LilyPad clutched the letter in her trembling fingers, her heart thumping in her chest. She knew this familiar handwritten scrawl and parchment envelope. She tore the letter open and her eyes widened.
This is a CBers at Hogwarts Solo Write. I look forward to seeing how much trouble we can get into in the magical world.

Gender: Girl
Appearance: long blond hair, emerald green eyes and pale, freckled skin. Has a slim build and often wears colourful dresses and skirts (when not at Hogwarts).
Personality: Bouncy, playful and optimistic. Never gets bored and is full of ideas. Liked to brighten up a dark day with a good adventure. Is clever and thinks quickly.
Wand: eleven and a half inches. Alder wood with unicorn hair core. Flexible. Good for charm work and transfiguration.
House: Ravenclaw
Animal (cat, owl, toad or rat): cat
Bringing to Hogwarts: all equipment (wand, books ect.) Chewabacca the ginger cat, portable music player, seventeen note books, practically the entire library, a Nimbus 2001 broomstick, snacks and my lucky charm.

Oh and by the way, CBers will be able to participate through the solo write. For example, I might do a sign up for Quiddich trials (well'e see if we can bend the first year rule) when CBers will be asked to specify what they would like to try out for, their ability and their type of broomstick. Anyway, we will get to that later.

Kyoto felt...well, she felt flat. She was at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry and she felt as if nothing in the world could cheer her up. She glanced glumly across the hall at Starseeker who was seated at the Slytherin table. You see, the thing is, Kyoto wasnt one of those people who made friends quickly. It wasn't that she was shy, or surly or anything, but it took time for her to warm to someone. Now that she was seperated from the only person she knew in Hogwarts, she was alone. And she felt alone too.
If Kyoto wasnt so absorbed in her thoughts, she might have noticed the excited chattering of students die down as they started to stare expectantly at the ceiling of the Great Hall. But of course, she was, and she was taken completely by suprise when a parade of ghosts melted through the walls and begun to float around the hall, beaming at the young witches and wizards as they found there seats on the four house tables. Kyoto gasped. It seemed as though nothing could suprise her now.

Aspen looked down at the table to admire her gleaming golden goblet, and gasped in awe as she saw the crockery before her was now piled with the most delicious foods she could ever imagine. Bowls of steaming soups and stews, platters of fruit, nuts, yogurt, salad. Roast vegetables, lamb kebabs, moussaka, hot chips, rice dishes, pasta, pies...suddenly, she realised how hungry she was and dug in. "Hi." Aspen looked across the table to see tall, curly haired girl with bright green eyes. "Could you pass the potatoes please?" Aspen's eyes widened.
"Oh, um, right." She said, stumbling over the words slightly. "Sure." She reached out pick up the platter of potatoes...and managed to dip the sleeve of her robes in a bowl of pumpkin soup. "Great..." she said to herself. She half smiled and passed the girl the platter. "Thanks." Said the girl, as if she didn't notice. Aspen returned to her pie, cursing under her breath. If she was going to make a friend, now was the time to do it. "Hey what house are you in?" Asked Aspen, then regretted it quickly. She's sitting at the Gryffindor table, you dunce! Aspen said to herself, gritting her teeth. The girl looked unsure wether to laugh or not. "Im in Gryffindor...like you." Said the girl.
"Right....I know." Aspen laughed. The girl laughed too.
"Im Kyoto." She said. "You're pretty funny." Aspen smiled. She didnt know if that was true or not...but she took it. "Im Aspen."
