2. I may not be able to post a lot.

3. Writing a story with all of you CBers as the main characters would be hard, so I'll be choosing two, three, maybe four people to be the "main" characters.

Hey, Ind, I'd like to pull my character. not kill her off, not hide her, just pull her. Your making her not like me at all (jumping to conclusions? Cutting open a little kid's arm?) I'm sorry but unless this turns around I'm not participating.

I'm sorry. I'll try not to put your character in such a bad light.

Dinner that night was a slightly subduded affair. The table was quiet, unnaturally quiet. They all nibbled on their take-out food. Their was a few quiet chatters among the Tech Group (Air had brought her notebook to the table and was writing down ideas or notes between bites) and some sneezing from Teresa, who was sick with a cold. As dinner neared to a close, Air stepped to the head of the table and called for attention.

"Tommorrow we're going to start collecting supplies," She announced. "Indigo's in charge of getting a bezoar, Brookeira's in charge of getting as much diamond and as pure diamond as possible, Shadow Dragon's in charge of burning down a fir tree and collecting the ash, the Tech Team needs to figure out more ingredients, and I want everyone else to start thinking up ways to kill a Chimera."

"Okay," Everyone murmured and started to drift away.

Seeing how depressed everyone was Brookeira said, "GUYS WE CANT GIVE UP. We can do this thing, we're CBers. Do it for Somebody and Blonde Heroines Rule, for Cayke and Ruby, for Masked Piester and Hacker Dee, for Baelfire and Misti. Do it in rememberance of all who we have lost. Make them proud!"

S.E. sat up straighter in her seat. "YEAH!"

Teresa nodded, but still looked a little bit downcast. Tracing one finger along the edge of the table. "When you say all the names it's hard to believe how many CBers are zombified. There are only"-Teresa counted-"Ten CBers left, twelve if you count Nixa...  Ahh-ahhCHOOO... and Silvery Ink."

Indigo gave Teresa a side hug.

Teresa shook Indigo off. "Don't hug me, I'm sick."

"Oh, right," Said Indigo.

"Yeah, well the twelve us are going to cream those aliens!" Air said determinedly.

".... I MISS MP, I haven't been pied in forever," Squeak said quietly.

"Yeah!!" Axis said, grinning at Air. "And the zombies... and the Chimera. They're going DOWN!!"

Danie pied Squeak. "There? Feel better?"

Squeak gave Danie a ghost of a smile. "A bit."

Indigo, four conditions if I don't pull my charrie:

I don't shout (no GUYS WE CAN'T GIVE UP or COME BACK ALREADY, I don't say sentences like that either. Unless I'm truly, truly mad, I don't shout.)

I don't jump to conclusions (oh, well this child must be an alien! Not like I could ask him questions or subtly test him! Seriously, I'm a pretty look-before-you-leap type person.)

I do not hurt people with no meaning (better SHOVE A KNIFE into this kid's arm, not like I could prick him with a needle!)

And, last but not least, I can pull her at any time from this without any argument or further discussion (this is if you break the above three rules).

Okay, ..., you're right... I was just really shocked by that incident with the kid. Do whatever you want with my charrie, Indigo. I'm sorry for being a stick in the mud.

I'm sorry I didn't post for so long. I kind of lost inspiration soo I decided to skip ahead a day. Everyone is getting decked out to fight the Chimera.

Indigo slid a dark blue hair dryer grappling hook into the cobalt leathery pouch that hung off her cobalt leather belt. She grabbed her ginkowood and veela hair wand and slid it smoothly into its sheath. Pulling her blue-tipped hair back she tugged it up into a high, bouncy ponytail.

Next to her Air tugged on a pair of fingerless black gloves that had a control panel on the back of the left one. She swiped her finger across the screen and pressed a button. The boots she was wearing, which were light and suple, lit up. Air pressed another button and her helmet buzzed to life. Air was also wearing a black leather jacket and a pair of cargo pants.

S.E. was wearing a black shirt and a green vest which had many pockets holding various gadgets she and Air had made, green cargo pants and black fingerless gloves.

Axis was decked out in suple red shoes, white cargo pants and a simple black shirt. Her hair was pulled back and she had on fingerless red gloves.

Brookeira walked in carrying a block of lead. She explained the plan: "Feed the Chimera lead, when the lead melts, it chokes the Chimera."

Squeak nodded, smoothing back his blonde mohawk. He was wearing a longsleeved gray t shirt and white cargo pants.

Nixa walked in with Teresa beside her. Teresa looked exhausted. Her eyes had circles under them and she kept coughing.

"Are you okay?" Danie asked, tying up her combat boots. Danie had her blonde hair hidden under a dirty green beanie. The black material of her fingerless gloves crinkled as she slipped a green hair dryer grappling hook into her belt pocket.

Teresa sighed, saying, "I don't think I should go with you guys. I feel really sick." She rubbed her eyes with one hand and tried not to yawn.

Air nodded, helping Shadow Dragon into another piece of the dragon armor. "You'd be okay with staying home alone, right?" Air said.

"Yeah," replied Teresa.

"I'm ready to go whenever you are," Indigo said, standing up.

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be," Air said, nervously tucking a strand of hair back.

"A Chimera..." Squeak muttered, shuddering, then glanced up and quickly said, "Yeah I'm ready."

Brookeira came in decked out with a sleeveless icy blue shirt that shimmered almost eerily. She was also wearing boots that matched and her eyes glinted regally. "Ready."

"Ready," Nixa said.

"Ready."

"Ready."

"I'm ready."

"Me too."

"Bye guys!!" Teresa said.

They all twisted their watches and spun back in time.

"Where's the Chimera???" Indigo asked, looking around.

"Should be coming- just about- NOW," Said Brookeira.

And right on schedule was the Chimera.

The Chimera sprinted out of the brush persuing a running, screaming form that lost itself in the vegetation on the other side of the clearing. The Chimea's dragon tail swished. The lion head soon spotted the CBers. Tail lashing, the Chimera sprinted at them.

"Brookeira, can you freeze the Chimera?" S.E. asked, trying to get the lead out of the backpack she was carrying.

"Yeah," Brookeira said, putting her feet apart and holding her hands together, slightly cupped. A blast of ice shot out and the Chimera froze.

"We'll need to drop the lead in," Air said.

"I can carry it," Shadow Dragon replied, picking up the lead in one of her huge talons.

"The ice is melting!!" Brookeira called. "Please hurry!"

Shadow Dragon shot into the air, swooping up and positioning herself above the Chimera. "I need it to open it's mouth!"

Indigo screamed, "Brookeira, let go of the Chimera when Shadow Dragon. When the Chimera opens its mouth to flame at you, Shadow Dragon, drop the lead into it's mouth!"

"On three, Shadow Dragon! One ... Two"

~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, back home, Teresa sat back on the couch, sipping a cup of tea and blowing her nose occassionally. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. She got up. It was a letter addressed to Brookeira from Camp Half Blood. She sat back down again, wondering when Brookeira and the others would be back. She worried that someone would die to the Chimera. If they did get burned by the Chimera, nothing would be able to bring them back, not even the zombie antidote.
Behind her, a shadowy figure silently moved towards her, slowly stretching out towards her shadow...
~~~~~~~~~~~

"... THREE!"

Brookeira let go. Shadow Dragon hovered overhead nervously, waiting for the Chimera to try to flame at her. But the Chimera wasn't going for her, it was going for Brookeira.

Shadow Dragon swooped downwards and then back upwards, drawing the Chimera's attention to her. The Chimera shot out flame before Shadow Dragon was ready. The fire burnt the edge of Shadow Dragon's wing.

Shadow Dragon managed to drop the lead into the Chimera's mouth before it closed it's mouth. The Chimera tried to flame at her again but only melted the lead. Struggling for breath, the Chimera lashed out with it's long tail. The tail wrapped around Air and was tightening around her when Axis chopped through the tail with her pocket knife.

Gasping for breath, Air stepped back. "Thanks," She said to Axis.

Shadow Dragon swooped to the ground, landing a good distance away from the roiling Chimera. Turning back into a human, she joined the other CBers as they stood watching the Chimera die.

The Chimera stopped moving. Gingerly Shadow Dragon picked her way towards it, as if afraid the Chimera would suddenly thrash back to life. She placed one hand on the Chimera's lion head but the Chimera did not react. She turned. "It's dead," She said, her voice harsh with relief.

The CBers gathered around it. Carefully they lifted the tail out of under the Chimera.

Indigo knelt next to the tail and carefully tugged a scale out of the Chimera's tail. "How many do we need?" She asked Air.

"I don't know. Please get all we can; we can always sell the rest, they'll be worth a fortune."

Indigo tugged out scale after scale, carefully tucking them into her cobalt leather pouches.

Squeak remarked to Axis, "You know, that was kind of fun."

"That's good," Air said, "Because the tech team and I need a Basilisk Fang."

"What else do we need?"

"We're not exactly sure, we may realize we need other ingredients, but we know we need a bezoar stone, fir wood ash, graphite, Chimera scale, liquid diamond, Dragon Blood, zombie blood, and something to hold all of it together."

"We use nokeitte," Nixa said. "It binds eternally."

"Okay, nokeitte," Air said, pulling out her notebook and noting it down.

"What have we already gotten?" Indigo asked, coming back carrying the Chimera scales in a box about 12' by 9'.

"Chimera scale, fir wood ash, bezoar, diamond (but it's not liquid) and graphite."

They spun their watches and teleported home.

Brookeira flopped down on a chair. Her chest was heaving and she looked exhausted from working so hard to stop the Chimera. "Hey, I can get you some aspirn if you want" Danie said.

"That would be great," Brookeira said. Danie left the room to get it.

Indigo sat down next to Teresa, who was flopped back into the shadows."Feelin' better?"

Air grabbed a can of soda and popped it open, laughing as it sprayed all over her shirt.

"I can do that better!" Axis challenged. Air smirked. "Lets see you try," She playfully challenged, tossing Axis a can of soda.

"Teresa?" Indigo asked, looking a bit worried.

Axis opened up the soda can. It sprayed all over Teresa but Teresa didn't move.

"Teresa??" Shadow Dragon asked, looking a bit nervous. "Are you ok??"

Danie walked in carrying some asprin. "Sorry it took me so lo-" She dropped the aspirin, staring wide eyed at Teresa. "Indigo, move away from it."

Indigo stepped away. Teresa stepped off the couch. She had no shadow.

Danie stared right into the eyes of 'Teresa'. "Come on you, you coward."

Red smoke shot out of Teresa's eyes and into Danie's. Danie's shadow shot into her heels, then lengthened. Danie dropped too the floor jerking and kicking.

Teresa: "Wha-What's going on?"

Air replied, "I'll explain later, ok?"

"What should we do??" Squeak asked. "We need to help her!!"

"I don't think there's anything we can do," Nixa said. "If we punch Danie we may not be punching that ... thing ... just Danie."

Axis groaned. "This is so frusterating."

Danie sat up, her movements mechanical, her shadow gone.

"DANIE!!" Squeak screamed. "COME ON TAKE CONTROL AGAIN"

Danie jerked back down, her shadow stretching back out. She tossed and turned on the floor, then slowly she stopped jerking about as much.

"Danie?" Brookeira asked.

"Y-yeah?" Danie asked, panting as she slowly sat up.

"DANIE!!" Squeak yelled, running towards her, arms outstretched as if to hug her. Suddenly he jerked back. "Its too bad you didn't die, you know... then I wouldn't have to deal with you and your unicorn ray."

"Danie, turn around," Nixa said.

Danie twirled around. She had a shadow, but it was more liquid and fluidy than before.

"What did you do to the ... thing?" S.E. asked.

"I ... I don't know, it's still there, but inside me, in little pieces, like I ... ate it, I guess," Danie replied.

"Does that mean you can control people??" Axis asked.

"Maybe," Danie said, and stared at Axis for a minute. Nothing changed.

"I guess not," said Air.

"No wait, look!" Squeak said, pointing at Axis's shadow, which was standing on it's head.

"AWESOME!!" Danie yelled.

"Can someone ... explain what is ... going on?" Teresa asked weakly.
