Genius RP

In this RP, we will all take on the difficult role of being geniuses. The first part of the RP will be about our everyday lives. Then,  we are all accepted to this school for gifted chldren. We live there for awhile and then we have to make it in the real world after about a year or 2 at the school. This RP doesn't really have a problem, it is more of a life in the perspective of RP.

You probably won't see this since you quit, but I meant that you went to get the girl, but then I talked to you after you stopped her. And I think I said it was a tiger first, but....

The entire thing is illogical. Let's just move on.

@Squeak

Sorry, but I am ignoring your comment. I am sorry, but that is the exact opposite of Araxie. You are making her into a cocky, illiterate girl who wants to impress people. She is the pinnacle of fine language. She will scare you. Seriously. She is calculating and secretive. She wants people to be friends with her, though, and doesn't mean to be scary. Please don't write other people's characters differently than they wrote in their description.

Guys, really, if you don't pay attention to my charrie's stats, I'm quitting this rp.

Name: Joyce Fiddlesticks

Age: 12

Personality: Joyce graduated high school when she was eight years old. She has been called a nerd all of her life, and she doesn't even seem to fit in with other nerds, because she doesn't like math. She would much rather be doing something with chemistry or constructing a robot or a new invention she made. She also exelled in English, passing the class with high honors. Her dream is to one day have a science lab of her own.

Appearance: Joyce has long, wavy, dirty-blonde hair. She will wear any comfy pants, shirts, and shoes and doesn't care about fashion or matching. She usually has a lab coat on, and you'll never catch her without her eye-protective goggles. She has braces, and talks with a lisp. She always has an adventurous look in her eyes. (Which, BTW, brown.)

IQ: about 150

Genius at two things: Science and robotics.

Classes she is going to take: robotics, chemistry, general physics, creative writing, poetry, Latin, Greek, Spanish, history, archaeology, drama, and painting. Book clubs: fantasy, sci-fi, realistic, and historical. Also, all of the required classes.

I hope you like her and this is an awesome role play!

Joyce ran into her house. She had had a bad day at Drama Club, which her mom had forced her to go to. She wiped away her tears. "I'm home!" she called. Her mom came rushing down the stairs. "Joyce!" she exclaimed. "I've been waiting all day! You'll never guess the good news!" "Then I won't try," Joyce mumbled. "You've been accepted to a boarding school for gifted children! Isn't that wonderful?" Joyce stood there for a moment. Finally, she spoke. "NO! Not in the middle of the school year! Everyone will know each other, and they won't pay any attention to me! Mom, do I have to go?" Her mom looked at her, shocked, and then said, "Yes, you have to go. Besides, I've already made plans for you to go tomorrow!" Joyce just groaned and went to her room.

Sorry I was late joining.

Joyce ran to her room. She burst into tears, until she caught sight of her calendar. "Oh... I'll only be a day late. Whoops!" She gave a sigh of relief and walked downstairs to apologize to her mom.

Guys, I'm quitting. For one thing, everyone COMPLETELY ignored my character's personality traits and made her whatever they wanted, and for another, this rp is waaaaaay too crowded.

Wow, I'm really sorry Brookerina! I didn't know you felt that way! It is getting a little crowded, yes. Sorry that I ignored your character's personality.

I think I'll leave. I just don't have the time, it's way too crowded, and I don't really know what to do with my character.

S.E., I'm still in if you want to continue. Maybe you could give this a little direction? I think we just need to know where we're headed and what our goal is, then this could pick up a bit more. Anyways, I'm still game.

I really enjoy this rp, and I think I kinda ruined it for the rest of you guys. I'm still gonna continue, if you guys want to.

I am okay.

Alright, let's clarify. I do not want anyone getting upset over the tiger thing. It was silly. I probably didn't mention this Brookerina, but none of us had heard of the school before we had been accepted. That's why I continued with the you accidently going to warn the boy about it. I was trying to help your character deveelop into the friend- b wanting person you described her to be. I wasn't clear about that. It's my fault.

Now, cheerier topics. I think tha the RP needs to go in a direction where it's our first night there. I don't thik we should worry abou geting here, because that's caused a bunch of arguments.

Everyone good?

~Joslyn~

My bed sheets feel different now that I have a different mattress. I feel unconfident, vulnerable. The room walls are blue. A soothing color, but not green. I need green walls.  An itch starts to grow in my chest like it does whenever I need something. In, out. I follow my breath to calmdown.

The beareau is unfamiliar, too. It's a light bamboo. Mine at home is a big red cedar drawer with old steel handles. And this one smells funny. Like, well, like wood.

I open the bright yellow curtains. Sunlight pours in. I look down at my clothes. The stiff skirt my parents forced my into, and the frilly white blouse. Ideas race through my head, and Iremember what the person who greeted us had said.

"There is no dress code. You may where whateer  you like, but it must be appropriate."

I find a loose green T-Shirt and pull it on along with a pair of polyester pajama pants. Now that I'm comftorable, I see the clipboard hanging from the wall. After skimming it for a few seconds, I realize it is the class sign up.

The school day runs from 4 o'cclock am to 11 o clock pm. Certain classes are at more obsure times. You will ost likely not have to wake up that early. Check off classes you want to do, and then submit form to tube.

I finally notice the tube that it connected to a wall. After I check off robotics, chemistry, law, creative writng, latin, greek, pottery, trig, calculas, drama, archaology, fantasy+realistic+his. fic book clubs, and all required classes,

I roll it into a canister and toss it in the tube. It's really simple. The air pressure from the tube makes the canister fly. The air speed and pressure changes at certain locations, so tubes going to certain rooms get dropped in easily.

Then, a messege began to flash on the chalkboard across the room.

TIME FOR DINNER.

Okay great, we've started again!

Maddie ~

The helicopter landed on the roof of the school, which was the biggest building I'd ever seen in my entire life. I was about ready to tell the pilot to take me straight back home. If he didn't, I'd go shove him out and pilot the thing back myself.

"Come along," Ms. Bowen said, climbing out of the helicopter. I stared outside for a moment. From the roof, you could see the majority of the campus, which was almost the size of my whole town back home.

I quickly clambered out though, and followed Ms. Bowen down into the building. The halls were filled with kids of varying ages, talking, laughing, and hurrying around to goodness knows where.

"This is the girl's dormitory," Ms. Bowen said as we entered a section of the building where it was nothing but halls lined with doors. "This is your room."

She pushed the door open, then left me alone. The room is far different than what I'm used to. The walls are a light purple, with silky light green curtains. So not my personal color scheme. This would call for changes later, though I wasn't going to worry about that now. The room had everything you'd expect. A closet with a shelf at the top to hold personal objects, a white dresser, and a bed with a bedspread the same shade as the curtains.

The final thing to catch my attention was the tube on the wall in the corner of the room, with a clipboard hanging next to it. I go up to it and quickly skim its contents. Basically all I have to do is sign up for classes, though the class times are horrific. 4 am? Who the heck gets up for classes at 4 am? Despite this, I yank down the clipboard and quickly check off all the classes I planned on attending. Ms. Bowen had given me a light overview of the classes available during the ride here, and I'd immediately decided which were for me.

Robotics, chemistry, space exploration, quantum physics, general
physics, algebra, calculus, trigonometry, history. Book clubs: sci-fi,
historical, biography, autobiography, non-fiction.

On a last minute whim, I also checked off painting.

Then I shoved the paper into the tube and watched it disappear.

Afterwards I saw that my suitcases had already been delivered, so instead of sitting around and let myself miss home, I got busy. The unpacking didn't take long, even though they held pretty much everything I owned. I quickly changed out of the dress I'd worn to arrive, and into a set of shorts and one of my mom's old flying expo t-shirts.

Before I had time to even think, 'I wonder what I'm supposed to do now' the thing I thought was a chalkboard next to the door flashed "Time For Dinner".

**********************************************************************

So, yeah, I added in one extra class, painting. I hope that's okay.

S.E., have you read The Unwanteds? Just cause this reminds me a lot of it.
