RP

So, this is a RP which will take place at a cafe known as Sterling Dew Cafe, in the city of Rey. Your charries are the workers. Sterling Dew is run by Catherine Rhyneheart, my charrie, whose daughter has gone missing.

When she realizes this she starts looking for all new workers who have special powers, because she knows that Raul Ekers, the secretive and manipulative mayor of Rey, has stolen her child, Jenna, and she knows that he has special magic of his own.

If Raul manages to keep Jenna he will be able to force her to use her power, the power of controlling people, for horrible purposes. So Catherine knows she must get Jenna back as soon as possible, but she can't do it alone.

-------------Here's the charrie sheet. 2 charries max, please, and there is a maximum of 14 workers at SD. I'll post Catherine's later.

I'll post soon, I've got a little bit of work to do and I need to figure out some things in reality, but I'm for sure good with that! Aaliyah would love to come. *Eyes her suspiciously* As I said, I'm good with that idea!

AH I haven't posted in a week! Sorry!

Estelle-

Victoria left me to work in the back. I start to make a sandwich somebody ordered, a meat and veggie sub. I kept working, tired, thinking about Victoria. She was pretty, I guess. Especially those ocean eyes (couldn't help it, sorry) She was nice. But I didn't like like her. As I make the sandwich, two girls around my age whizz past me to a supply closet. One of them looked like Victoria, she must be her little sister. But the other one. . . .

Gosh.

She was. . . beautiful. From her carrot hair to her splash of freckles to the tips of flats. I knew instantly she was my type. Which was weird, because I always thought I didn't like girls all that much. I mean, yeah, I knew I liked them, just not that much. I always thought I liked boys more then girls. But I guess that was wrong. I guess I did like girls. And I loved this girl.

I had to know her name.

I had to hope she was like me to.

---------

YEEP that was short. I apologize. That post was. . .hard to write. Very hard to write. And this moment that I described did take place in my life

:)

This is embarrassing... I fell out of my chair. GREAT. (Sorry if I'm not understanding things, a bunch of posts are flying everywhere.) Okay... Yay long-ish post.

~~~~
Daylee Abbington-
After coming out of the cramped, cleaning supplies closet, I watched Aaliyah walk into the kitchen. I sighed, grabbing a broom and started sweeping near the front of the Cafe. I overheard Felix and Victoria talking. I shrugged and kept sweeping getting clother to the back of the building.
I put the broom back into the closet and walked inside the kitchen, glancing at a beautiful, and I mean beautiful, girl. She had beautiful and glistening olive skin, gorgeous dark brown hair, and green eyes that could trap a girl in there for hours— Wait... Am I staring at her?! I looked down and around me, seeing I'm not even moving anymore and I'm staring at her. Awkward...
I scrambled over to the crate and foldable plastic table Aaliyah was sitting at, watching her sleepily do her homework. I tapped her on the shoulder, “Aaliyah...?” Aaliyah bounced up, eyes widened, “YES?”
“Uhm...” I started, awkwardly sitting down on a crate right next to Aaliyah and laying my head on the foldable plastic table.
“Yes?” Aaliyah cooled herself down, talking normally and trying not to draw attention.
“I think I like someon—”
“REALLY!!?!?”
“Uh ye—”
“OH MY GOSHHHHHHH!!!! WHO IS IT?!!!??!?!” She screamed, bouncing up and down. The beautiful girl looked at us, confused, “Can you keep it down a few notches, please?”
“Right, sorry,” I stood up and bowed to her, trying to be the most sorry I was. I glanced at her name tag. Estelle. What a beautiful name!
“Daylee, you're staring,” Aaliyah nudged me.
“Right! Sorry!” I scrambled back onto the crate right next to Aaliyah, sitting down and hitting my head on the table. Estelle smiled and went back to what she was doing.
“So this is the girl? Ooo la la,” Aaliyah said, poking me.
“Yeah...”
“You get flustered easily.”
“Yeah,” I said, smiling and shrugging.
“I'm going to the library with my sister, Victoria, later. Want to come?” Aaliyah said, smiling at me.
“Sure...” I smiled back.
I went to the front counters, taking people's orders with Phoenix. Phoenix glanced at me a few times. I suspect that he heard myself and Aaliyah in the kitchen. I sighed, ripping out a page out of a notepad and giving it to Aaliyah, who was now sleepily working. Aaliyah sighed, quietly but surely, wanting to go sleep. I smiled at Aaliyah, “I can take your place and you can go to the back and rest, not really sleep but at least rest?” She smiled at me and nodded her head, yawning. She slowly walked back into the kitchen.
Phoenix smiled at me, “So, who's the girl you like?”
I felt like my face was getting extremely warm, “You heard, too?”
“Yep...”
“I'm not telling you,” I smiled, triumphantly.
Phoenix laughed and continued to take people's orders. I sometimes glanced over at Estelle a few times, I have no idea if I was staring.
Estelle walked out from the kitchen and over to the front counters, taking people's orders. Estelle ripped out a page from a notepad and gave it to me, asking, “Can you take this?”
I think I might've just broke then and flopped on the ground unless Phoenix didn't nudge me with his foot. “Sure!” I said to Estelle, smiling.
“By the way...” Estelle turned to me again.
I nodded my head, waiting for her to go on, “Mhm?”
“What's your name?”
“Daylee! Daylee Abbington. What's yours?” I smiled, already knowing her name, but who cares?
“Estelle. Estelle Crest.”
“It's a pleasure meeting you, Miss Crest,” I smiled at her, joking. Finally, I got her name...
Note: I'm changing my "name" from Cami to Roselilt.
Ooooh, I sense a love triangle! I don't have anything to update rn, I'm kinda just going with the flow of the story, but Isla would definitely love to check out the locations found in the library. I'm loving where this is going so far, and I'm glad I don't feel stressed to post in my busy life. Super excited for this RP!
Char--
This is for real.
The thought echoes in my mind as I stride across the kitchen, looking around for a potential helper. I spot a girl with black hair whose name tag reads 'Aaliyah.' Perfect. I saunter up to her.
"Hey, do you want to help me with an important mission?" I ask brazenly. "Catherine said we should go spy on Ekers in the town hall."
She looks at me blankly. "Who are you?" I really need to start wearing that name tag, but I lost it in my room somewhere.
"Char. Char Wills. So, will you help me? I kind of need somemone to do it."
She bites her lip, and I worry she's about to say no.
Sorry, Aaliyah's Point of View is short.
~~~~

Aaliyah~

“Char. Char Wills. So will you help me? I kind of need someone to do it.” Char Wills said to me. I bit my lip, thinking of what to say.

I don't think my brain was functioning right then and there, because I might regret this later, but who cares? I mean, it'll be exciting! I smiled at Char, replying, “Of course! I'd love to help you spy on Ekers and try to get Jenna back!”

I then thought to myself, Wait... Weren't I going to go to the library with Victoria and someone? I then looked up at Char, who was standing right beside the table where I was sitting at and resting, “Wait... When do you want to do this? I'm going to the library with my sister later.”

~~~~
Victoria~
I guess I'm going to the library now. I wasn't really planning on going anywhere else after work, so I guess this'll be great! I thought to myself while running around with a tray carrying food and drinks. “Water?” I asked the few customers I was serving.
“Here!” Someone said.
I set down the water and thought to myself again. I called out the next thing on the tray and set it down. I lost all of my focus and bumped into Aaliyah while she was coming out of the kitchen.
Aaliyah flung her arms every which way and then let out a small yelp, unexpectedly bumping into me. I accidentally flung my empty tray upwards.
“Sorry, Aaliayh!” I said while catching my tray with one hand.
“It's fine! I'm sorry for not paying attention,” Aaliyah replied, smiling.
“Oh, no! I'm sorry for not paying attention myself!”
“Don't be sorry! I was the one who bumped into you!”
“No, really. I am so sorry!”
“Please, don't be!”
“I have to be sorry, I could've hurt you.”
“Nonsense! I could've made you trip and fall!”
We had a huge argument of who was sorry. Random, but okay.
Aaliyah smiled, “I have something to tell you.”
“Okay,” I replied.
Aaliyah and myself walked into the kitchen and we both gathered at the plastic foldable table and I dragged an empty crate up to the table. Aaliyah sat down and smiled, “When are we going to the library?”
“After the work hours of myself and Felix. That's another person we're going with.” I said.
“Okay!”
There was a moment of silence and the I got bored, sitting down at the table and have a quiet moment. I flicked my hand and an illusion of a Morpho Butterfly fluttered around the table. I was reading Aaliyah's mind at that point, having control over my mind-reading powers.
“I know you're reading my mind, Victoria.” Her mind said.
I giggled nervously, “Sorry, I'm just bored.”
“It's fine! I have to bake cookies for orders. Bye, sis!”
“Bye, Aaliyah.”
She stood up and walked off, starting to make some homemade chocolate chip cookies.
I wandered off, going to go find Felix to see if his work shift was done.
Char--
"I'm going to the library with my sister later," she says hesitantly. Privately, I roll my eyes. I can't believe she would make me wait! And for such an important task, too. Still, I smile.
"Of course. We can do it whenever you're ready. How about tomorrow?" I see her relax. Clearly, her sister is important to her. I wish I had a sister. Or at least, I used to wish that. She nods assent.
"Who's your sister, by the way?" I ask, genuinely curious.
"Victoria." She points to a girl a ways away, serving drinks in the dining area.
"That's nice." Still, my brain darts away from the topic, eagerly planning the infiltration of the town hall. "I'll see you tomorrow." With that, I leave to go see what else I need to do.
Vera~
After I calm down about Felix, I feel a little bit sorry about storming off, especially after I se him talking to Victoria. Luckily, bread dough is good for pounding emotions out on. After I put it into a pan, I sit down for a moment, trying to calm myself. I hear Victoria talking to her Aaliya about going to the library. Oh. So that's where they are off to. I try to shrug it off, but I feel hurt that Felix wouldn't ask me. of course he wouldn't ask you after you yelled at him. I think without meaning to. Quiet! I tell myself, trying not to slam things as I search through the freezer for some choux dough that I made yesterday. Making cream puffs would cheer me up, right? Instead, my mood gets worse. To distract myself from the thoughts circling my head, most of which include the library, Felix, Jenna, and hitting things, I begin to listen to everything. Evesdropping, sure. But if I can't use the power that I was born with, what can I do. I pick out individual words from the costomers: Niece, suger cookies, birthday party, farm. I concentrate harder, looking for phrases. 'I just couldn't help myself, Debora. I had to!' 'Don't you like croisants? I thought you liked them!' 'He's starting a karate class this summer, and I'm concerned.' I concentrated harder, trying to follow the threads, when I heard something that made my blood run cold. "I heard something about the library, I think their searching for clues. You may want to move the captive." My concentration wanes, and I dropped a glob of dough onto my boots. Darn. I have to find someone quickly, tell them what I heard. Is Eckers spying on us? I grab the arm of the person nearest me, then quickly let go when she turns to face me. One of the costomers must have wandered in-no. She's wearing a beanie. "Charlotte?" I ask quickly.
"You recognized me! Wait, how do you even know my name. I don't know you. What-"
I interrupt her. "I know a lot of stuff that I probably shouldn't, but that's not important, because I just heard one of the costomers over there say 'I heard something about the library, I think they're searching for clues, You may want to move the captive.'"
"Oh." Her face looked blank, then understanding dawned. "Jenna?"
"Yeah. We need to find out who said it. I'm Vera, by the way. Follow me."
Char--
How does Vera know who I am? I wonder, following her. And what's going on?
Whatever. It's an adventure.
I follow her back to a small storage room. There, two people are slipping out the door, one with wavy blond hair and pale skin. I turn to Vera.
"Are those the ones you heard talking?" I ask urgently.
She looks startled. "How would I know?"
"But they're clearly up to something suspicious. We should follow them!" She looks at me quizzically, and I worry she's going to say no.
-Felix's POV-
Felix sat among the dusty adress books, flipping pages as fast as he could. He had a list of about seven different locations so far, the product of him, Victoria, and her little sister's work. Finally, Felix slammed the book shut, and leaned back. He massaged his eyes - they were swimming from all the words. Besides, it was getting late.
"Hey, let's go check out these locations," Felix said.
Aaliyah stood up readily, and Victoria placed the books back in their shelves. The three started to the first location - a flat for sale above and art studio. On the way there, Felix glanced at the strangers, trying to find out who they were.
Mother of one-no-two, young twins, receipt for a two-seat stroller. Operative for the museum-ID card.
This went on for a while, until the finally reached their destination. Felix motioned to the fire escape, jumping up and pulling down the ladder. The street was deserted, with nobody there in the dim, dusk light.
Just then, a dark figure jumped down from the rooftop of a building, and stood up, right in front of Felix.
/ Jenna \
I woke up in the cold, gray, metal, and dark room. It felt like it was a horror story coming true. I tried to speak but muffling only came out. Seems like there's another cloth over my mouth. Great... I thought to myself, I... I... I want to see Mom...
There was a bang of the door, sounded like someone was being pushed against the door. Maybe someone was knocking violently? Who knows...
I muffled, trying to say something.
Another bang.
Okay... I hope someone is out there to save me... I thought, hopefully. Why even bother... M-Mom... Help...
I weakly smiled, a small smile coming from behind the cloth. I muffled something, and I hope it came out correctly, “I... miss... you... Mom...” Okay, maybe that actually came out correctly. Cool!
I heard another bang at the door. My smiled wiped off my face quickly. Why is someone knocking? Wouldn't the person already have a key or something? I thought to myself, questioning.
Finally someone opened the door, and it appeared to be a male. Meh. I mean, most people here are males, honestly. Like, what? Do they not accept cool women? We're cool too! Women rule the world, boys! I thought to myself, smiling under my cloth again.
My smiled faded quickly. The male had like... I don't know. I can't properly see... I blinked a few times, trying to see everything properly. There we go!
The male looked like he was a little younger than my Mom. He had blonde, wavy hair, that was apparently really messy currently. Okay... grey-ish white eyes. I shurgged to myself, Is he here to save me? Probably not...
I squirmed around, trying to gesture him to let me go. Eh, why not try to get killed, sure. Doing this is probably the opposite of what I should be doing.
A voice from the outside came, it sounded like the older man from earlier, trying to make me say sentences. Gosh he was annoying, forcing me to talk.
The voice cleared their throat and said, “Agent?”
The blonde haired man turned to the elder man who was standing in the shadows, “Yes, Sir?”
“Why are you here?” The elder mand stepped out of the shadows.
There. Like I said earlier, sorry for not posting! I imagined the man coming into the room as Lark. Sorry if I portrayed him wrong.
Hey guys! I haven't posted in a week, and it's also 7:00 am for me, so, just a heads up if this is short.
Estelle-
Daylee. That's her name. It's a lovely name, really. I bet she has a cute little nickname, like Day or Lee. She seems to be close with Pheonix Chance, as well as Victoria's little sister.
"Okay guys, we're closing in ten minutes!", Catherine says. I look out the window, a little bit surprised. Sure enough, it's dark. I head to the back and look at the huge pile of dishes by the industrial-sized sink.
"Hey, can someone help me with the dishes?" I call to the kitchen.
"Sure, I'll do it.", I see Daylee approaching me.
Oh Gosh, oh Gosh, ohGoshohGoshohGosh
"Okay then. . ."
I walk over to the dishes and start the sink. Warm water fills up the sinkbowl (Is that what it's called)? I reach for the soap, not looking where my hand was going, and bump something soft. I look over, and I see our hands together. I want to let go, we need to finish, but I let my hand relax around hers, holding it. Daylee looks at me and gives an embarrassed smile, but also a warm one. And that's when I knew. This - we - were going somewhere.
-
"Okay guys, time to go home. Have a good night! My morning shift people, come at 8:30. My afternoon, come at 4:00.", Catherine says. I grab my things and take a last look at Daylee. I give a shy wave. She waves back.
"Daylee! What shift do you have tomorrow?", I ask.
"What do you have?"
"Morning."
Daylee smiles. "See you at 8:30 then."
I start to grab my things, which is just a bag of clothes to to change into after work. I duck into the bathroom and quickly change into a blue sweater and leggings. Upon leaving the restroom, I spot Catherine locking up.
"Uh, Catherine? Can I. . . eat dinner out your house tonight? And maybe sleep there? It's cold, and I don't want to. . ." I trail off, embarrassed.
"Of course! I'm just worried. . .about Jenna. I miss her so much."
"Yeah, I get it."
--------
Whew! That was fun! Umi and cerinthe, I hope I portrayed Catherine and Daylee correctly.
