Cult of the

Cult of the Dragon Egg RP

You walk down the familiar, narrow tunnel, off for another day of work. the torches are spaced far apart, casting flickering shadows on the bare stone walls. You enter The Cove of the Dragon Egg, a rounded stone cave withought much in it which has become the place where you spend almost as much time in as your home. On the other side of the Cove There is a giant egg - the last in the world, and what it has become your duty to protect. The egg has a mainly chocolate brown, craggle surface, with lots of other flecks of color, and it has a pulsating green light. Bu something seems different today. The flecks of color, usually undertoned that you have to squint to see clearly are brighter, and so is the light coming off of it, and - wait. You gently touch the egg, knowing every crack and crevice after spending years around it. you hand travels doen and - there. At the base of the egg, a new crack has appeared. Than you remember. The prophecy that fortold that the egg would hatch a month from now! The cult will have finally succeded in protecting the egg, and your duties as a dragonwhisperer would soon get a lot more complicated.

The Cult of the Dragon Egg

You, and 11 other special people known as Dragonwhisperers have become The Protectors of the Egg, due to your unique ability to protect it. The egg that your cult is centered around is the last of its kind in the world - the last dragon, and not even a dragon just yet. A Dragonwhisperer is someone (a human) who can telepathically comunicate with dragons. they also have starnge, magical quirks (i.e. eyes that flash purple). Long ago a prophecy had predicted that, one day, after a great war, there would be no more dragons left in the world but one egg, and it fortold that it would hatch a month from now. There are also many other people in the cult, even if their duties are not very related to the egg. The cult's origins are shrouded in mystery, but the goal has always been clear: protect the egg, and the dragon.

The World

This takes place in a magical world with magical creatures (and non-magical ones).  Humans do not have magic (although Dragonwhisperers are magical). About 50 years ago a war which had lasted for many years ended. All of the dragons dies and none of there eggs survived, but one. It is a mystery how such powerful creatures could be wiped out.

Thanks for clearing everything up! So Xavier is now 18 and his Dragonwhisperer quirk: When he shouts or gets angry you can hear a underlying dragon roar and/or growl. Other dragon noises happen sometimes also, (happy dragon noises, satisfied dragon noises, sad dragon noises, you get the picture.) but he doesnt control them. They just sorta happen.

Mkay. Thanks for starting this great RP! I'm super interested! When do we start?

Your character has been ecxepted! You may start now. So far I think your the only character who has been ecxepted besides Gregory, the Overseer, who is mine.

Name: Zaida Quinn

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Personality: Zaida loves a challenge more than anything, but she also likes to challenge others. As a natural born leader, this has found her equal amounts of trouble and of success. In some cases it allows her to see beyond other's conventional ideas and find solutions, but in others, it makes her stubborn and resistant to other authority figures. She is confident, almost to a fault, and is great at coming up with crazy ideas. Sometimes this makes her seem intense, but she also knows how to have a good laugh.

Looks: Short (around 5'2) and lithe, with light brown skin, hazel eyes, and just a touch of freckles. Her dark brown hair ranges from curly to frizzy depending on the day, and she normally wears it tied back with a red band. Zaida often wears a red sleeveless tunic with gold accents, brown leggings, and black combat boots.

Strengths: Zaida cares very deeply about the people around her, and also has a strong moral compass and values that she is unwilling to compromise. She's smart and also really athletic, spending much of her time training. Due to her small size, she especially excels in agility. She's a great leader, and good at motivating people and making things happen.

Weaknesses: Zaida loves to help others, but she's also very scared to be emotionally vulnerable herself, so she doesn't usually let people see what she's actually feeling. She often wonders if as a result, people only really see her for the confident, strong-willed person she is on the outside, and misjudge her true depth. Because of her confidence, she sometimes jumps into problems very quickly and finds herself in too deep.

Likes: Honey, completing difficult tasks, dragons (of course!), fighting with her double swords (she keeps them strapped to her back), telling stories, and organizing pranks.

Dislikes: When people question her thinking, large bodies of water, her height, ducks, geese, failure, when Xavier steals food from her, losing, funerals, and turnips.

Dragonwhisperer quirk: Two deep blue bands, about an inch wide, one around each arm, about midway between her shoulder and elbow. They start to glow when she's angry.

Backstory/why your they are part of the group: She grew up as the second youngest of fourteen kids, and always struggled to feel like she was special or important. As a result, she was driven to train constantly to be the hyper-competent person that she is today, in order to prove that she mattered to them. It didn't matter though. She became very skilled and independent at a young age, and was sent off to another village to find work because their family was always low on money. There, she was discovered by the group, and realized that she wanted to be one of them.

Other: Uhh, I guess potentially open to shipping later on? She's open to all genders, but I think I'll wait and see how this goes before I decide who, if anyone.

Oh sorry, I didn't see the bit about the age until later! She'll be 18 then. And yes, I meant for the blue bands to be part of her skin.

Can't wait to start!

Sorry! It's probably because before we knew about the age restrictions we made younger characters, and 18 was the closest age to the ones we had originally chosen. At least, that's what it was in my case.

Name: Ash

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Personality: He doesn't talk to people except if it's absolutely necessary, which gives others the impression he is a snob, which he is not. He is always very quiet and tends to melt into the shadows. He is actually a very good team player. He has no friends. he makes decisions very fast.

Looks: Tall, skinny, black hair and very pale skin, dark green eyes. Always wearing something black.

Strengths: Thinks fast, runs fast too, very good memory

Weaknesses: Very bad at human relations, allergic to shellfish

Likes: Being left alone, a good kishe (type of drink similar to hot chocolate), his dead brother, Maggie Simons up the trail (not really).

Dislikes: People not leaving him alone, people touching him affectionately without his permission, small talk.

Dragonwhisperer quirk: When he's mad/scared/stressed small black claws grow over his fingers

Backstory/why they're part of the group: Having to do with a dead older brother who liked dragons. That's all I'm gonna say.

Ok! Sorry, I didn't see your reply to @Sammy E.

Dragonwhisperer Quirk: When she feels strong emotions (or just at random times), mandala-like patterns (sort of like henna) spiral up her hands and wrists. They often reflect the situation.

Also, I decided to change her age to 20.

@Admins, could you maybe put that (the quirk and age) into my original charrie sheet? Thanks :)

Done.

Gregory Kal rose early, as usual, off to another day of work before anyone else. He got ready, ate breakfast, and set off. Like the rest of the Cult, he lived underground. He walked down the tunnel to the Cove of the Dragon Egg. He noticed what i wrote at the top, so maybe that little passage was in his POV? Then, he waited in his usual corner for the Dragonwhisperers to arrive. sorry, for my bad writing I just wanted to start roleplaying. also, anyone who has an ecxepted character may start a roleplay chain, like if, say, a few characters are having a conversation, you don't have to keep it on this chain and don't roleplay anyone else's characters.
