Keeper of the

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Keeper of the

Keeper of the Lost Cities RP!!!!!

I know that not that many people read this book, but you can still join. The limit is six more people, and I already have a spot reserved for Blonde Heroines Rule. Here's my character.

Name: Kasira Bay

Age: 14

Ability: Telepath

Appearance: long, waist-length blond hair that sort of shimmers; blue-green eyes with specks of gold; tall and willowy.

Personality: she's quiet and sweet and loyal; she'll do anything for a friend and cares about others; she has no enemies, and everyone likes her.

So, what should we do for the plot?

@ Bookbug: Yeah, Kasira discovering something would be a good idea.

Ellowyn ~

Despite everything, I found myself actually relaxing, and found it easier to fall into my role. I was starting to become my natural, laid back, sarcastic, joking self again. The worry of Kasira finding something out had evidently seriously been waying down on me, but knowing now she was on our side, and was even going to help, lifted a lot of weight off my shoulders. I was still keeping tabs on her, since I knew she was probably a nervous wreck, and I wanted to make sure the strain didn't make her doing something irrational, though all in all I really did trust her. Jerany on the other hands, well, I watched him watching her all day. I kept hoping he would eventually lighten up on her. There was one thing though that kept pestering me that I knew I needed to teach Kasira as soon as possible.

"My house, after school," I wispered to her as we past in the hall. She gave a slight nod, acting as if she hadn't really noticed me, though I knew she had.

"What's up?" Kasira asked, sitting on the bed, watching me as I paced my bedroom floor. Jerany stood leaning against the wall, not really paying attention.

"Something we need to teach you," I answered, pausing to look at her. "All members of the Black Swan are taught this, so if you ever are caught, and the Council orders a memory break, we'll be able to eventually retrieve you."

"Um, retrieve me?" Kasira asked, now looking nervous.

"Wait what?!" Jerany broke in, stomping toward me. "You can't teach her that! It's for Black Swan members only, and then only the ones who are truly at risk! Plus, it takes years to master, and we're not telepaths, how are we supposed to teach her it?!"

I sighed. "She is now a member of the Black Swan, and she could be at risk. She's the same as us now. As to how we'll teach her, I don't know, but we'll find a way."

Jerany and I glared at each other in a long staring contest before I finally broke away and looked back at Kasira.

"Retrieve you mean to rescue your sanity and your mind. See, everyone has this nook, this corner, this safe spot in their mind, though very few actually know about it. If the Council truly believes you are withholding valuable information, they'll order a memory break. Now, you'll have to train yourself to keep your memories as hidden as possible, in the farthest reaches of your mind. A person cannot allow themselves in your mind for very long during a memory break, or they'll lose themselves.  So practice keeping those memories safe. Now, as to the safe place, that will take practice, and a fair bit. Since neither Jereny nor I are telepaths, that makes it even harder to teach you, but we'll try, okay?"

"Alright," Kasira looked a little nervous, though she sounded resolute.

"Okay, I'm not going to try anything on you right now. Go home, and practice with yourself on what I told you. Also work on finding a safeplace in your mind. We won't know if you found it or if it works for sure until... well either we find a way to test it or it comes to the worst, which again I highly doubt it will."

I watched her and Jerany, who was still furious, glitter away, though an uneasy feeling started to stir in me again.

@ Bookbug: Maybe here's where Kasira finds out something about the Council? Maybe she hear's a conversation or something? Whatever you wanna do.

Jerany~

I glance at Ellowyn, who was staring into space and frowning. I sigh, opening the door.

"You're leaving?" Snarls Ellowyn, finally paying attention to what was happening.

"Yes. We must leave...Our New Member... To practice something that only black swans are suppose to learn!" I growl back, walking out and slaming the door close.

The next day at school, Ellowyn and Kas managed to convince me to come for another meeting at Kasira's house. Oh, here comes the bell. I walk out of the classroom, extremly grouchy.

"Cheer up, Jerany. We're a team now," Ellowyn said. It sounded strained.

"Yeah. Totally," I grumbled.

@Blond Heroines Rule: Yes, but I have no idea at all what she should discover. I was thinking the Council could be doing something dangerous or something, but what?

SORRY I DIDN'T SEE THIS TILL NOW. It's been hectic.

@ Bookbug: That sounds good. I guess whatever you want. I like the idea of the Council doing something risky, that way it would add some excitement to the RP!

What if the Council isn't as worried about the alicorns (since they've repopulated) and is sending them on a dangerous mission to find the Black Swan?

Okay, I have an idea. Two, actually.

The first one might be a little crazy, but it's just a thought. What if the Council was secretly thinking about recruiting humans and trying another peace treaty with them? Then maybe there could be this whole war or something between them. I don't know, just throwing ideas around.

Second idea is a little more practical. Maybe the Council captured someone from the Black Swan and is ordering a memory break on him/her. And then maybe Kasira, Ellowyn, and Jerany have to stop the memory break or something.

What do ya'll think?

Yay! I love the Keeper of the Lost Cities series!

Name-Ellianea Lairel

Age-13

Ability-Telepath (If you don't want to have the same ability, I'll be...Inflictor)

Appearance-sorry if this is copying too much but, long blond hair, violet eyes, short and thin

Personality-stubborn, and a bit reckless and mischievious (sort of like Keefe from the book), a good student, except in alchemy

I have a few ideas for the plot- what is Silveny and the other alicorn had repopulated and Everyone had an alicorn and, if they wanted to, could teleport instead of light leap.

Sorry, am I too late too join? If so, you can just ignore my subbmission form.

@ Bookbug: I personally like your second idea. I also like the first, though I'm not sure it'll work just because so many people are against humans, and working with humans honestly seems a little more like something the Black Swan would do. But I'm game for either idea! Both are good.

@Sarah: sure, you can join!

@Blond Heroines Rule: I think you're right about the first idea. I guess we could go ahead and incorporate the second idea.

Yay, thanks!

You guys already have the story started, so maybe I could come in the middle of the Foxfire year because I was at a nonspecial abilities school until they found I was actually an Inflictor and transferred me to Foxfire. Maybe I find out that my parents are part of the Black Swan and they give me your names and I meet you?
