I came up with this idea a while ago, but I didn't really think about making it into a thread.
Let me fill you in.
So this is a contest where you will pick a partner, and the two of you will do an RR together. It might seem complicated, but you're going to be doing the RR right here-- you each will have your own section for it. After there are the set amount of teams, I will make posts saying "(name) and (name)'s RR" in bold, and you will RR under that post.
To keep it short, I'm only going to have teams of two for the RRs.
RULES
1) Only six teams of two allowed.
2) I will judge; the winning team um...wins.
3) RRs can be as short or long as you wish, but there's a theme: write about Christmas from the POV of an animal of your choice. Each team has to write about a different animal; if someone has already picked an animal that you wanted, choose a different one.
Once there are six teams, I will post the deadline.

You know how during Christmas time there are usually horse drawn carriages in the cities? Well, maybe we could do something from the perpective of the horses?
Just trying to brainstorm. Have you got any ideas?

Something was wrong.
Polar lifted his nose up and took in a deep whiff.
Yes. Something was definitely wrong.
There was a new scent in the house, something he had never smelled before. It was a deep and foresty scent that reminded him too much of living on the sides of roads in the countryside.
He padded out of the kitchen (where he had previously been "cleaning" the floor) into the living room.
And then he saw it. A big shaggy tree had taken up residence in the corner next to his bed.

Polar sniffed curiously at the tree. Why was it next to his bed? Humans just didn't understand things sometimes...
He whined and marked his territory just as the older human came in. She saw Polar and her face grew hard. She yelled something and hit him on the leg. Polar whimpered and slink ed out the doggy door into the backyard.

The night was dark and exhilerating. Shouts and burts of colorful lights erupted from the streets and the tops of high buildings. Two teenagers stood arguing in the open doorway of one of these buildings. Above their heads, a sign attached to a flapping multicolored flag read: "security."
"Oh come on, it will be fun!" Keen tugged at his best friend's hand. "I'll buy us OrangeWonders, we can watch the Dragon Tournaments..." he pleaded. Fermata couldn't help smiling a little as she replied:
"Keen Scartington, we were ordered to guard the festival, not buy OrangeWonders..." her eyes glazed over a little as she thought of the sweet treat made only once a year at the famous Festival of Light. "Okay. Let's go. But if anyone attacks the Majara Diamond display, it will be your fault," Fermata said, tossing her hair over her shoulder. Keen smirked.
"I can live with that," he replied as he lead Fermata into the crowded streets.

I promise you that my post should be ready soon. It's just hard to fit in time to write in between swim practice, homework, studying for the SSATs, and finding time to eat/ sleep! It's almost done and should be up either tomorrow or Sunday. Apologies!

I think we're supposed to RR under this post? Anyways, let's just go with it. Which animal? I think we could do a regular animal transported to a fantasy world... but we have to fit the Christmas scene in. Oh! I have an idea! We could do one of Santa's reindeer! What do you think?

Sure! Should it be first person or third? I'll make it third person, I guess. Lets going to make it about all of them competing to be one of the ones to pull Santa's sleigh? I'll make it a girl. Tell me if you like the name.

The bright, multicolored lights twinkled in Santa's workshop as Holli trotted in, watching the elves all busy at work. It was three days before Christmas Eve, December 21, the day before the grand competition for the next reindeer who would help pull Santa's sleigh. It was a huge honor to be chosen, and this year was the first year Holli was competing.
After a quick look around, Holli walked back outside into the snow. The snowflakes were falling, and all the young reindeer were rolling around, playing together. Holli squinted her eyes and looked towards the open fields, seeing brown reindeer running around, all practicing for the race. She smiled, stretched her legs, and broke into a full gallop, aiming directly toward the field.
The wind whistled in her ears as she ran, leaping into the air like an arrow. Soon, she was at the field with all the other reindeer, "Hello!" She greeted them cheerfully.
"Hi, Holli," Her best friend, Lystal, walked up to her, smiling, "Are you nervous?"
Holli nodded, "Yes."
