Gods/Goddesses RP!!!!!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Gods/Goddesses RP!!!!!

Gods/Goddesses RP!!!!!

So here's my idea:

We're all going to be minor gods/goddesses. Then we'll kinda keep upgrading, until....bam! We're gigantic mega-gods with attitude problems! (OK, that last part was a joke.)

You can be from any line from mythology, but I mean like the Egyptian and Greek mythology that has a lot of gods. Also, one of us can't be the super all-powerful god, we're all even. And let's make sure we don't share the same power.

The plot line will be that to upgrade we need to do special tasks (I'll take care of those). And then, when we're the superawesome people, evil hordes will try to wreck our lands.

We'll start as godly kids, but each time we upgrade we get older.

Name: Gale (there's no last name, since we're gods)

Mythology line: Greek

Goddess of: wind, but when she upgrades totally it will be weather. Note, the actual gods don't REALLY exist in this RP, so we can have the same powers as them.

Personality: She can be a little rough, but is mostly gentle. If you anger her, though, you'd better watch out!

Appearance:  She wears a sky-blue toga and has short blonde hair, also sky blue eyes.

Valora -

I kept my eyes on the dragon, moving as silently as I could, my mind on one thing.

A crystal gem.

The dragon moved slightly, his teeth showing as he snarled in his sleep. I jumped over his giant tail, landing quietly on the other side, and swiftly grabbing the crystal gem. I looked around after a second or two to see if it was a trap or anything, but nothing happened. So I simply jumped over his tail, and started to creep out of the cave.

That was easy.

" WHO DARES TAKE MY PRIZED GEM?!" the dragon roared angrily, as I hid behind a rock.

Or not.

I stepped out from behind the rock, holding the gem in my hands before me.

" Sorry. I was uh.. Taking it to be polished. It looks a little dirty, don't you think? I mean really, if a great king like you wants his gems to be as prized as you say, then don't you need to take them to the blacksmith every once in a while to get them cleaned?" I asked, my heart beating as fast as the North Wind could blow. The dragon's eyes narrowed, his tail with spikes that had killed so many raising.

" Fine. But if I catch you in here again, you die!" his tail smacked down right by me, my eyes widening. I walked out of the cave, trying to show that I wasn't scared. I smirked, thinking of an idea.

" Bye!" I said to the dragon king, my hand lightly trailing over the stone wall, cracks forming and following down towards my hand. I left, feeling victorious, knowing that the power within me was starting to soon grow.

And maybe grow a little bit darker.

Oh! Sorry! I didn't see your comment when I posted. I think mine fits okay, but ignore it if you like, it's fine. =)  Except for the power I got.

~Zephyr~

All that anticipation. All that fear.

And she just walks in and takes them.

Fine with me.

I hold the Cursed Jewel in my right hand, reverently gazing at it. It's sapphire blue, large, and barely fits in my hand. It's a perfect gem with hundreds of facets, and it seems to glow like a small blue sun, casting light and illuminating my face in the semi-dark cave. It has power. Should I grind it up? I could keep it . . . .

"Child . . . ." comes a low voice through the cave.

It's nothing, I think, just your mind. Thunder, maybe, outside. But there was no thunder. Than my powers, out of hand, I heard somebody's fear for their child, it's common. But I only hear spoken words when I listen.

"Come closer . . . " The voice is mightier now, definitely not my imagination.

The others have left, and now I am alone. With the dragon king.

"Why shall I?" My voice sounds small and squeaky and silly in comparison. The dragon chuckles

"Child, I have knowledge, wisdom I could share."

"Why should you?"

"Because you will give me payment." He replies, and I sense something shift in the darkness. "Knowledge for knowledge, that's the price."

He knows my weak spot. Knowledge- I crave it like food and drink. I must have more, more, more until the very moment I die, which, since I'm immortal, could very well be right now and at the hand of The Dragon King.

I muster all my bravery. "I'm afraid I'll have to decline, but-"

"SILLY CHILD!" Hisses the beast. "There are worse things in this world than me, and you will encounter them all! Yours will not be an ordinary existence, nor a death of old age. I can tell you things that will save your life more than once, I-"

"Goodbye," I murmur, and turn to leave. He doesn't notice. He continues speaking like a madman, shouting and screaming, even as I step from the cave and out into the sunshine.

"Umm . . . Gale! Come here." She looks surprised at my roughness, but hurries just the same, floating on a gust of wind. "Did you hear anything? From inside the cave, I mean."

"No . . . " She looks at me "Listen, Zephyr, you don't look so good- are you okay?"

The Dragon's voice growls and spits and hisses. "Cursed child! I could tell you . . ."

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. So you don't hear anything from inside it, even now?"

"No. Zephyr, I'm going to go get my upgrade. Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah." I mutter, and she turns to leave.

I walk in the general direction of the powerup machine, stumbling, absentmindedly. Lyris appears next to me quickly enough to startle me to the ground.

"What's up, Zeph, you look shaken."

"Nothing."

"You know, I can tell when you're lying."

"Good for you." I push past her, towards the machine. It's not her fault. I'm just in no mood for politeness.

Thoughts whirl through my head.

I must be the only one able to hear his words because of my powers.

What did he want to tell me?

What knowledge did he want?

Why- But I'm at the machine now. My sentimentality for the gem evaporates as I shove it into the power box.

A few moments later, a small, golden, glowing orb appears in it's place. I grasp it gently in my hand, then bring it to my lips. It disappears down my throat.

My eyes snap open, making me realize they were closed.

I now have the power to read mortal minds, and any immortal ones that consent to it.

I smile.

Gale~
I watch as Zephyr upgrades, then smiles. I sigh, turn into wind, and appear at the powerup machine.

"Zephyr," I say, "you heard the Dragon King in that cave, didn't you?"

I insert my gem (a sparkling white) into the powerup machine. Zephyr blushes and nods.

"That's not good," I say. "In the legend it says that the Dragon King will choose one person to trick until he can kill it. If he spoke to you, he's chosen you."
The powerup machine dings. I pick up a small loaf of bread from a slot at the bottom and start eating. Zephyr and I walk up the passage.

"Any strange sounds you hear, any weird feelings-- that's him, trying to reach you. You have to ignore him, even though it'll be hard. The legend says that if the Dragon King does not get you after a year, he must stop and choose someone else."

Zephyr nods and walks away.

I swallow my last bite of bread and feel- strong. I don't feel different, except maybe a little bigger. Then something tells me.

Now I can control the rainstorms.

Paranorma

I shadow travel there in an instant. It's kind of energy-sapping to travel such a distance, but I don't really mind. Once everyone else gets there, I turn towards the cave-and stop immediately. There lies the Dragon King, so huge he's from floor to ceiling. Many creatures haunt the Underworld, but not one like this. I let out a small whimper and then swallow my fear. I step, very carefully and very quietly, into the shadows of the cave. I'm over to the gems in a flash, then grab one, a ruby, as quietly as I can. But I fail. I make to much noise. The Dragon King turns with a roar, and  I panic. I feel myself being enveloped by shadow. Luckily, I have aimed perfectly, and I'm back. A small collection of gods and goddesses has gathered, and I go over to join them, then freeze. There' someone here that  I can't see. I can feel it.

Känsla~

I smile at the others, feeling their emotions and thoughts. I can already control thoughts and feelings. This will be fun.

I'm not your ordinary god. Everyone else is based on humans. I'm part dragon and part ferret... Thing. Most people can't tell. Neither can I. But at least I look kind.

I watch Valora, who smiles back at me. We have taken a liking to each other, but reasons are unknown. Well, I enjoy her because of her loyalty and trust.

I spread out my wings a bit further, enjoying the air peacefully.

Valora -

I walked up to the power machine ( is that what we're supposed to call it?) And insert the gem into its rightful place. I force my hand not to shake as I place it where your hand is supposed to go. I feel my power grow, my ability to destroy even greater things appearing in my mind, the power to pursade people that they could trust me, and that I could lead them only appearing for a split second, which meant that would be the next thing to come. I walked away from the machine, letting others get their upgrade.

In time you will show him what you can do.

Then he won't be the only one leading a great war.

Paranorma

Something is not right here. But what?

I sigh, then walk over to the Power Machine. The problem can wait. I place my ruby inside. There's a whirring noise, and then out comes a small, round ball of darkness. I place my hand on it warily, and instantly feel a change. When it's over, I raise  my hand and the light seeps out of the nearest torch, casting that part of the room in shadow.

I smile. I can work with this.

Gale~

Well, controlling the rainstorms? Harder than I thought. It's no fun for people to be able to know when you're angry or sad, and I don't know how to control that. Sighing, I look out the window. Rain. Again. I banish it, but it comes right back. Doesn't it understand that I'll feel better once it leaves??

Especially because of what this continuous rain is doing. I look down at what used to be the orchards. Only the tips of the trees remain. And don't get me started on the running track.

Suddenly there's a ding behind me. I turn around. I didn't even realize I was standing in front of a Mission Slot. I take the sheet of paper (imagine a Mission Slot as the part of the printer that the finished paper comes out of, glued on the wall). It reads:

Cure the infinite rains and save the mortals from floods. This will be done by curing eternal sadness.

Oh boy. I know every god gets the same thing, but this seems directed at me. Cure the eternal rains by curing the eternal sadness. I can't stop!

Well, I know one thing I can do, now. Tell the others that I'm the one that needs to be cured.

Since we've gotten older and stuffs, Paranorma's now a teenager. And you all need some explanation of why she's become a stone pillar. So, Paranorma was practicing shadow travel by visiting the mortals, one of which she fell in love with. They visited each other more and more, and Aphordite was like, "Uh-uh. Paranorma deserves waaaay worse than this. I mean, have you seen her dress? Her hair?" Anyways, so the guy died. What was more, he had to wander the earth as a listless ghost, so Paranorma became the goddess of the supernatural to try to contact him. After this incident, anything Paranorma showed affections for became one of the supernatural.

Paranorma

The new quest slip rolls out of the machine. On the paper are the words Stop the eternal rain by ending the eternal sadness.  Ending the eternal sadness? Good luck with that. No way can something as small as quest remove the great sorrow from my heart. How could it, when so many of my loved ones have been turned to monsters? I let the paper flutter to the floor. If this is the quest, I shall never become a full-fledged goddess.

As if I care.

First off, anyone can join, anytime, I think I said that, not sure though.

And two, Carolion that is brilliant. The "more than one eternal sadness" thing.
