similar to hers - but not recently.

"You must be wondering why you're all here," she says proudly.

"Because my mom wants me to help out poor lonely rich kids," Freddie from Mario Kart suggests. Nobody laughs.

The woman rolls her eyes. "You are here," she says slowly, "because you all have powers."

Deidre raised her eyebrows. All of them did?

Suddenly (ahem) there was a thump on the roof.

Fredie~

I cross my arms around my chest, snorting at the woman. She is sassy! I mean, everyone has powers?! I look at the woman, straight in the eye. "Listen, lady. I don't know about you, but I don't think that everyone here has powers. I mean, no offense guys, but you peeps don't look like you have much power, if any. And if you do have some, you should at least show it! You guys are way too shy." I stand up even straighter. The woman shakes her head in disbelief. "Don't go making a speech, Fredie. You ain't special." I laughed. "Who said I was special? I don't want to be special! Special kids are never special. They are just unique." Some people were backing away from me and the woman as if we would fight each other any moment. The woman laughed straight back at me. "You're one brave kiddy, Fred." I snorted. "How do you even know my name?" I shook my head at myself for asking such a question. The woman mocked me snarly. "How did I get here? Who are you?! Why did you need us? You are scary!" I stepped all the way forward but Deidre pushed me back. "Don't go picking fights, Fredie!" she whispered at me, shooting glances at the strange sassy woman. I snorted and tried to get out of her grip. i heard, once again, another knock on the roof, and I stopped struggling. Suddenly, something crashed out of the roof and landed on the floor. What was it? I stepped forward to see what it was...
