Chatterbox City RP!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Chatterbox City RP!

Chatterbox City RP!

So I was looking through some older threads and I saw this, and it looked like a pretty cool idea. I think the original was created by Somebody.

Basically, the centre of the chatterbox city is a castle where the Admins live (unless they want to live someplace  else). Everyone else has a house/cave/secret hideout of their own surrounding it. The CBers have to work together to ward off glitches, vampires, giant sparkly unicorns intent on destroying the universe, ect.

The CB City currently consists of a massive library, a starbucks and a doughnut store, but you can ad,d more. Here is the CB charecter sheet you must fill in to join:

I’ll join! I was thinking of doing something like this.

CBer Name; Autumn Moon

Gender Pronouns; Female

Age; 11

Appearance; Shaggy red-brown hair cut quite short. Very tall for their age, at 5’ 2”. Freckles. Gray-green eyes. Blue glasses with round frames(not quite Harry Potter round though.) A long scarf tied aviator style with a image of a beautiful sunset on it. Also, all that was my exact real appearance, so I’m going to add huge feathery wings to make it more interesting. :P

Where I live; My house is made to go with the wilderness. It meanders through the woods in a collection of rooms and pavilions covered with greenery and lit with chains of fairy lights. Most of it is set back from the street, but one room is next to the street as my entry. Kyoto, do you want to be neighbors?

Ideas for buildings; I have a lot! 1) CB Park. It’s a big expanse of wilderness, with a large playground area (not like little kid playground, like an adventure park) and a space with benches and a rock garden. 2) Pzun’s Pizza Plus Pets Place. Run by Pzun,(my CAPTCHA) this animal shelter has a delicious oven-baked pizza restaurant attached. The animal shelter has all kinds of mythical creatures, plus normal animals. raur! 3) Pudding’s Place Theater. 4; Inkwell Studios 5; Down to Earth news broadcaster 6; Chirp at Cricket Community Center (y’know, with a pool and stuff). 7; This Month Publishers, which are slowly going out of business. 8; Blab About Books bookstore, a small place with a backyard for people to talk about books.

Ok, let's start!

I climb down my rope ladder, my hair ruffled in the breeze. Pulling a book from my bag, I stretch out under my tree in the shade. I'm so absorbed in my thoughts that I hardly notice the jingle of an ice cream truck far of, carried away by the breeze. I clamber to my feet and dash of towards the notice.

As I return, with two fat chocolate ice creams, I trudge over to my neighbor Kittens house. I climb up the front porch and knock on the door. It's then that I notice something carved in the wood below the door knob. They look to me like ancient runes of some sort. Funny... Kitten opens the door, smiling.

"Hey Kitten," I say. "I got something for you."

"Thanks." Kitten smiles, taking the ice cream.

"Your welcome." We sit in silence on Kitten's front porch for a minute, munching our ice creams. "Oh, by the way." I say, suddenly remembering. "What are those tunes on your door?" I am rather curious about them, I must admit. Kitten stares at me.

"What do you mean?"

By the way, that's upside down, but that's what the runes on the door said.

I guess we'll be starting now, since we have pretty much everyone? I'll be roleplaying anyway.

Secret ~

"Perfect!" I finished stringing up the last coil of icicle fairy lights, and hopped off my spray-painted, teal stepladder.

I wiped a bead of perspiration off my forehead, and stepped back to admire my work. I loved it. The twinkling lights relaxed my eyes, and made me feel at peace, even with the hectic air filled with TARDIS-themed, heavy-metal music. I entered my tree. The dim lighting and scent of roses wafting from my basement was making me sleepy. I headed off to my basement. About thirty-four or so tunnels were branching off, giving my basement the appearance of a honeycomb, dotted with depressions. "Okay, let's see how many cricket-mails I've got today," I mutter to myself.

Logging on to my computer, it's for once not glitching out with all my cricket-mails. Only a few messages from my pen-pal, and greetings from the other residents are in my chatter-inbox. After moving here to Chatterbox City, it's been much more peaceful. Not many people know me here, and I guess that's a good thing. No more crowded inboxes, causing skirmishes and attracting glitches. No more crowded streets, causing blips and hacks to appear. It's nice and quiet. Finally.

YES LOVE THE BROADCASTING STUDIO IDEA hey can I be a host????? I looove broadcasts that are interesting!

Totally starting now if that's okay!

Chinchilla~

I'm sitting on the rim of the fountain. The fine spray wets my face slightly and makes everything around the fountain look misty. Frederic is lounging on the top of it, sleeping with tiny CAPTCHA snores. He IS SO ADORABLE. I carefully look around the evening Chatterbox City. The light is low, so you can see the many inside lights from the houses. The cobbled streets reflect the light back, making it look like the very streets are glowing. Some actually are, especially the ones leading to the giant park, silent and still. They emit a faint blue-ish gloing, lighting a path to the park.

Hmm. So peaceful. Pepper is on vacation. I think she's on vacation. I haven't been seeing her for a while (What a relief), but she's probably fine. I see a blur of movement coming from the park-what? A small snap, small enough for human ears not to notice, but my fox-ears swivel to detect the cause of it. Suddenly the evening seems a little bit too silent. Carefully I stand up from the fountain. A soft breeze floats through, making the mist from the fountain angle slightly, blurring my view to the park. There it is again! It's hard to see through the mist of the fountain, but I definitely saw something...

I carefully creep forward towards the glowing pavement. Another small crack, like a twig being cracked, seems to echoe through the silence. I tune out the faint TARDIS music drifting from that new Chatterboxer's house... what's her name... ah yes, Secret's house. I silently sneak up to the park, my footsteps somehow muffled on the glowing cobblestone-no, wait, the cobblestone is glowing, but so is some moss on it. A branch brushes my green top-hat. I hear another crack, coming directly from a bush in front of me. Hmmm.

I stay still, and turn a little to look like I'm looking in another direction-ah ha. A blur of movement-a stone being thrown-and a small crack and rustleas it lands in the bush. A prank. Probably some kind of bear trap or something was there. Not gonna fool ol' Chinchilla, sucker!

I think I know where the stone came from, but I wait another second, and sure enough, a stone is thrown-from the direction of an old weeping willow, knarled and wrinkled looking in the soft light of bioluminescent moss and cobblestones. Yes. An obvious trick, maybe by Pepper. I try to relax as I slowly creep up to the willow, looking like I'm scanning the ground for twigs, but something feels wrong. Pepper is more 'YO WANNA COOKIE TOO BAD HERE'S A PIE IN THE FACE HAHAHAHA' sort of style.

Maybe it's just another AE playing a trick on me....? But I can't convince myself. Usually people are more direct, especially AEs. I shrug, and pounce. In a smooth flash of movement, I vault over the willow and land on the trickster!

I land crouched over..... a broken log. What?! But I swear it was from this willow! Unless..... this was a distraction. I gasp, and leap back over the willow and quickly patter down back to the fountain where....

Frederic lies sleeping on top of it. Geeze, why am I so jumpy today? I shrug, and go and sit next to him. Wait. WHAT. I tremblingly lean over Frederic. Or who I thought was Frederic in the low light. It's a small stuffed puppet of a CAPTCHA. WHAT. WHERE IS FREDERIC?!

I softly say "Frederic? Can you please come out now? It's really important and you're freaking me out." No answer. I immediately know that he isn't here. At the least he ould chuckle and scamper into my vision. If I'm serious he usually comes to me. So he's not here. Wgho took him?! What if Pepper was stolen as well?! Suddenly the night seems very silent, and I feel very, very alone. At least I have.... no, wait, Mew is at home. Or she's been stolen like-

Just then my top-hat rings. "ARGH Yes who is it?" I shout, realising it's just my top-hat acting, yet again, as a portable phone. "Sorry, who is it?"

~~~~~~~
DUN DUN DUN!!! Sorry hope that was good, um, could I be a radio-show host? Pwease? Then I could like repoert on stuff sorry, gotta go now.
(January 9, 2018 - 2:46 pm)
I quickly take a photo from my phone. Hey, it could just be graffiti. But I think, no I know, that there's something more to this. I look closer, and adrenaline pumps through my body. The writing is fresh! Kitten looks just as troubled as I am. "What's this about?" She murmurs.
"No idea." I say. "But I think...I think it means something."
***
"There it is." I say, half confused, half satisfied. The same scribbles that Kitten found on her door are carved into the bottom of my tree house. Without saying a word, a rush to the next house, behind the library. Lucy B's tent. As I suspected, traced in the dirt on the front of the tent is the same runes that could be found in Kitten's house and my tent. Now I know this isn't just graffiti. It means something. Quickly I take out my notebook and trace the runes with a pink highlighter (you can see the picture on page three). Then I take out a few more photos.
Ok, Kittens house, my house and Lucy B.'s house. That leaves Secrets, Chinchillas, Kyotos-suddenly I realize something. "The writer must be going in a circle!" I say to myself. "Going around the town starting from Kittens house all the way to the park (behind Kittens house)." If I left my house at...10:30 to visit Kitten, the writer must have just written it, then snuck around the back to my house. That means, I think, that means I can go to the park now and cut them off! I spring into action, sprinting past my house, Kittens house...night is falling now and I can only see five meters in front of me. This can't wait until morning, though. This might be my only chance to catch the writer. I turn around and sprint past the fountain, crashing into Chinchilla holding a plush toy. What's this about?
PinkPanther:
Here’s mine!
Name: PinkPanther
Gender: Female
Age: Unknown
Appearance: Hair is pastel pink in longer curls down my back, fair skin, green eyes, a few freckles, thin, wears whatever I want, has glasses I need to wear sometimes that are black and have bigger frames
Where you live: Literally in a small house that’s two stories (but like, Japanese style. The houses are smaller even if they are two stories, it’s hard to essplain). It’s plant themed, and is perfect to me.
Other: I have a fat cat named Pogo.
Other for Kyoto: I forgot to mention I have a Japanese bobtail cat named Mochi.
Moi~
I get up and contemplate throwing my alarm clock out the window.
So I do.
I hear it crash and a CBer shout angrily, but I shrug and let the window fix itself before heading downstairs. I don’t even care to look at my reflection, as I know what I look like in the morning, thank you very much.
I switch the record from yesterday out of the record player, and put in one of the albums by the Beatles. I’m too tired and lazy to look at which album it is.
I hear a knock at my door, but I make myself a cup of coffee and throw on my robe before I head to answer it.
On the other side is PinkPanther.
“What,” I say.
“That took you a while. And nothing, I’m bored.”
She shoulders her way in and I groan slightly as I close the door.
”Make yourself at home,” I grumble.
“Yeesh. You’re in a bad mood.”
I shrug before taking a gulp of coffee. “Just tired.”
I go to my cabinet and open the “Eat me” jar. Inside is a little fudge square, and I quickly chew on it before immediately feeling better.
“Let’s get ready!” I practically squeal.
Pink just rolls her eyes before heading out. “Meet you at the coffee shop? I’ve never liked your coffee.”
”Sure,” I reply.
Nothing out of the ordinary today, right?
I'm interrupted from an editing spree by a knocking on my door. Lilypad is standing there. "Hello!" I greet brightly.
Lilypad doesn't say hello back. She looks extremely mad. "Is it a coincidence that your fairy lights are the same as the runes that were graffitied on me and Kitten's house?" she asks icily.
"Arghh, those duplicating glitches! Back again?! Lemme check my computer for anything's that's overloading."
Lilypad doesn't look satisfied, but I head back in, and hunt around for the thing that's attracting those glitches. I hear a scurrying sound beneath my feet. Then more. And more! Dashing out my front door, I collide with Lilypad. "What?"
She glares at me. "I've got an infestation of bugs," I tell her breathlessly.
Her expression changes. "Uh, can I tell you something?" she says nervously.
"What?"
"Um, well, the thing is, we don't have a pest control service yet . . ."
*Drip, drip, drip*
I Feel faint. I have been coating my Scribo on the Annalis for the past 3 weeks.
I need to take a break from this.
Putting the spool of magical string away, I go upstairs to check on my sister. this section of the place is like a hype trip, with colors and shapes all over.
It gives me a headache .
I hear the sound of her spinning the Essentia into shape, I enter her room and my oh my, it's a mess. Though she calls it "decorated". I look at her latest creation. It reminds me of two fox anthros I've been writing about.
"So," The Artist looks at me with gleaming, but tired eyes "Boy, or girl?  I just can't decide..."
She she puts her finger to her lips, deep in thought, then she change form to her creation, female, then more masculine. Not perfectly male, but hey, even we can’t change our gender.
“Well?” she asked me.most of the time I would have an answer for these things.
“I don’t know…”
“Ugh, I can’t do males right! Change form!”
“I can’t do that, you know how much I suck at that.”
“I’ll help you, just trust me.”
“Not now, I’m drained, and you look drained too…”
She knows this is true. She can’t hide it, even changing form won’t hide it. She changes back to her form. Blonde hair, sun-tanned skin, and her outfit of jeans and purple t-shirt.
This is her 1,000 form she chosen… literary
“Well at least you broken your record of longest lasting form of... “ I check my Tabella “!,000 years and 9 months”
“Hey, You know how hard it is to find a good form, oh wait, you don’t. Because you had that form sce we poofed from who knows what!”
“Hey I like my form, it’s simple.”
“Yeah? Well- wait what’s that?”
I turn around, there were markings on the wall…it was, unnatural…
I touch it, it felt… weird.
Suddenly I was stung by the writing.
“Gah!” I back away from it
It hurt… but that can't be right.
“What’s going on?” The artist asks me
I had nightmares of what would happened if we left our domain. Well it looks like someone made us leave. I leave the house, The Artist by my side.
This environment was… exotic. A clash of natural and manmade structures sit side by side. In the distance I see a castle.
“Stilus! You’re going to-”
“Will you stop it with that silly nickna- OOF!”
I collided with another being, she had golden hair and green eyes.
“Sorry about that… uh?”
“Lilypad. Are you The Writer?”
“Yes… how you know that?”
“We heard two people moved in last week…”
“Well it looks like someone.. Or something moved for”
“I believe you are forgetting someone…” The Artist joins in the conversation “I’m The Artist, but you can call me Creta! You may call The writer Stilus if you want”
“You will not call me Stilus…What is this place?” I changed the subject”
“Well, Welcome to Chatterbox City!” Another girl with a tie-dye dress and wavy hair introduces us “I’m Secret”
Chatterbox City? I could swear I heard others back in the domain talk about it… It like the world between the mortal realms and our domain.
The Artist beams with joy.
“What are you waiting for Stilus? Let’s explore!”
“I said stop calling me Stilus!”
Chinchilla~
Somebody smashes into me. "ARGH!" I wheel around, and once my sight stops spinning, I see LilyPad holding her head, crouched on the ground. "Oh, sorry Lilypad. Didn't see you there." I say, helping her up. "Why are you here?" I ask. "Um, I'm kind of trying to catch someone. Did you see or hear anything strange around the park?" She answers. I nod. "I was hanging out here with Frederic when I heard some weird noises in the park. I tried to catch the parson who was making it, but.... when I came back, Frederic... he wasn't.... there was just this... this sick thing here!" I say, brandishing the doll. "I mean, what sort of freak captures an innocent, well, not really innocent, CAPTCHA?! And I haven't seen Pepper around recently and I don't know where Notes is, and, and...." I trail off. Lilypad is looking thoughtful. She carefully says:
"Maybe.... maybe your CAPTCHA being stolen and these strange runes I've been seeing around are from the same person? Hmmm..."
"What strange runes?" She explains to me, and I nod. "Well. It makes finding that person a lot harder... you said it was about 10:30? Then how could that person be there at the same time? Maybe it isn't just one.... Oh, sorry, I geuss it might be harder for you to find this person..."
Lilypad brightens. "Wait! But I know where he or she will be next! At your house, Chinchilla!"
She hurries away, and I grab my top-hat. I talk into it as I run after her. "Sorry, gotta see omething, call you back" A mufffled voice answers with "BUT THIS IS IMPORTANT NEWS FOR DOWN TO EARTH  RADIO SHOW, just, just come to the studio at, like in, two hours, kay> I have something important to tell you!" The voice shuts off, and I race off after Lilypad
