Secret Jewels RP

Secret Jewels RP

So basically I got this idea for a story one night. What if we had a group of characters who all represent and are named after a certain jewel/gemstone? And they pretty much go on a special quest to unlock their potential and save the world. (More details later)

Only up to 2 charries per person. Also, please make your charrie's jewel their name, and their last name the color of said jewel. Ex: Ruby Red. If your jewel comes in different colors, pick a color of your choice for their last name, as long as it makes logical sense. Ex: Opal Blue.

Powers are acceptable, but only one maximum per character. Please don't be too OP, or I may ask you to change it.

Full name:

Age:

Appearance:

Personality:

Power if applicable:

I will post my own charrie later.

We can start as soon as 4 or more people join :)

I sit by the old pond, trying not to cause a hurricane. The water floats up in blobs around me, as it often does when I'm feeling excited or nervous. My horse, Rosmary, nuzzles me. I look up into her big brown eyes, and smile at her. It feels as if she's the only friend that I have these days, ever since I found out what happens to water when I'm near it. I sigh. Then, the memories come flooding back, as if it were only yesterday, I'm sitting by the pool, shivering. The cold water seems to swirl beneath me, and I get the strange feeling that something bad will happen if I jump into it. Suddenly, I feel a swift shove behind me. Melissa, the scourge of my life, has shoved me in. But instead of the cold fear that I expected, I feal a welcoming warmth. For some reason, I'm not running out of breath as fast as I did the last time that I went underwater. I feel like I could stay under forever. I like it here. I think that I'll stay under for a while more........ I sigh, lost in thought. If only I had known. Then maybe I wouldn't have accidentally sprayed Melissa in the face. Then maybe I wouldn't have had to run away...... Not that I miss school or anything. School stunk. But at least I was around people. I wonder if there are any other people like me. I still haven't learned to control my powers yet, seeing as how I only discovered them last month. My parents don't know yet. If there were more people like me, than maybe they could teach me how to control my powers. People like me....... And I lapse into daydreams.
(By the way, Leafmist, sorry that I have the same powers as you. I didn't really thoroughly read through all the powers before I made mine up.)

Really? Sorry. I didn't mean to. Is it okay if I keep my powers?

Yeah, it's alright! I'll probably change lapis' powers anyways.

I'm changing Emerald's age to 19. Is that okay?

My day had gone from odd to brinks of insanity.

The girl. Was she another part of this dream? I was inclined to think so. She was, after all different. Her hair was dappled in shimmering rainbows, ever shifting. Her eyes seemed grey until she stepped out of the shadow, and then I realized that they were like little diamonds, sparkling mirrors. Her grace and movements mesmerized me.

After a moment, I had whispered "You're right. I'm Beryl."

She scampered over to my arrow pouch, pulling out and examining at random. "Is that all? Funny, most people have last names." She pursed her lips as she ran her finger over one arrow, then swung back her arm and launched it at the target. It fell ten feet short, splintering the arrow point. I scowled.

"Oh well," she shrugged. Never really got the use of archery."

I cut her off before she could destroy more of my property. "I do have a last name."

She grinned. "Now this is an entirely different matter. What is it?"

"Verde."

She laughed. "So you're one of us! Boy, I haven't met another in ages. What are your powers?"

My head spun. "Powers?"

So I leave the diner after I've eaten. The little girl, Elli, was sad to see me leave, but I said that maybe our paths would cross again and she confided in me as I was walking out the door that she wanted to represent rubies as a jewel seeker. She whispered so her mother didn't hear. I told her that I would do all I could to make that happen. The bell tinkles again as I walk away.

I pad through the forest, listening to the consistent sounds of the night. For fun, I make a creeper grow and sculpt itself into a viny bridge. As I walk deeper into the woods, the undergrowth becomes denser. I use my powers to move the trees and brambles into a dome above me. They were very polite and seemed rather surprised that I asked permission to move them. The dome glows with the soft pulsing light of fireflies and is silent. Now that I'm alone, I let my true feelings show. Grief. Despair. Loneliness. I allow myself to fade back into the terrible memories of that day, five years ago.... "Emerald, come on! It's fine. They're gone." my sister said playfully. "Stop being so worried!" The concealment of my emotions, an art I had perfected for fourteen years, had crumbled after the wolves attacked. Garnet smiles at me and waves an arm. "Let's go!" I scan the jungle warily, then follow. The animals of the jungle look at us as we walk through. I use magic to part the branches for us. "Come on, just a little deeper. Bagheera said that there would be a waterfall up ahead!" My sister's abilities were to talk with animals. Bagheera was a black panther she had spoken with earlier. We padded on for a few yards and reached a clearing. There was no waterfall. Garnet loved waterfalls, which was why she wanted to go anyway. But there were more wolves. Bagheera had led us to a trap. They sprang at us, and I asked a tree to carry us to safety. I made it, clothing torn to shreds by wolf claws, but Garnet didn't make it. I remembered seeing her broken body before I blacked out.

I allow the memories to take over and I collapse on the grass, sobbing. Garnet was so close to me, we were inseparable, and her loss seems fresh in my chest. Garnet...

Here I am! Two more things. Tourmaline was born with the picture of a tourmaline gem on her right upper arm. That's how she knows what she was meant to do. And she is now 17.

Tourmaline~

I play my violin in the streets, hoping that someone will pay me. Being a Jewel Seeker doesn't pay well. It's not like I chose this. I would have much preferred a nice, quiet, normal life. But no. I continue, singing along with my violin. I notice a boy come out of the restraunt I'm performing in front of. He looks about 19, and has black hair with emerald colored eyes. I stop playing, put my violin in it's beat up case, and follow him. We treck deep into the forest, me staying a bit back so he doesn't see me. My sweater occasionaly gets snagged by a branch. As we go deeper, I notice that he moves the plants without touching them. We finally reach a small clearing. The trees move closer  together at the top, until the branches are intertwined tightly. Small vines grown downward after he enters the dome, shielding the entrance. I wait a bit, when I hear sobbing. Slowly, I creep to the entrance and look through a small space between the vines. He is lying on the ground, his back to me. I watch, unmoving, curious. Move a bit back, but the heal of my boot crushes a small twig. The crack of the twig underfoot sounds like an avalanche in the darkness. The silhouette of his shadow bolts upright.

"Who's there?"

I try to run, but vines sprout from the ground and wrap themselves around my body, making it so I can't move. I hear his footsteps coming closer to the entrance. I try to struggle, to move, but the more I move, the tighter the vines wrap. I continue to struggle, the vines squeezing tighter, when the dome entrance opens.

Question. How advanced is the technology here?

I was hoping it could be kind of medieval, that would be my preference. I don't want it to be too modern. Also I had this idea that if they want to, gem seekers (that's what I call us) can turn things into the gem they represent, but it takes a lot of energy. Is that okay?

Amber~

Rosemary is clipping along at a quick pace now. I tap her lightly with my heels, and she breaks into a gallop. I'm not sure why, but it seems that the ocean is calling me. This whole thing with me being able to control the water has been really weird, but I feel like it has some purpose, that there's  some reason for this to happen to me. I finally reach the ocean, and the tug inside my gut gets stronger. I follow it, and finally I reach a spot where it stops. I stand there for a moment. After standing there for a bit, I am getting ready to leave. Suddenly a blonde head burst through the water. Rosemary and I both jump slightly. The girl gives me a strange look. After we stare at each other in silence for a while, she says "Are you a jewel seeker?" I stare at her. "I..... I'm not really sure." I respond. She laughs. "Can you do anything, well" she looks around, as if checking for eavesdroppers. Her voice drops. "Special?  Can you move stuff like this?" She raises her hand, and a huge wave of water lifts into the air. She's really strong. Instinctively, I lift my hands in front of my face. A rather thin wall of water rises in front of me, nothing compared to the storm that she has, but something nonetheless. The wall of water subsides. The girl is looking at me, smiling. "My name is Aqua," she says. "And you are a jewel seeker."
