I think it’s good Pearl, I like that you showed Bastion’s honorable nature.

The carriage rolls to a stop in front of the castle and my door is opened. I step out and ascend the steps leading to the palace. The massive front doors, which are covered in intricate designs and ancient lettering, are opened, and I step through. I walk down the long entrance hallway and open a door to a narrow hallway with four doors off it, two on either side. Taking the second door to the left, I run up the short staircase, walk down another hallway, turn to the right, and go up a final staircase to my room.

The room is simply called “Cerulean”  The decor is filled with shades of blue, ranging from teal to navy. Huge windows encompass the southern wall, and a large canopy bed takes up one corner of the room.

Something Lord Grafton had said worries me, and I hurry to my bookshelf, to anxiously search the books I had pilfered from the palace library. Bypassing An Advanced Guide to Court Etiquette, A History of Fayry, and Talismans: What they are and Where to find them, I select Magic and War, by far the oldest book on my shelf, and begin to read.

Would it be too OP if I had Collete's family disappear somehow? Maybe they could be captured by the enemy or something, and then she could live at the castle and interact more with the other characters? What do you guys think?

Colette~
I watched the boy hurry into the castle, calling for help, and felt a sudden urge to follow him. Who was that girl he was carrying? How did she get hurt? And why did that boy choose to help her? But I knew my mother would be waiting. I stole one last glance at the castle before trudging up the hill towards home.
As soon as I pushed the door open and stepped inside, I knew something was wrong. First, our tiny two-room house was pitch black. Mother always left the lamp by the door burning for me when I got home after my lessons, even if she had gone to bed already. And second, it was eerily quiet.
Sorry guys, I'll finish this up later after school.

Colette~ (continued)

Silently, I set my books down by the door and took another step forward. A breeze from outside blew in, causing the door to squeak loudly as it swayed back and forth. I closed it. "Hello?" I called softly. I was just about to search the house when I heard a low moaning coming from the very walls themselves. My heartbeat quickened, and even though I knew it was just the house creaking in the wind, I decided to arm myself. Cautiously, I bent down to retrieve a book from my stack on the floor. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that the book was conveniently titled The Art of Unconciousness: Proper Positioning, Fainting Tactics, and Much More! I quickly scanned through it, tentatively hoping there would be something on how to actually knock someone else out, instead of just how to be knocked out. Of course there wasn't. Sighing, I stepped away from the door and began my search.

So far I had searched the whole dining hall/living room twice, and there didn't seem to be a hair out of place. I had decided not to take the lamp with me, it would be too much of a giveaway. I finally began to breathe after I had finished searching the fireplace a third time, although my face and hands were covered in soot. I wiped my hands on my skirts, getting most of the grime off, but there was nothing to be done about my face. Despite my appearance, I was actually quite pleased with myself. Until I reached the bedroom. As soon as I stepped inside the tiny room, I had to bite down hard on my toungue to keep myself from screaming at the sight. The thin blankets that usually covered the bed neatly were all askew, some of them lying in defeated heaps on the floor. Mother's lovely hand-carved dressing table was completely flipped over with scratches covering its smooth surface, and my small wardrobe was missing one of its doors. I looked around at the mess and my eyes welled with tears at the sight of our cozy bedroom torn apart limb from limb. But suddenly a greater realization dawned on me, and my knees bacame so wobbly that I collapsed on the bed in shock. Whoever had done this, whoever taken my home and purposefully destroyed it, they had also taken something even more precious to me than my belongings: they had taken my family.

As I head to my dormitory, I hear screaming and rush to help. A girl is sobbing. "My family' has disappeared," she wails. She tells me what happened. I am stunned. The enemy is more powerful than I thought. "You need to train," I tell her. I take her to the commander.

If the recruits go to their houses and sleep, let me know.

Ok, so I haven't been writing, and I'm sorry about that, but why don't I start the next day of training?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lily~
I wake up in to Max looking down on me with curious eyes.
"What is it, Max?" I ask groggily.
"Mama told me to come wake you. 'She has to go to training even though she hurts bad, Mama said'. So, I comed to wake you!" He replys. She was right, I ache all over! But, she is also right that I have to get to training. Unless your dead or have an infectious disease, you're going to training.
I smile up at my brother. "Well, thank you for waking me up, Max. You don't have to help me get dressed, like you were forced to do last night. I'm not that hurt!" Max smiles in relief and begins to leave. "But, Max!" I call back. He turnes. "Don't say 'comed'. That isn't a word. The correct word is 'came'."
Max looks confused, but doesn't ask more. "Ok" is all he says.
      **********
It's training once more for me. This time, we get to choose our partners. I sigh with relief. I don't have to battle that jerk like yesterday! I scan the crowd, looking for someone more to the likes of my strength. Someone taps my shoulder. I turn around. Ugh, it's the boulder, come to destroy me!
"I think we have some unfinished business to take care of." He says, eagerly cracking his knuckles. I groan,
"Not you again?" I say as though the brute was just scab that could not be flicked off, and not someone almost seriously ingured me. This fight would be less fun than the last. What did he want from me? I am about to give in to death when I get into a fighting position-all of the swords had already been taken-when a boy comes up to meet the challenger instead. I am somewhat relieved at not having to fight the brute, but I also don't want to come off as helpless. I am about to object to his atempt at protecting me, until I see who it is. It's the boy that carried to the infermary last night! I had only glanced at him for a second then, but from seeing him now, I knew it was him.
Forgetting my objection, I say, "You don't have to do this. You've already protected me from him once before."
He smiles, "I'll be fine," he says.
*breaths heavily* That took longer to write than it had to be. Anyway, Bastion just put himself in danger, something is going to happen.
Cameron says 'Drrm' Dream, Cameron? Yes, I am tired, too.
