The plot is...well, it's hard to explain. If you trust me, just join and wait for the story to unfold.

Oh, one last thing- I can't guarantee that I can post on weekdays, so I will post one part every weekend, and work on it during the week.

Alright, I've got the first part under way and I'll post it as soon as I can. Possibly on Tuesday, possibly on Thursday, possibly you'll have to wait 'till Saturday. *Smiles mischevously* Keep it topped!

Oh, and KtG, can you post your sheet as soon as possible? If not, I'm thinking I can just put you in as a mysterious, cloaked Master Jedi until you post it.

Oh, I sing my top song

Hoping nothing's wro-ong

Hoping nothing's wro-ong

I sing this top song to top this

So the thread shall be in endless bliss

And I'm horrible at rhyming this

So TOP!

Sorry it took me so long to get this out, but I've been busy this week. Anyway, without further ado....

Part 1

“Wingardium Leviosa!” Little Reader shouted, waving her wand furiously at Daisy, who bestowed a patronizing smile on Little Reader. “It’s Wingardium Leviosa.” Daisy flicked her wand carelessly and Little Reader’s glasses floated off her nose an inch, then hovered back down.

“Where did Professor Arden even get the brilliant idea to pair fourth years with fifth years?” A passing student muttered bitterly.

“Ahem—end of class, everyone!” Professor Arden called. A flurry of noise followed, as the students gathered their bags and made a rush for the door. Daisy and Little Reader found themselves pushed together in the crowd. “Hey,” Little Reader whispered. “Can you meet me after lunch, outside? I-I’d like some help with my…levitating charm. It’s embarrassing, that I still can’t get it right, in my fourth year.” Daisy shrugged. “Sure.” Then she melted away into the crowd, leaving Little Reader to make her way to her next class.

~~~
“Ensign Ronan, how much more time until we reach the next starbase?” Ronan sat up straight and glanced at his navigational screen. “Eighteen hours, twenty-three minutes, Captain.” “Good. If anyone needs me, I’ll be in my ready room. Commander Deza, take the bridge.”
Ronan leaned his chin on his hand, and idly looked over a report. Though he usually was alert and ready when on the bridge, he had not slept well the night before and he was finding it hard to keep his eyes open.
His intercom crackled. “Ensign Ronan, this is Lieutenant Mirax. Please report to the observation lab immediately.” Ronan pressed he intercom badge. “Acknowledged. I’ll be there as soon as I can.”
He stood up, motioning another officer to take his place. Then he strode over to the automatic doors, brushing his hair back.
Three minutes later, he walked through the doors of the observation lab. He immediately spotted Mirax, who was standing by the window and nervously straightening her Engineering uniform. Ronan could tell by her expression that something was wrong.
“Ensign Ronan—Ronan, look at this.” Mirax pointed her finger out the window. Ronan looked, and gave a start. A massive, swirling black object was directly outside the window. Ronan didn’t know why, but it sent shivers down his spine.
“Ronan?” Mirax’s voice sounded strange—panicky. “What is it? I don’t recognize it. Do you?” “I cannot recall anything like it, Lieutenant.” Ronan said slowly. “Don’t call me Lieutena—oh, forget it! Wha—“
The object suddenly started swirling so fast it hurt Ronan’s eyes. It came closer, closer….
~~~

Anadell crept through the forest, her sword strapped across her back.

A cracking sound, like somebody stepped on a twig, rang out through the trees. Anadell’s muscles tensed. The day before, a dormouse from just east of Redwall Abbey, where she was now, had come scurrying into the abbey to say that he had seen a large, furry shape in the trees next to his home. Abbot Horace had thought it was probably just a solitary badger or hare, but he had sent Anadell to investigate it.

She shook herself from her thoughts and concentrated on the situation, sneaking forward to where the crack had seemingly come from.

Suddenely, a cold, sharp object pressed against the back of her neck, and a gruff female voice whispered in her ear, “Don’t move, vermin, or I swear I’ll kill you.”

Anadell ducked and rolled away. She pulled her sword out and leaped to her paws. An otter stood in front of her, looking slightly disappointed.

Her pelt was dark, almost black, matching her fierce black eyes. A deep scar ran across her face and sown her neck.

“You’re not a vermin. I thought maybe you were a weasel. But you’re an otter—like me.”

Anadell slowly sheathed her sword, looking at the other otter uncertainly.

“I’m Cho Chang, last of the Breakwater clan.” She held out her hand confidently. “And you are…?”

“Anadell, Warrior of Redwall Abbey.” Anadell shook it. “I—“

A cloud fell over them. “Huh?” Cho looked up. A swirly dark red cloud hovered over them.

Anadell’s sword scraped against its scabbard as she drew it out again. “What is that?” Then it swirled around them, and they were gone.

Sweet!!

But could my name get changed to Clear Brook? I was thinking maybe since she was the last of the Breakwater that they could have different names than most otters.
