Just when I thought I would have some writing time, I've been swept away on a surprise vacation to Michigan to see relatives. It's nice, but I wish I could write more.

I guess we'll have to eagerly wait for more when you return. XD Have fun!! Also, where in Michigan are you going, if I (meaning me, the inquisitive Wisconsinite) may ask?

I'm not going anywhere--I'm already staying with my grandparents in the Grand Rapids area. (Ooh, a wisconsinite--I had a very scary experience with wolves in Wisconsin a while back. Do you see/hear wolves where you live?)

Nice! But that's nowhere near me, unfortunately. : T And as for the wolves, not really. We had a wolf come into our field and stare hungrily at our chicken coop a long while back, but then it went away without any problems. I hear coyotes quite often, however; at least once a week. And there's always deer, of course. XD

Same! We once saw a scrawny-looking coyote walk around our farm-fence-thing perimeter and look hungrily at our sheep, also sniffed around the borders.

I think dad might have shot him, though.....

I can't remember.

There were some rabid coyotes in my area recently, a few attacks. I don't know if they're gone yet, but I don't go out much anyway. :3

@Chichilla- XD We were going to get a gun out to shoot around the coyote to scare it, but by the time we got back outside, it was heading off into the woods again

@Viola?- Woo, that would be creepy. Rabid coyotes?? *shivers*

I actually ran into a coyote while I was walking my dog once! It was scary, but nothing bad happened--as it turns out, the coyote was injured and couldn't really do anything but lie there. I'll send a picture when I'm back home...

...which will be happening tomorrow! I'll be back to writing then. (Though I will be taking a vacation sometime in early August, just a heads up)

I watch in wonder, like a star

Whose lofty perch upon the sky

Of dusk-glow paradox afar

With rosy fingers reaching high

To touch the co!d horizon-bar,

Will melt away, and make me fly.

TOP!

(P.S. Which poem am I mimicking here?)

What was it... 'I wandered lonely as a cloud'... The Daffodils?

Come to think of it, 'I Wandered Lonely' does have the same rhyme scheme. I was thinking 'She Walks In Beauty,' by Lord Byron. But there are actually a multitude of poems like this.
