The Eld-Bloods were cherished.
And rare.
Sometimes they didn't know what they were, sometimes they did. But at some point, the Elders find them.
Rescue them.
Bring them to safety.
The Eld-Bloods are always in danger. Like Half-Bloods (read Percy Jackson), the monsters can catch their scent. Monsters, Eld-Bloods gone bad. No one knows how the first one was created. No one ever will. But they were there, they were always there, the ones who let the evil control them, the ones that mutated and became monstrous, inhuman.

If you haven't guessed, Eld-Bloods are creatures. Mythical or not, whatever you want. Make something up if you'd like. The youngest Eld-Bloods are searched for and brought to a school hidden in the core of the Earth, where they are taught how to control and endure their powers, at the same time being kept safe. The Elders are their teachers, and the Eldest the leader of them all.
The Eldest is a dragon, a gigantic red dragon. He's a good creature, speaks and controls himself. But like all dragons, he needs to breathe. Most Eld-Bloods have special needs such as this, and the Eld Academy (although they just call it the Academy) takes care of them. It's not uncommon for children to vanish on the full moon, or eat only raw meat.
There are many types of students at the Academy, and they all approach this differently. Some will just tell what they are. Some will treat it as more of a secret and tell select people. Some will tell no one, absolutely no one and keep their secret as close to them as possible. And some prey on the ones who do not tell and try to get them to.
A new group of students has just come in. You can be one of them or an older student.
The rules:
-Be rational with your Eld-Blood, please. If there are already three werewolves, say, choose something else. And try to think about how rare certain creatures would be. For example, a harpy is probably a lot less known than a vampire, so there will probably be more vampires than there will be harpies.
-Again, diversity, with the secret-keeping. I'd prefer if there were more of the first two, a few of the last one, and a small number of the remaining. And if there are, say, three I-won't-keep-a-secrets, three tell-select-peoples, two tell-no-ones, and one tell-your-secret, try to be the latter.
-No OPs. I think this goes without saying. If you're a dragon, give it a weak spot. And, accordingly, let's not have any under-powers either. You may be a mouse animagus, but that doesn't mean you have to be a coward.

Name: Aoife (Ee-fah)
Age: 10
Appearance: 
Plus a white coat that she always, always wears. Small for her age.
Personality: Very, very shy. She rarely speaks, and when she does she tumbles over the words. She acts younger than she is. Her species, to her, is her deepest, darkest secret and only the Elders know about it. To herself, though, she describes her soul as a fireplace, and all it needs is some more gas.
Creature: Selkie. Selkies can't speak without their coats, which double as skins (see Powers). They're from Irish mythology and are always female.
Powers: Selkies have incredible singing voices, and for this some myths depict them a bit like the Greek's Sirens, luring sailors to their deaths. As long as they have their coat, which is their sealskin, they can turn into seals.
Backstory: A new student, Aoife grew up in Ireland, and English is not her first language (yes, I know they mostly speak English in Ireland, but Irish is a language, believe it or not). Her mother vanished shortly after she was born, and her father was killed by a monster hunting her.

Powers: well obviously she can fly. And also she can shape shift into a full dragon but she doesn't tell anyone

OH MY CAT OH MY CAT OH MY CAT OH MY CAT!!! ST. OWL READ THE SECRETS OF THE IMMORTAL NICHOLAS FLAMEL! At least I think she did because her charrie's Irish (like Michael Scott, author of those books) and named Aoife, who's one of the characters!!! I thought I was the only one! Seriously, the first thread I made on the CB was a Nicholas Flamel RP! St, if you didn't read those awesome books then just ignore this :/ Anyway, I'm joining.
Name: Panthea
Age: 12
Appearance: Also he's really big; 7' long with a 14' wingspan. And he can turn into a human.
Personality: Fierce, proud, easily offended, also fair. Always speaks up for himself and doesn't allow himself to be a doormat for someone else. His weakness is his pride. Sometimes it blinds him to what's best.
Creature: Couatl (Winged Serpent)
Power: Well..... I guess he can turn into a human, but he would still have serpentine characteristics like the wings and scales. Besides that, I don't think he's got any magical powers.
Backstory: Panthea comes from Aztec lands. He lived with a group of couatls, and they were content and peaceful. But then the humans came. The humans were threatened by the majestic serpents and started killing them off. Panthea tried to save his family, but they all fell to the humans' spears except his sister, Erianthe. They traveled together for a time, always keeping one jump ahead of the humans pursuing them, determined to end the race of the Couatls forever. In his case, the humans were the monsters.
But one night after Panthea almost got Erianthe and himself killed, Erianthe grew angry. She began to doubt that Panthea could keep them safe, and despite her brother's anxious pleas, left him. He let her go, knowing that nothing could sway a couatl once it knew what it wanted. He was left all alone, worrying about his sister, fending for himself, when the Elders came. They took him to the Core of the Earth to..... go to school.
Other: His sister, Erianthe, is an enemy of the Academy.

I've read that series! Although, I stopped at the 5th book. There were just so many characters and so many plots and POVs, I couldn't keep track of it all. I might try reading the series again sometime. I'm worried about Aoife...

St.Owl has not read The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel. St. has a book of Irish legends and this book names the evil stepmother from The Children of Lir (read it, it's an excellent myth) as Aoife.

Name: Nicohle Macheri
Age: 16
Appearance: She's got this beautiful, almost etherel beauty. She's got silky, glossy black hair, big blue eyes, and a dimpled smile. A few freckles spot her small, snubbed nose. Everything about her, from her perfectly manicured feet to her glossy hair, is graceful or pretty in some way.
Personality: She knows she looks good, but she doesn't just use her Thrall. She wants the girls to see how perfect she is, too, so she will do a thousand thousand things to look better; she knows her body from head to toe and how to make it look her best. She's not very athletic and doesn't preform well academically. She chooses a guy and allows him to court her, veiwing guys a bit more as trophies. She's clever and cunning, but because she never loves anyone and has no other powers, she holds guys over other girl's heads, taunting them because that all she has. Generally a despicable person, but not so bad in the very inside. Would totally sell out a secret for something she wants; everyone already knows she's a Veela, though.
Creature: She's a Veela, meaning she has a "Thrall" she uses to control people. It attracts males, making them fall all over her, but has no power over females. I've decided not to include the other Harry Potter parts of the Veela though; she can't transform and doesn't throw fireballs.
Powers: Thrall; the weakness on the Thrall is it's hard to control, so she'll get creeps following her around all day; and also that it doesnt' work on girls.
Backstory: Her Veela family is pretty rich, and all went to the Academy, so they sent her there.

Name: Aithne
Age: 13
Appearance: Red hair with blondeish and orangeish bits; curly and hard to control, her hair is the thing people tend to notice first about her. She's tall and slim, with freckles on the bridge of her nose; she's got a certain intimidating beauty about her, but she's not drop dead gorgeous. Her eyes are a light green ringed by brown with a shine of yellow. Her smirk also serves a smile- that says a lot about her right there.
Personality: She's arrogant and competitive. Quick to anger and quick to forgive, she's rash, brave and a little bit evil. She's smart and sarcastic and knows it, and expects to be the best at everything, even if she isn't. Not sure about the secrets things- what's with that anyway? She thinks like someone a lot older than her and has about zero innocence.
Creature: She isn't sure. She thinks she's some kind of fire elf.
Powers: Fire obeys her. It will obey the general gist of the thing, but is mostly powered by her emotions- and it tends to burn everything, even her. She had scars up and down her arms to prove it.
Backstory: She lived in an orphanage for a while, and then got adopted. That didn't work out so well- they adopted her and then had their own kid and favored their own kid- so she ended up in jail a lot, mostly for arson.
Other: Her weakness; she's not really in control of anything- her powers, her emotions, her life. She's powerful but not in control, so she messes everything up, including the stuff she cares about the most.

Hey everybuggy!!!! St. Owl, happy birthday! YAYY I'M ALL HYPED UP ON SUGAR YIPPEE!!!!!!!! *Ahem.* Sorry about that. I'm not here to declare that I'm hyper on sugar, actually.

Besides for that obviosly pointed remark, I'm ready to join. Here are my charries:
Name: Shasta
Age: 13
Appearance: In griffin form, she has the same milky brown eyes as in human form, golden brown feathers, and the back half of her is a tawny lion pelt, of course. She also has a slim figure which seems to undermine her, but her eyes stare at you with intensity that reminds you not to forget about her. In human form, she's slim with a nice golden brown colored skin, golden-brown hair, large golden brown wings and a lion tail, and usually wears a purple T-shirt and jeans.
Personality: Sweet, smart, wry, a bit sarcastic.
Creature: Griffin
Powers: Can fly, has really sharp talons and a really sharp beak.
Backstory: Her parents died 8 years ago in a battle, and Shasta feels like she needs to become a war griffin to respect her parent's memory.
Other: Has a twin, Saki. Shasta's weakness: She has always felt kind of like the odd one out.
Here's my other charrie:
Name: Saki
Age: 13
Appearance: In griffin form, she has leafy green eyes which are the same in human form, golden feathers with a slight dusky brown to them, is the bigger of the twins by a bit. In human form, she has the same leafy green eyes, tan skin, and browney-gold hair. She has large golden wings with a slight dusky brown to them and a lion tail, and usually wears a turquoise T-shirt and jeans.
Personality: Doesn't stand bullying, is quick-tempered and sarcastic. Also very smart, like her sister.
Creature: Griffin.
Powers: Well, the normal griffin deckout. Flying, has sharp talons and a sharp beak, you know.
Backstory: Saki's parents were war griffins, and they died in a battle 8 years ago. Saki has decided never to be a war griffin, lest she face the same fate as her parents.
Other: Saki's weakness: If she sees someone in danger, she is compelled to go back and help. Un weakness: She has a twin, Shasta.

Name: Teshio Ishikari (Admins: Names of two rives, translates to Heavnly Salt (should change my name to this) and Stone Gathering
Age: Not sure as of now. We've got a lot of older students, but not too many of the new kids. If he's a secret keeper, he'll be 12. If he takes secrets, he'll be 14.
Appearance: He looks like a kappa. Kappa are small (about the height of a child) green, turtle-like beings. I highly recommend looking one up for a picture.
Personality: Mischevious and perhaps somewhat evil. If you need someone to try to worm secrets out of people, I volunteer him. He's conniving and devious.
Creature: Kappa
Powers: Can breathe underwater and on land. Can swim very well. Has a bowl of water atop his head that if it spills, renders him useless. He has a hat with a lid for that purpose. Very strong and good at wrestling. Has an innate fondness for cucumbers.
Backstory: Teshio was born in a small rural area of Japan. Like many kappa Eld-bloods, he was raised in order to cause other's harm. It's fun, it's games. It's interesting to try to let other eld-bloods spill the beans. Is he a monster? Perhaps. Perhaps not.
Other: He'll probably be a secret stealer, unless a bunch of others show up.
