URGENT IDEA!!!!!!!

URGENT IDEA!!!!!!!

I just had an amazing idea- I’ve actually had it for a bit but I was kind of afraid that nobody would like it. But anyways, here is it.

What if I make something (with help, obviously) like Kyngdom?  I understand if you don’t want me to becuase I’m so new, I just thought that it’s something I would enjoy doing with some help!

Now here’s a few problems, it would probably (unless the CB Team is interested in granting us a new category like Kyngdom does, although that could be tough) have to all be on Inkwell, but with a lot of pages like that we’d have to figure out how to keep it well organized, maybe make a table of contents, although then we’d have to rely on the Admins putting up with us asking for all of the edits, I’m not sure if they’d like that very much owo

Anyways, I’m probably thinking too far into this, I need to know if you guys and the Admins think it’s okay/it would be fun UwU I understand if you want somebody who’s been on the CB  longer than me to do it.

What a great idea, Niteskiies! You are welcome to start a new
thread for your project. We think other CBers would be interested in joining
and helping to develop your idea as they have on other threads over the years.
There are discussions, art forums, and various contests on this site organized
and run entirely by our creative and enthusiastic Chatterboxers. --Admin

Kyngdom was a mixture of both, depending on who was writing, so I'm pretty sure either would be fine unless Niteskiies would rather just do it one way.

Was Kyngdom posting as charries or posting as ourselves and inserting charries? I would probably go with the first option, but it's up to the people to chose I think.

Bakerloo just said that it was a mix.

I'd go with the first option, otherwise it's a nightmare to tell which charrie belongs to who.

I really liked Bakerloo's idea of the arrival at an abandoned planet. I think it leaves a lot of room for different groups of characters to develop, and for lots of backstory, something more interesting than just good vs. evil. Niteskiies, your idea for all the different planets are all really cool, but I also think that if we were to create something like Kyngdom, it would be best to start with a looser plot and have the CBers develops the world(s) as the story moves along. They seem like a great things to incorporate, but maybe not as a part of the original plot. The great thing about Kyngdom was that anyone could create new places and cities and cultures, because they weren't laid out from the start.

I'm also really glad that you brought this up! I've been wondering for a while if there would ever be another thing like Kyngdom again. I regret not being more of a part of it when I was around as a more active CBer. It was pretty overwhelming to me when I first joined, and as the older, more confident CBer that I am now, I think I'd be able to take better advantage of it. Plus, I bet it would bring in a ton of new people to the CB - that was what got me to join, as I'm sure it did for many others. It would by no means replace Kyngdom, but Kyngdom has slown down a lot over the past couple of years, and it's very difficult for CBers that are around now to join. It's impossible to get through all of the history that's happened on it, most of the main characters are gone, and it feels like none of us now can really influence much of the plot, especially since there are so few people around now.

Admins, out of curiosity, have the team at Cricket ever considered doing something like Kyngdom again? And would you consider it in the future?

We are most excited by the projects that CBers completely come up with on their own and take control of, like you and the other CBers are doing here. We can't wait to see how this idea develops. Good luck!--Admin

I think we should have a couple set places (but not well developed so we can invent things) to start. Then as the story progresses people can make up places.

I like Sybill's idea.  It is very unique and leaves room for development.

I don't have any ideas right now.  But I will share them when I do.

Niiteskies, I think the only problem with your idea is that you've already started worldbuilding. I think we should start with the galaxy of Krein and leave it at that. Kyngdom was so fun because there was basically no worldbuilding--you could create new areas and species, and there was no already set species and cultures. So I say the ONLY thing we leave decided is that it takes place in the galaxy of Krein. Sound good?

So, are we going to have a main conflict for this? Or is that still up in the air?

I'm a bit late to the game here, but I think this sounds cool! I really like Sybill's idea, with the distress call coming from one of the planets, and I agree with... someone XD... that we should just set it in the galaxy of Verin (or whatever it was) and worldbuild as we go.

Mk. So.

-Takes place in the galaxy of Krein. We aren't doing specific planets because creativity.

-An unknown planet sends out a distress call. @Skiies, I think it would be better if it wasn't neccesarily (that is like the hardest word to spell ever, I always get it wrong!) to the rulers, and just a distress signal, because I think it leaves more possibilites for ways the charries could have come across it.

-Somehow, the person in power hushes up the signal after a short period of time, so very few people know about it.

-I was thinking that this could become sort of dystopian also, like for instance: the people of Krein are unofficially divided into two groups. Since it's unofficial, the groups aren't names. Anyways, there's a "greater" group, the one who hushed it up, the group that's in power. And there's the "lesser" group, which speaks for itself. Importantly, no one really knows why, how, or even that they are in two groups. It's been going on for ages. I think this idea would be background, and the two distinctive sides might be the person in power, who doesn't want the supposed equilibrium interrupted/torn apart, and the unknown planet, which may or may not be people who recognized the issue and left.

-@Skiies, no need to use that, that was just an idea.

Did I miss anything? I probably did XD

What if the distress signal could only be received by people with a certain receiver-device-thing, and most of the people who have that receiver are in power, so it wasn't hard for them to cover it up... except that a few other people also had the receiver, and they spread the word?

I like that a lot!

This sounds so cool and I'd love to be a part of it? Will the leaders be presidents, or is there more of a king and queen situation?

What about a sort of oligarchy? I thought of communism at first but I feel like that would be pretty controversial :/

A dictatorship would make much more sense than a presidency or monarchy, unless you want to go for the whole corrupt democracy thing. I'd avoid kings and queens though, it feels a little too fantasy-ish. (And besides, Kyngdom has a tyrannical king, and we should strive to be as far from Kyngdom as possible.)
