Lunch was described by Shadow Dragon as a "car speeding happily and crazily along a highway, smashing it's fellows gleefully before abruptly pulling a u-turn and slinking away with it's tail between it's legs."

It started quite normally, with the CBers foraging for food. The only food in the fridge- two eggs, three gallons of milk, the cold oatmeal from the first day, a piece of stale chocolate, half a bowl of Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs, about eighty bottles of Mountain Dew, and a stale piece of chocolate. Air, Squeak and S.E. fought over the eggs, finally ending with Air having an egg and S.E. and Squeak having crushed the last egg and spilled it all over the floor. They were now arguing over who had to clean it up. Air added almost two cups of milk to her egg to stretch it into a meal and ended up taking forever on the stove. Meanwhile, Brookeira and MP were sharing one of MP's pies with some Mountain Dew. Teresa was eating an orange she had picked in the backyard of the HQ and drinking milk with it; Silvery Ink was enjoying a piece of ink-drenched paper and Axis was eatting the Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs. As for Indigo, she'd dissappeared- Danie's theory was that the old oatmeal had eaten her. (Danie wasn't eating anything, she said the sight of the oatmeal had made her lose her apetite.) Squeak and S.E. had finallly cleaned up the eggs and were both very hungry. They all sat down around the table, carefully devouring the food they had and then trying to take other people's food. MP pied Squeak, but Squeak caught the pie and ate it. S.E. asked to be pied but MP wouldn't pie her and she was soooo hungry. Poor S.E. sat watching as the other CBers devoured the measly allotments. Brain dived head first in the and then was jerked under by whatever was living in it; Icy and Dee Dee fought magnifecently. Shadow Dragon singed the oatmeal to a crisp to try to destroy what was living in it, but it just made the oatmeal angry. Just then, Indigo, Ana, and her brother Ben appeared. Indigo was dressed in her suit. Ana was wearing a suit as well, and her brother had on his Search And Rescue things. Indigo and Ana were carrying large white take-out boxes, and were chatting happily to each other. "I really liked the fried rice, and then also the smoothie I got, I forget it's name, it was really good too-"

"Indigo!" Shadow Dragon exclaimed. "My dear, dear, dear friend... could I have some of those leftovers."

"Indigo! Ana! Random bodygaurd-like person! Can I have your leftovers!"

Indigo, Ana and Ben were soon swarmed with people. Finally it turned out like this: S.E. got one fourth of the leftovers, and everyone else who wanted it (there were only five people who wanted it) one fifth of the leftovers.

Just as they finished divying it up, Nixa, Hacker Dee and Baelfire appeared. Hacker Dee's and Baelfire's clothing was ripped and dirty. Hacker Dee kept coughing and shivering. Nixa had thick dark circles under her eyes. But the worst part was that Cayke and BHR were gone. "I'm sorry- they didn't make it," Nixa said, and for a moment there was silence, punctuated with Teresa running from the room sobbing. "Zombies now."

"We ran out of food. And water. And we're very tired now. Maybe we could be replaced?" Hacker Dee asked. Hacker Dee looked at the oatmeal longingly and ran up to it, then to the screams of "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO", stuck his face in there and starting eating it. Indigo saw something green and zombieish grip his head and then a mouth came up towards him- Ben dragged him back away from the bowl of oatmeal, but the strange zombified creature leapt out and latched onto his skull. Ben twisted the knobs to America before the transformation could occur, but it was very, very close- their HQ had almost been zombie-infected. "Maybe we should do drills for what'll happen if it all gets zombified?" Air said.

No one answered her. They were all staring blankly, still in shock.

Mr. Evanson roused them by coming in. "Here's your paychecks," He said, passing them out, then leaving. "And they can be used on groceries."

"You know, that's a good idea," Danie said, and dissappeared.

"So, who's going to replace us," Nixa asked, swaying on her feet.

Axis, S.E., MP and Brookeira agreed to replace them. "But just for a week or too, right?" S.E. asked nervously.

"Just... for a bit," Nixa said, and fell onto the floor unconcious.

All in all, their lunch could have gone much better.

Air's ZA notes, entry 7

BHR -- zombified? dead? ...gone?

It's just, she was... she's the epitome of ZA zombie butt-kicking, and now... it's just us.

I slowly eat my weird milky eggs and think about it.

And... zombie oatmeal? I'm DEFINITELY not leaving anything in that fridge anymore: my room has a cabinet I'm using.

"WAIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DONT HAVE CHOCOLATE FROSTED SUGAR BOMBS?" Squeak asked, glaring behind his sunglasses.

"I mean," The Safeway employee said in a tired voice, "We don't have any Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs."

Shadow Dragon, in her human form, rounded the corner riding on a grocery cart. Air was pushing Shadow Dragon along and now pulled up her legs, laughing as they careened into the oranges display.

The Safeway employee sighed and rubbed her forehead.

"What? We've got a reputation to uphold! We HAVE to be crazy!" Shadow Dragon said, picking up her groceries.

"Wait- you're ... Chatterboxers, aren't you..." The Safeway employee said, her eyes widening.

"Please" said Indigo, coming around the corner with Ana beside her, "Call us CBers." She pulled a bag of lays potato chips off the shelf and tossing it into the shopping cart. She yanked the shopping cart away from the orange display and shoved it over towards Teresa, who was emerging from one of the aisles carrying a box of minature oranges.

"Those are the perfect size for throwing at people!" Danie said happily.

"CAN I HAVE EVERYONE'S AUTOGRAPH!!!!" The Safeway Employee yelled. She had been saying it quietly for several minutes now without anyone hearing and was resorting to yelling.

"Sure," Teresa said.

"You're becoming a real CBer, you yell good," Squeak said, signing the scrap of paper the Safeway Employee had shoved at her.

Air came from around the corner, carrying Dee Dee. "I don't know what to feed her, what do Pikachus even eat?" She asked.

The Safeway Employee stared at the Pikachu then shouted, "Ella! Come here quick!"

Another Safeway employee came running over and then stopped short, staring.

"C'mon, get the autographs quick before anyone else realizes they're here!" The first Safeway employee said, shoving a piece of paper at Indigo.

"Sorry, I don't have time, I'm supposed to be at a meeting in five minutes and I still need to shop..." Indigo fled.

A crowd gathered, shoving scraps over paper, pens, and money at the CBers. It became such that at long last the CBers teleported themselves away and then teleported the money they owed to the counter.

It was surprisingly fun for a day in the Zombie Apocolypse. Too bad the Artic Group wasn't having any fun.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Indigo had now persuaded eighteen more countries, and she had asked the countries she had already persuaded to persaude the other countires. There were now only five countries left unpersauded. In celebration, she opened up a box of exploding chocolates. She open the wrapper and it exploded chocolate and dollar coins all over the place. She picked up the dollar coins and put them in her wallet then devoured the chocolate. She had just opened another one when Mr. Evanson walked in. "The CBers are holding a meeting in the main room," He said. Indigo followed him out into the big room, still licking chocolate off her fingers.
Teresa was holding a thick envelope in her hands, and a snowy owl was busily flying around and around the room. Indigo sat down and without further ado, she opened the envelope.
"Dear Chatterboxers,
I am happy to reveal that the Ministry of Magic has at long last allowed us to tell you braving Muggle (and Wizarding) kids that we have help. We have discovered the cause of the zombies. However, we do not know what it is does. It seems to be a sort of Muggle device, although it is unlike any Muggle studying wizards have ever seen. We wish to send it to you. (In an airtight box, of course.)
Signed, Kingsley Shacklebolt
PS Some of you have suddenly shown magical abilities. We are aware that none of you are eleven anymore, and that you are busy but once it all boils down Hogwarts informs me it would be happy to have you, no matter how old you are."
"GOSH!" Air said.
"Who is it? Who is it? Who has magic?" Danie asked excitedly.
"Arianne "Air" N..." She handed one to Air.
"Indigo Keli," She handed one to Indigo.
"Sara Evanson..." She put it down to give to S.E. later.
"Ruby," She read, crying, and then put it with S.E.'s.
"Emily Silverwing," She put it in her lap.
"Blonde Heroines Rule," She choked out.
"CayketheCook," She moaned.
Air threw her arms around Teresa and hugged her tightly. Indigo gave her an exploding chocolate and Dee Dee snuggled up to her. She wiped her tears and shrugged a bit. "That's all the acceptance letters."
Indigo pulled out a quill pen and started writing a reply. Just then Axis, S.E. and Brookeira appeared. "MP's a zombie now and we almost got zombified from her pies," S.E. said, collapsing on the couch.
"What are those?" Axis asked.
Teresa explained. Brookeira was quite mad she didn't have an acceptance letter but was so exhausted and glad she didn't have to go back to the Artic she didn't argue much. The CBers wrote their letters back, ate exploding chocolates, and napped.
Diary~
I can't believe it. Everyone is dying.... Somebody, BHR, Cayke, Ruby, Misti... Even MP. Oh, I don't want to die, It seems all so scary. It was fun, exciting at first... But it's getting all serious.
So glad I don't have to go to Hogwarts. Dad wouldn't allow it anyways... I wonder how my parents are.
WHAT IF THEY'RE DEAD?! What... What if my sisters are dead, what... What if my friends are dead....?
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh..
I'm signing off now. Tears are streaking through my eyes.
Dinner was a happy affair with strange moments where the happiness shattered, and was replaced by cold dispair; it was those moments when someone meantioned BHR or Cayke, or MP, or one of the zombified. Pies were thrown. Dee Dee, Icy and Brain were having a three-way wrestling match, bets of chocolate were placed on who would win. Chocolates were eaten. And tears were shed.
After dinner, Indigo, Air and S.E. went shopping in Diagon Alley. It had changed a bit since the era of Voldemorte and Dumbledore; although not quite up with the style now, they had caught up about too the 1990s in Muggle fashion. Most had on their long black robes, but Indigo spotted someone dressed in bellbottom blue jeans and a sleeveless red shirt, and one girl in skinnny jeans and a sweater. Air spotted a dark-haired boy wearing a dragonskin jacket, black ripped jeans, and a hogwarts scarf.
They all picked up their money, then Air and Teresa got their fittings first while Indigo bought all the school books. Then Indigo got her fitting while Teresa and Air got the telescope, phial and Cauldron. After that they went to Ollivander's and waved around a couple of wands. Air got a flexible wand of regular length, Beech wood, dragon heartstring. Teresa got a flexible cherry wood wand with a blend of fairy wing and unicorn hair for a core. S.E. got a sturdy blue spruce with a dragon heartstring core. Indigo kept on waving wand after wand, without it doing anything. Finally Mr. Ollivander had no more wands for her to wave. "Does this mean I'm not a wizard?" She asked in a strained voice. Mr. Ollivander said, sighing, "I have one more wand, although it wasn't supposed to be for sale, I don't approve of veela hair-" And he brought out a ginkowood wand. It was springy with a veela hair core, and it worked perfectly for Indigo. Sighing with relief, she paid for all of them. They went to the pet store next. Indigo bought an owl, Air bought a cat, Teresa declared she already had a cat and didn't need two, and S.E. bought an owl. They bought some ice cream and then teleported back to the HQ.
Air was promptly pied when she appeared. Indigo discovered that a huge pieing fight was going on. She teleported her things away then reappeared with some pies and got to work.
Three hours later, they were all slumped on their beds, fast asleep. Teresa had taken three showers to get all the pie out of her clothes.
That morning when Teresa woke up and walked downstairs, she found Air sitting at the table staring at a small, round metal ball with strange inscriptions on it, inside a thick clear plastic glass box. She was noting various things down as she stared at it and murmering to herself.
"That's what caused the zombie apocolypse?" Teresa asked, taking out a cerel bowl and pouring some Life cereal into it.
"Yeah," Air said. "I'm starting to get an idea how it did it and what it is, but I'll need to make some experiments, and..." She swallowed hard. "I'll need to see it zombify something."
Teresa's mouth fell open slightly and then she closed it with a snap. "You mean- a human?"
Air shook her head, looking scandilized. "An animal."
Teresa looked relieved. She went back to pouring cereal. "You can do it to one of my kittens."
Air nodded, looking down.
Shadow Dragon came down, with Axis, Nixa, and Brookeira. "I don't think there are any more survivors in the Americas, but I heard it spread to Haiiwii, we should-"
She saw the ball and broke off. "What's that?"
As Air explained, Teresa gobbled her cereal and left to the Yellow Room. She had the last meeting with the last countries in two hours and her slide still wasn't done.
Indigo woke up next. She made herself some pancakes.
Squeak, Danie, and S.E. were up next.
As Squeak poured his cereal, he said, "It feels so weird not having to watch for pies..."
Indigo nodded, wiping her eyes.
Air finished her cereal, dumped the bowl into the sink, picked up the airtight plastic box and walked off, saying over her shoulder to the tech group, "Can ya come help me when you're done?"
Three hours later the Tech Group called a meeting.
They all sat down in the lab around the huge box the metal ball had been put in.
"Umm, so we think we figured out what it is," Danie said.
"It's got a bad friction burn," Air said, "Which means it came falling from space. But the burn is partically repaired, which means this is highly advanced technology."
"It has bits of really old dirt on it, but isn't rusted," S.E. said. "It's been there a long time, but it only opened up recently. It seems that, it's a bomb, but it only lets out the gas when a certain command is given."
"So what does that mean?" Indigo asked nervously.
"We think it's alien technology," Danie blurted.
They all stared at the Tech Group.
Then Brookeira said, "No, it makes sense. You remember how they had made a new rocket that could fly farther and they were talking about a trip out of the solar system? I'll bet the aliens saw that as a threat."
"So, do you think you can make an antidote?" Teresa asked.
Danie shuffled her feet. "Well, maybe. We've got a bit of an idea what would be needed, but, well..."
"We aren't sure, and some of them are rare," Squeak put in.
"What do you have so far?" Nixa asked.
"Umm, we've only figured out three so far, and-"
"What are the three?"
"Chimera scale, Liquid Diamond, and Fir wood ash."
Note: I just read all the last few installments and they're awesome, Indigo! Can't wait to see how this ends!
Air's ZA notes, entry 8
I feel like a renaissance girl: doing everything. I'm glad that I can, to help fight the ZA, but still I'm always sad when I think about Dee, Cayke, and MP, who fought too... And still are gone.
We have our wands! My spellbooks and magical materials are all piled on the desk in my room, and when this ends, if this ends, I can't wait to go! I wonder if Teresa, Indigo, S.E., and I are allowed to use magic. Kingsley didn't quite specify. Maybe we'll even get some wizarding folk or magical creatures to help us fight the zombies... And the aliens.
We're so close to solving all this! We know the origins of the device. The tech group took a vial of the gas when we zombified our test subject. Mr. Evanson's lab has a mass spectrometer we used to decant the elements... And S. E. 's skill with her spellbooks helped a lot, since she can figure out the antidotes to each part. But with the rarity of the ingredients, how can we ever fix the problem I time?
But now we have to find the ingredients, find about all the rest (there are more than three), figure out what's going on in the arctic, stop the now zombified cat from contaminating h.q., save the people in Hawaii...
Teresa stared at the zombie cat through the thick plexiglass box. She shuddered and asked Air, "Do you really need to keep this on the table? It's kind of making me loose my appetite..."
Air sighed and called over her shoulder, "Can someone move the cat to the lab?"
Toni grabbed it and ran off with it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Danie used her hair dryer grappling hook to yank herself to the top of the nearest building. She grabbed the energy bar and stuffed it into her mouth as she watched for surviviors. Chewing the last bite of her quick lunch, she heard a shattering noise and realized the zombies had broken through the skylight. She grappling-hooked over to a higher building, scanning for survivors. There was one! She swung down and grabbed the kid, then let go and backflipped through the air, landing on her feet at the top of a different building. The hair dryer grappling hook came free and she caught it with one fingerless-glove-clad hand, tucking it into her belt. The kid stared at her, then said, grinning, "THAT WAS TOTALLY WICKED!" Brookeira grinned back. "You wait here, kay? I'll be back, but I need to check for others."

The kid nodded. Wondering how such a little kid survived, Brookeira used her hair dryer grappling hook to get back up to the high building.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Danie got a bad hit to the head and had to return to the HQ to get patched up. When she appeared, Brookeira tackled the little kid to the ground. The little kid started sniffling and sobbing. "What did you do that for?" Teresa asked, shocked. "The poor kid!"
"It's not a kid, it's an alien," Brookeira said.
"I'm not an alien," the little kid sobbed.
Brookeira grabbed a knife and pressed it into the kid's arm. Red blood spurted out. She breathed a sigh of relief. "I'm sorry, kid, but after what happened earlier today we can't take any chances."
"What happened?" Danie asked.
"The aliens took over one of the survivors and forced them to let out the zombified cat. Luckily Air caught the zombified cat again and the girl who they took over is under strict survelliance but it was close. Way too close."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Tech Group and The Debate Group (The Debate Group had persuaded all of the countries to ally with them) were talking.

"How would you even melt diamonds?" Indigo asked. "I read this article about how these scientists melted it by putting it under all this pressure but then when they stopped it solidified immediately."

"I'm not sure," Air sighed.

"We've got a dragon, right? So maybe all we need to do is have Shadow Dragon breathe fire on it?" Danie said optimistically.

"I dunno we'd have to do some experiments," S.E. said.

"And what about the chimera scale?" Teresa asked.

"We're thinking, everyone works together on that, we'd need a lot of help... use magic if we could, even if the wizards aren't the best at it, use swords and every means possible."

Air flipped to a different page in her notebook and pressed one finger to a line of handwritten text. "Part of the idea would be about reviving the person from a sort of a disease... is there any sort of cure-all we could use?"

"Bezoar," Teresa suggested.

"Good idea," Air said, and wrote it down.

"Bezoars are easy enough to get; we could just go on a jaunt over to a potion-making shop or something," Indigo said.

Nixa walked in. "If some of you are free, the Search and Rescue is having some trouble in Haiwii."

Teresa and Indigo nodded, standing. "Bye guys!"

They walked out.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Indigo tied her hair back in a high, springy ponytail and grabbed a pair of cargo pants, a black sleeveless shirt, and some black tennis shoes. She retreated to change.
Teresa grabbed a knife, then looked at it and shook her head. It wasn't her style... she picked up a couple energy bars and tucked them in her belt, then grabbed a hair dryer grappling hook. She changed out of the brown skirt, white shirt, and green vest she was wearing for jeans and a red tanktop.
Indigo emerged from the bathroom and loaded up on weaponry, then they both poofed.
Air's ZA notes, entry 9
this is getting more and more dangerous. Aliens? Escaped zombies in HQ? I'm amazed no one has deserted... But there's nowhere to go. We HAVE to stop this.
The Wizards might be the answer. Fiendfyre, maybe, to melt the diamond? A bezoar, as Teresa suggested. Chimaera scale? That'll be riskier than even aliens... We've got to solve this.
Hahaha you thought this was dead, didn't you? Well you're wrong.
The Search and Rescue team (along with Indigo and Teresa) was doing fine until the aliens appeared.
A "girl" with dark red eyes emerged from an alley, unfolding her limbs. Mechanically she pulled two long, slightly curved daggers out of two sheathes hanging on the sides of her waist. She cartwheeled through the air towards Nixa. Nixa pulled out a round metal ball and smashed it onto the ground. Salt exploded up in a thick cloud. The "girl" moved through it unpreturbed. "Darn!" Nixa said angrily as she grappling-hooked away.
The "girl" cartwheeled through the air after her.
Brookeira froze the girl but the girl turned into a dragon and melted the ice.
"She shape-shifts!" Indigo said, gaping.
"It, Indigo, it," Axis replied grimly.
"Nixa! Zombies behind!" Teresa shouted.
Nixa grappling-hooked back to the ground.
The dragon took a deep breath and Danie could here a gravelly sound like fireworks starting their path upwards. She tackled Teresa, who was in the way of the fire, to the side.
Teresa scraped on the pavement and looking up saw a pair of green-gray mottled feet. Teresa leapt away screaming "ZOMBIE".
"Teresa, Danie, hold them off!" Brookeira shouted back, tossing Teresa a machine gun. "We need to deal with this alien!"
Danie nodded. Teresa caught the machine gun and they both started to shoot.
Behind them they heard Indigo scream, "AVADA KEDAVRA!" at the top of her lungs. Teresa and Danie exchanged a shocked glance and Teresa glanced over her shoulder. The curse hadn't worked; Indigo's wasn't powerful enough. "OH!" Indigo said. "I have an idea. You guys keep fighting, I'll be back."
Indigo poofed.
Axis started cartwheeling around trying to distract the dragon. Brookeira froze it.
"GUYS!!" Screamed Teresa. Axis turned and saw that the zombies had driven her and Danie very close to the fight with the aliens.
Nixa raced over and started helping them, pulling out her own gun.
The dragon breathed fire and melted the ice, but Brookeira froze it again. "INDIGO COME BACK ALL READY," Danie heard Brookeira mutter.
Indigo appeared, holding the shoulders of Snape. "-VADA KEDAVRA!" Shouted Snape. A bolt of green light shot through the air just touching the edge of Danie's jacket. What was more important however was that the bolt of green light shot the alien in the heart.
Indigo disappeared and reappeared without Snape.
"What did you do?" Asked Teresa.
"I grabbed Snape from when he killed Dumbledore," Indigo explained.
"Oohhhh..."
"GUYS! Zombies!" Shouted Danie.
Indigo pulled out a gun and joined them in fighting them off. When they had sufficent room they all grappling hooked to various roofs. Looking around they only spotted one survivor, who Teresa grabbed. And then they all teleported back to the HQ.
