Hogwarts RP!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Hogwarts RP!

Hogwarts RP!

I've wanted to make this for a long time...am I allowed to make an RP of a pre-existing fictional world? I hope I'm not plagiarizing. Um.

Oh, and there might be spoilers??? I mean I don't know exactly what's going to happen, but here's a warning.

Also I've never made an RP before so I don't really know what I'm doing. xD  I made it pretty vague so that there's more room to create characters and a plot as we go along.

It's the first week of school, and you're sitting in the Great Hall at your house table. The large room is full of delicious aromas and chattering students. You look up at the doorway, but your best friend still isn't here. You wonder if they're angry at you for some reason.

Your first class is Transfiguration, but they don't show up there, either. Did they fall sick? But you remember seeing them at dinner last night, and they were perfectly fine then. After Transifiguration, you race back up to your House common room and search the room, but you can't find them anywhere. Finally you have to run to your next class, but you're worried. Where could they be?

I guess it's OK, if you give credit to J. K. Rowling for creating Hogwarts, then create your own characters.

I like your writing style. And my writing teacher would be exicited to read yours. She loves short sentences. PS Leafy is actually medium height, I can change it though....

Whoops, sorry about that! There wasn't a height on the sheet, so I just made a random guess. You can ignore that though.

Oh, really? *slaps forehead* Do I really ~

Yes you do. Still, Leafy can be short.

Yeah, that's alright with me.

Alright if I describe the place we were trapped in (if we even were trapped - MAYBE WE'RE GHOSTS! GASP!) I vote for ghosts. That sounds cooler. Like, invisible ghosts.

If it's ghosts, then imma write my experience rn.

I look around me in confusion. My memories were melting as fast as a sundae on a 300 degree sidewalk. I only remembered a figure. Black hood. A textbook. I looked at the Ravenclaw students approaching, but all I heard was a "Where's Leafy?" I waved frantically at them, yet they did not see me. When I looked down, I couldn't see anything. I could only conclude I was a ghost. Why was I the one who had to be trapped? Why? I cursed the black hooded figure and my penchant for textbooks, and all I could do was sit there and wait. I also recognized a Gryffindor student, I think his name was Magnus, hurrying down the hallway I had been in seconds before. I realized the portrait was now a smiling lady, whom i did not recognize. "How did I get here?"

If it's trapped chamber, here is my experience.

I look around me. I was sprawled on the floor, apparently in a secret chamber. When I looked around me, I saw a brunette Hufflepuff and a Slytherin, both wearing their uniforms. I stood up and brushed dust off my uniform as I surveyed my surroundings. It seemed like an old temple, with black vines twining the intricatly decorated pillars, made of stone. As I reached up to touch one, a booming echo said, "You now belong to me! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!" I jumped back in fright, and the brunette Hufflepuff looked up in fright. The Slytherin was not nearly as frightened, and gas lamps suddenly lit up all around us. "Where is this place?" I asked.

Okaaaaaay, this is my first rp, pls dont judge me :)

-----Magnus-----

I walked down an empty hallway as i went to potions when i noticed that a once bustling hall, was half empty. "Hmm, thats weird, I ussually see that boy Leafy and some other Ravenclaws walking down this hall." I thought to myself. "Welp, better get going, i don't want Proffessor Slughorn to shout at me." When I turned the corner to my favorite shortcut to avoid people bumping into me stood a cloaked figure that was seemingly looking at a map when he noticed me, he drew out his wand and blasted a hex at me. "Whoa whoa whoa!" i shouted as I rolled away and sent a stun spell back. No use, the cloaked figure was stronger than anyone ive met, he swept his cloak, dissapeared, and reappered behind me and hit my head. The last thing I saw before i blacked out was a masked face staring above me.

-----Sammy-----     (p.s i won't play as him that much)

" Hey, wheres Magnus?" Iasked Charles, another 6th year. "Dunno, i thought your brother would be back from potions by now." "Yeaaaah, I'm going to ask the proffeser is they have seen him." So i left my dorm and went to the staffroom. After some questions and alot of no's i went back, discouraged that i would not see Magnus for a long long time.

Evy~

“MMMMMMMMPH!” I meant to say, “Let me go immediately or else!” but that’s how it came out. My captor ignores me. They haven’t thought to put a blindfold on me, so I stare around the dark closet, wishing I had my wand. I’m under a Full Body Bind Curse, and can’t move anything except my eyes.

The captor has propped me up against the wall, and the only way I can tell anyone is next to me is the sounds of their struggling. “MMMMMMPH!” I say again. “MMMMMMPH!” the students around me take up the cry. Soon, the echoey closet is full of “MMMMMPH!”s bouncing off the walls. The captor growls, hands over his ears. “Silencio!” they finally bellow, and the closet falls silent.

From their voice, I can tell this is a different captor than the one who put me under a Full Body Bind. I think back to when I was captured. Waiting for Olive outside the common room… we were going to walk to potions together. And we were determined not to be late. The plan was to get up at 6:30, finish breakfast by seven, grab our books and be at potions by 8:15, starting time. But Olive was taking longer than usual to get her books.

Next I’d been put under Petrificus Totalus, and pulled under an invisibility cloak. I’d watched Olive exit the common room, and wait for me. At 8:13, she knew she couldn’t wait any longer for me to come out of the common room- which I wouldn’t have, because I was behind her, petrified, under an invisibility cloak with an unknown enemy who had also taken my wand.

After Olive had gone, I’d been dragged to this broom closet and been joined by several other students. The broom closet seemed to be getting bigger each time a new captive was added. I wonder if it’s a magic room in Hogwarts no one knows about…

I wouldn’t put it past the castle to have one of those. [I’m thinking this is the Room of Requirement.]

“MMMPH!” I try to say again, as one of the captors comes closer, but the Silencing Charm is still at work, and no sound comes out.

Something cold clicks onto my wrist. “Colloportus,” one of the captors whispers, locking the cuff in place. The same is done to my other hand. The captor moves down the line, and I can feel myself being cuffed to every other captive student. A few minutes later, the person is back, and mutters something, flicking their wand. I can feel the Body Bind spell fading, and suddenly I can move again. “Give me back my wand!” I yell automatically, like it would even do anything. “Let us go!” someone else yells, and I realize the Silencing charm has worn off.

Everyone starts yelling, until both kidnappers raise their wands and shout, “Silencio!” The group keeps making noise. Clinking chains, clapping hands, stomping feet. Anything to get someone in the castle to find us.

Above the noise, one of the captors says something. “You’re wasting your breath. This room is soundproof.”

~~

So, I was thinking that the captors, whoever they are, could be bringing the students somewhere else (under disillusionment and silencing spells, obviously) to do something to them? I don’t know, someone else can make up that part. And, Lupine, it’s totally fine! I actually really like that Olive and Evy are friends! :)

I like the sound of that, Luminensce (I apologize for my bad spelling)

----Leafy----

I look around me, and I see a crowd of students booing at a couple people on stage. I feel my pocket for my wand, but it isn't there. "LET ME GO!" I yelled in fury. Suddenly, I can't talk. I recognize a popular Slytherin girl named Charlie and a Gryffindor named Evy. Otherwise, I don't see anyone else that comes to mind. I glare at the captors, then stop abruptly, remembering I don't have a wand.

Sorry it's really short.

-Ace-

"Olive?"

The older Hufflepuff girl looked a bit frazzled, and she was absentmindedly dipping her pen in a spilled inkwell and not writing anything.

"Olive," Ace said, a bit louder.

"Quiet!" Madame Pince hissed from behind a bookshelf, but Olive had been jolted out of her trance.

Olive looked down at her sleeve, soaked in blue ink.

"Olive, have you seen Charlie?" Ace asked, coming over to help Olive with her ink.

"No, sorry," Olive mumbled, "I can't seem to find Evy either. She missed her classes, and I'm not entirely sure why. Nobody else has seen her either."

So more than one person has gone missing? That's right, I didn't see Leafy either.

That was peculiar.

"I feel like we should go look for them later," Ace said.

"How though? Hogwarts is so ... big."

Ace thought for a moment. How were they to find them? It wasn't as if there was a map of where everyone was.

Wait, hold on a second.

Ace recalled a cool, windy afternoon, spent outside by the lake. The leaves were turning different hues of orange and brown, and Charlie and him had decided to go out to see who could finish reading the textbooks first.

Ace, of course, had finished first, by a large margin. While Charlie had continued to struggle with the old english of the history textbook, he had pulled out his violin and began to play.

Charlie had stopped reading to listen. After, she had said, "You can do that, but I can tell you where everyone in the castle is."

Ace, of course, had challenged that. "Where is Parker right now?" he had asked, referring to the annoying fifth year prefect.

Charlie had pulled out a map, said "I solemnly swear I'm up to no good," and promptly told him that Parker was up on the third floor in an empty classroom.

That map!

"Charlie had a map," Ace said to Olive, "That could tell you where everyone in the castle is. I think it should be in her dorm room. Do you think you could get it?"

---

"I have it!" Olive exclaimed, running toward Ace out by the lake.

"Really?" Ace asked, looking up to see Olive clutching a piece of parchment.

They sat down on the frosty grass together, and Ace tapped the parchment with his wand. In black ink, words appeared on the page. 'Moony, Padfoot, Prongs, and Wormtail send their regards'

"Hi," Ace said seriously, feeling just a tiny bit foolish for talking to a map, "Can you show me where everyone is?"

'Say the magic word, kid. - Prongs'

"Uh ... defenestration?"

'Fair enough. Here you go. - Moony'

In curving black lines, Ace and Olive watched the entirety of Hogwarts get drawn on the map before their eyes.

Ace scanned the map quickly. Charlie wasn't there. At all. He checked it three times. She still wasn't there.

"So either they're not in the castle, or-" Ace began, but right then, Olive let out a yelp.

"I just saw Evy! But then she disappeared!" Olive said.

"Where?" Ace asked.

Olive pointed to a corridor on the seventh floor. Ace squinted at it. A flash of Evy's name appeared, then it was gone as quickly as it was.

"There must be something there," Ace said.

"Wait, there's someone going there," Olive said.

Ace looked at the person's name. "Who's Rita Skeeter?"

---

ooOOooh, who is Rita Skeeter, and why is she there?

---

How it should've gone:

Ace looked at the person's name. "Who's John Cena?"

Alyssa Fairheart~

I was lying on the ground of the library, petrified. Not figuratively, literally petrified. I hadn't seen who'd done it, but whoever it was I'll...well I can't do anything until someone came upon me and performed the counter spell.

Aha! This was my chance! A Ravenclaw was entering the library! It was Theo! Of course someone would easily take notice of a student lying on the floor in a Full Body Bind...or so I thought. She walked right past me! Then realization hit me. I was under an invisibility cloak. Of all times to be under an invisibility cloak why now?!? Rough hands grabbed my legs and started pulling me away. i tried to turn my head to see who it was, but since the Body Bind prevented me from doing that, I was only able to spot part of a dark figure. They stopped in front of a wall for a couple seconds, then a door appeared.

Inside was a nightmare, students were trying to scream but a silcence charm had been placed upon them. My captor muttered a counter spell and handcuffed my hands before I could move. I sat on the ground and strained my ears to hear what the people were saying.

"...Alyssa Fairheart..."

"...Your....?.."

"Yes....I..."

"..Not now....Fairheart..."

I couldn't hear much but one of the voices was defenitly that of a woman.

@@@@@@@@@

If Alyssa had been at breakfast that morning she would've received a letter from her mother and father from Potomac, her owl. If she had read the letter she would have known that her older sister (who had become a Death Eater and then went missing) was alive and still evil...and at Hogwarts along with others. But she did not read that letter...so she did not know that one of the captors was someone she knew. Very well.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Ok! Sorry if that last part was a little too controlling, but basically one of those people in dark cloaks is her sister.

Note: Letita is now 13. She is also not kidnapped.

~Letitia~

I'm late for class. Again. I got sidetracked by some blue-haired kid asking where another kid named Leafy is. I vaguely know the missing kid, a little Ravenclaw boy in my year. He's practically invisible. It seems like a lot of other people are missing too, Evy, Charlie, both younger than me. I don't know any of the missing people, and I don't have time to think about it. My mom said she was going to send me about ten Howlers the next time I'm tardy to class.

I slip into my seat, only a few seconds early. I glance around me. It’s Charms class — boring! — with the Hufflepuffs. Neither of the girls who sit next to me are there. Alyssa Fairheart, a Quidditch obsessed Hufflepuff normally sits on my left, and a girl named Olive, another HufflepuffNeither of them seem to be the sort of girl who would skip class. It’s odd.

But, right now, I’m grateful. I spent my entire lunch period trying to catch up on my Potions homework, and I turned all of my food in some sort of olive-mushroom soup. I despise olive-mushroom soup. Which is why I’m glad that there is no one around me who might notice that I am eating a Pumpkin Pasty instead of paying attention to the teacher. Of course, this means that I will be spending my entire lunch time tomorrow catching up on Charms work.

It’s a vicious cycle.

“Letitia?”

I glance up, wiping crumbs from my mouth. It was the teacher. Asking me a question. “Yes?”

“Have you seen Miss Callina Tew? I understand that she is in. . . Slytherin with you, and she was missing from her class with me this morning.

I’m so relieved that I don’t have to answer an academic question that I nearly overlook the contempt in my teacher’s voice as he said the name of my house, and the way he assumed that all Slytherins would know each other. Nearly.

“No. I don’t really know her. She’s not in my year.

“Very well. Damon? What about you?”

I drift back into my dream-state, and am nearly asleep when an absent-minded ghost floats through me on the way to take a message to the teacher. I sit up, startled at the rush of cold as she passed through me. Ghosts are creepy, and I can’t bear the cold. I try to steer clear of them as much as I can. The ghost whispers into the teacher’s ear, and I see the look of surprise on his face, as much from the message as from the cold air that the ghost’s “breath.”

Almost before I can believe it, the class is dismissedApparently, a bunch of people have gone missing, and the school is in a state of emergency. Funny how unsafe everything is here. You would think that such an esteemed school of magic could take better care of the students.

I am about to head to my dormitory to work on the plans for my next non-human rights protest, but as I rush through the door, I see a steely glint in Lucia Tew’s eye. I am about to brush it away, but some impulse in me tells me to follow her to wherever she is going. Perhaps it has something to do with her missing sister, Callina. But whatever it is, she is not going back to the Slytherin common room. She is going somewhere important. Somewhere that I want to go to.

Another Note: @QueenofWolves, could you write the next installment telling where Lucia is going? I hope it’s okay with you that I put her and Callina into this.

Here we go...

Rasmus-

I take the back way out of the common room and climb the stairs to the ground floor, remembering to jump the vanishing step. Why it's designed that way, I don't know. It could be a protective measure so no students from other houses enter the common room, but it tricks as many Hufflepuffs as it does, say, Gryffindors or Ravenclaws. Besides, there's a hidden door at the bottom, so the step is superfluous. I pull out my blue leather-bound notebook and write down about the staircase. I've got a theory about the castle. I don't tell many people about it - I made that mistake in first year.

My theory suggests that Hogwarts Castle is alive in some way - whether that's the entire castle, or just bits of it. How else can things like the rooms locked by passwords be explained? Or how about when Professor Argyle was kicked out of the castle through the sewers and that seventh-year kept waking up in the Muggle Studies classroom? You can't - and that's why I have such faith in my theory. I've never talked to Professor Dumbledore face to face, but it seems he shares my sentiment - he talks about the castle in a very reverent and respectful way.

I turn a corner. There's a figure in a black cloak looking up and down the corridor. I walk hurriedly past him and continue into the Entrance Hall. I get the stramge feeling someone's following me. I turn round. There's no-one. An arm wraps around my neck. A handkerchief, a funny smell, then everything is dark.

Everyone has such cool ideas! Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days.

"Rita Skeeter," I say, thinking. "She sounds familiar..I know I've read her name somewhere..."

Ace, the Gryffindor boy next to me, scratches his head. "Maybe she's the one behind the disappearances."

"Wait," I say suddenly. "I know where I've seen that name. The Daily Prophet."

"Is she an escaped criminal or something?"

"No," I say. "She's a reporter."

"Why would a reporter be kidnapping students?"

Suddenly, Professor McGonagall comes bustling across the grounds.

"Go inside at once!" she barks at us. "Go straight to your dormitories and stay there until further notice. Your Head of House will be there shortly to explain--" and she hurries over to a group of chattering Ravenclaws.

Ace and I glance at each other.

"The teachers must've started noticing the disappearances," Ace says.

"Yeah," I say. "Here, you take the map. Look over it more. When we get out of our dormitories, you can tell me if you've seen anything funny." Ace nods, and tries to fold the map back up. But it snaps back open in his hands. Once again, words slide across the page.

Trust me, you don't want to go closing this without clearing it first.

Ace groans. "Um...clear. Vanish. Wipe. Disappear." He prods it with his wand.

The map folds itself in a way that seems to imply a shrug, and the corridors of Hogwarts vanish.
