Spy RP!

Spy RP!

**************************************

I creep along in the shadows, determined to deliver the note, no matter what. I know that I'm risking my life. If I am found out, I will die. Moonlight slants through the dark oak leave and illuminated the little cottage in the distance. That is my goal. That is where I need to deliver the message. A gust of wind blows the leaves of the tree as they dance across the night sky in a twirling pattern. I slip between the flower beds without a sound and clamber up the front porch. There is a reason I was selected to be the Messenger. Because of my stealth and slender frame. There's a reason my nickname is Moonlight Cat. I slip the parchment envelope into the door frame and silently disappear back into the shadows.

*************************************

I yawned as I grudgingly woke up, and slammed the alarm silent. The pillow felt stiffer, yet I know I did not loose a tooth to the tooth fairy.

I raised my pillow, there was nothing.

I looked between the sheets of my pillow, and there was a small, hardcover yiddish-english(yes, it's a real language) dictionary. I took the book out and inspected it carefully. I have no need of a yiddish dictionary. I don't live anywhere where they speak yiddish, or have any classmates at school who speak it. All I know is that there is a mysterious yiddish dictionary in my pillow covers.

I opened the book up, and voila, a secret compartment. It was entirely empty, except for a small rolled up peice of paper.

I opened it up and it says:

Dear Heather Kyte,

We trust that you will keep this a secret from EVERYONE. You must not even tell your parents or closest friends, or our society and your safety will be in danger. You will meet tommorow, at midnight, in the tree in your backyard. You must arrive alone.

There was no sign of who sent it on the message.

Ezra-

"Go collect the mail, Ezra." Snapped my Mother, glaring at me from behind her newspaper. She's angry with me. I don't know what I did wrong, but it must have been bad. Before she has time to yell at me, I rush into the hallway, jump over the cat and notice a parchment envelope, wedged into the side of the door. Im about to bring it back when I notice that the letter....is addressed to me? I rip it open, carelessly and pull out the letter inclosed.

Ezra Young,

You have been selected to attend The International Boarding School of Fine Works*, due to your excelent grades in previous schooling. School terms will be three months on, before a three month break. Departure on the 17th of October. We will be most displeased if you cannot attend.

Yours sincerely, Amanda Hort, Headmistress

I am about to groan and role my eyes when I notice the star next to the title. The writing at the bottom of the page is to small to read. Good thing I have a magnifying glass....I peer onto the writing and see three, tiny words.

Other form enclosed.

I check the envolope, and sure enough, theres another peice of parchment.

Ezra Young,

Once you have read this message, do NOT show your parents. Throw it straight into the rubbish. It is a top secret form intended only for your eyes. The previous message is a fake, to fool your parents. You have instead been selected to join the Top Secret Society of Spies. Details of departure and boarding school terms are the same as on the previous not. You will be trained for three months in an Academy and if you graduate, you will become a professional spy. Good luck, and please consider our offer. Do NOT SHOW THIS TO ANYONE repeat, DO NOT SHOW THIS TO ANYONE!

Thank you for your attention.

Is there an order to who goes next? Just wondering.

Mady~

As soon as my father's snores filled our tiny house, I jumped out of bed and threw on a sweatshirt and a pair of boots. My father is a heavy sleeper, so I don't have to worry about slightly creaky floorboards, though I do still have to be careful. I take a deep breath of the crisp night air, latching the door behind me. As I make my way down the back steps, I notice a piece if yellowed paper flutter in the slight breeze. Frowning, I bend down and pick it up, about to toss it in the trash bin when I saw my name scribbled hastily on the front. There was no return address, just my name with a line underneath it. Even though curiosity nagged at me relentlessly, I stuffed it in the back pocket of my jeans and ran swiftly into the thick trees behind my home.

Scrambling up into the mighty branches of an oak, I positioned myself comfortably on one of its limbs and gently tore open the envelope. My eyes grew wide as I read the fancy print.

Madison Shaw,

This letter is to inform you that you have hereby been selected to join the Top Secret Society of Spies, or TSSS. We trust that you will not share this information with anyone, even family members. Your participation is crucial, but if you choose not to accept, your choice will be respected. Tomorrow night when your clock strikes midnight, we expect you to be in the exact location that you are reading this, alone. Further details will be provided upon your acceptance.

The letter wasn't signed. I read it over again two or three times, not really believing it at first. After I had convinced myself that it was real, I almost laughed out loud. Only a few moments later, the sky began to grow lighter and birds chirped, my cue to head home and pretend I had been sleeping. I jumped down from the tree, a little bounce in my step as I walked home. As I reached the back door, I decided to burn the letter, in case my father found it. I shuddered as I imagined what he would do in the occasion that he did find it.

I groan softly and roll over.  I kick the top bunk to wake up my sister so she can shut off her alarm clock. The noise Emirates from it, and I kick her again. She smashes the button and I sit up.

My keytar is sitting on my bed, which is strange.  I always put it on my desk.  I pick it up, and a scrap of paper falls out.  "Sketch?"

"Hm?" She mumbled, her voice still laced with sleep.

"Did you out a piece of paper inside my keytar and put it on my bed?"

"Nope." She leaps down from the top bunk and looks at me.  I pick up the folded up parchment and read:

Regarding Storra Stilz and Sketch Paint,

Meet me outside your house in your backyard near the bushes.  I will be waiting for you there.  The meeting is at 12:05.  Please do not be late.  If you are, I cannot guide you to the International School of Fine Works.  I will give you more information at the meeting.  I apologise for  hiding this message inside your instrument, but I had nowhere else to put it.

Important! Must read this!!! Sorry, guys, had to get youre attention. Must read THIS! So, everyone's note will be different, so dont get confused if one person is meeting Luna at an oak tree at midnight to explain, and one person's letter contains a false message. Dont try and make yours the same as some one elses it will just get confusing. We'll just say that the differency in the notes is part of the Spy's secrecy!!! MUST READ THIS! IMPORTANT! Thank you!

Luna-

It is midnight. I am waiting for the selected children by an oak tree in their neighborhood. I shiver inside my thin jacket as my breath comes out as mist. Suddenly, a tall, dark haired girl emerges from the fog.

She stares at me. "You were the one..." she whisperes "that sent me the message...why?"

"Shhhh...." I say, mysteriously. "There are still more coming."

In the next five minutes, four or five more children appear beside us, showering me with questions.

"Who are you?" A short girl with wavy black hair says, sliding down the oak tree which we are leaning against, startling the children. Not me.

"You were up there the whole time?" I say, awed.

"Yes..." she replies, simply "I was watching you the whole time."

I smile, thinly.  You will all make excellent spies...."

The children gasp, except a few, who already heard the news in there notes. The differency in the letters is part of our secrecy. The children stare at me in awe.

"Ohhh, you haven't seen anything.....yet."

Iris Penn:

I walk in through the front door and see a note on the counter.  I look around for my mother, my sister, or my brother.  I don't think my mom is home.  I remember mom saying something about going food shopping. I hear Rachael's music from the upstairs.  It's mixed in with Owen's videogame characters yelling signature phrases and words.  I put my bag down on the floor, and look for a snack.  My eye sees a note on the counter.  I pick it up, and read it:

Iris,

12:00 is when I will be home from grocery shopping.  For today, I will make chicken soup for dinner.  Rachael wasn’t feeling well today, so I hope the soup will make her feel better.  Owen wanted me to tell you he will be upstairs playing videogames.  Normally, he is always playing videogames.  Today, I will buy more fruits and vegetables from the store.  You like fruit very much, but I hope you will try to eat more vegetables.  Are you eating healthy enough?  Rachel tells me she is.  Do set the table while I am gone, can you?

Your first wordy letter of tomorrow, Mom

After I read the letter, I am very confused.  Mom usually writes long notes, but she never calls herself a "first wordy letterer", whatever that means.  I'm about to go find something to eat, when I stop and think.  "First wordy letter", "First wordy letter".....I chant in my mind.  My mother never writes such notes that go off topic.  Something weird is going on. That's when I realize what "first wordy letterer" means, or what I think it means.  When I'm done translating the message, I get: 12:00 FRONT YARD.  All I had to do was use the first letter of every sentence.  Together, all of the first letters in each sentence make a phrase.  But when?  Tomorrow in bold shows me my answer.

I think someone is trying to play a trick on me.  Mom, Connor, and Rachael know I would be the only one in the household to look at such fine details.  Maybe it was one of them?  I check upstairs on my siblings, and they say all say they didn't.  I can see they are not lying.  When mom comes home from grocrey shopping I ask her whats a "wordy first letterer" is?

"I don't know," she says, with a strange look on her face that shows she is wondering the exact same thing.

I guess I will just have to find out for myself.

Oh, and Sam really loves music. She usually keeps her music player in her pocket and her earbuds in her ears.

Sam~

I turn up the volume on my music player loud enough so that I can't hear my mother's constant yelling. Flopping onto the bed, I tune it onto my favorite radio station and open up my math notebook. I groan. School sucks. Reaching toward my bed, I make a grab for my pencil when I notice that a small piece of paper had fallen out of my notebook.

"The heck?" I mumble, before picking up the slip of paper and reading it.

Station 102. At first, I'm trying to comprehend how this could have gotten into my notebook. No one had even touched my backpack, and the only time I took it out was in math class.

And what does it even mean? Station 102... Does it mean train station? No, wait, radio stations. But that station is always static? Well, might as well give it a try. I don't want to do this homework anyways.

Fumbling with my music player, I tune it to 102.

"pssshhh....PSsshhh....This is a message from the top society of spies, or TSSS," What? If this is a prank, it's a pretty stupid one at that. Who would ever believe it?

"Please do not share this information with anyone. It is classified information," Pft, like anyone would share classified information with me. "At exactly 12:00, meet at three red roses. It is important that you meet here. Message end."

I gawked stupidly for a moment. 'The three red roses?' What is that supposed to mean? There's the band 'the three red roses' but--Wait, didn't I see them preform a month ago? At the kinda weird place by the alley? Does this mean meet there? And why? This is probaby some dumb prank, or some weirdo or--But why do I think it isn't?...Station 102 has always been static... This is so stupid! Ugh, fine, whatever, I'll just go and see what it is, and if it looks like a prank I'll back out.

Let's see if this works.

Luna-

Over the next few days I make my way around the city, meeting in alleyways, back gardens and abandoned cottaages at the corner of the street. I tell the children the same thing every time. That they've been recruitedq by the Top Secret Society of Spies and they can choose wether to join, whilst their parents believe they're at a boarding school in England, or refuse and keep our secrets safe from everyone. I dont reveal my identity yet, nor do I tell them the Location of our base.

Midnight. Every Night for six weeks....

I am so glad my boss lets me sleep in.
